This exclusive steak house is a quiet reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Downtown Crossing and the raucous jm Curley in which it is hidden. To find this 10 seat eatery enter at jm Curley, strut to the back of the bar room and duck behind the red velvet curtain above which a sign proclaims Adults Only- no cell phone use. While jm Curley is large, loud and casual, Bogie's is a civilized, rarefied dining room that feels like a private club. Expect sumptuous booths, jazz and gracious service. Bogie's is the anti-steak house. Chef Adam avoids most of the usual tropes, instead opting for nightly improvisations around the ever changing interpretations of dishes like foie gras, caviar, potato, wedge and of course beef. The beverage program by is as contrarian as the food. The wine list has about 20 red and 20 white, the beer list is enormous and compelling, and the cocktails focus on perfecting drinks like the French 75, Remember the Maine and the Sazerac.

    Absolutely phenomenal! The food was cooked to perfection, and our server Jeremy was very attentive and went above and beyond to make our experience amazing. Would recommend to anyone looking for a special date night.

    JM Curleys was rented out and was extremely loud, it ruined the Speakeasy feel. The server apologized a lot and tried to make up for it, which is the only thing that helped. I was hoping by the other reviews the food would have been outstanding but it was average.

    Dining experience was great except they played loud music, including some grunge and punk. Not the background for an intimate, romantic dining atmosphere. However, our server was excellent and they did turn it down. Someone is missing the touches for the speakeasy type of setting. Play the period classics that fit the motif. Otherwise a very fine presentation and setting.

    Service was good but I felt the tomahawk steak was very small for 120$. Also the salmon was over cooked.

    Jeremy, our waiter, made this a truly perfect night. Food was excellent & -the ambiance can’t be beat in its intimate and cool way. Best time in Boston on a Saturday night!

    I ordered filet med well and my husband ordered New York strip medium. They got the orders backwards . So my steak was cooked medium ( way undercooked for my liking) snd my husband’s was over cooked. So considering what we payed it was not prepared correctly. The wedge salad , asparagus and cocktails were good. Our waiter/ bartender did a good job.

    We had a wonderful experience. Be sure to make reservations, tiny place! Afterward we were told by our waiter to go into the champagne and wine bar (new) to check it out and were not treated very kindly by the hostess there so went back out to the main bar (JP Curley’s) and hung out the rest of the night and had a great time. I believe one owner for all of it, but no reflection on the Bogie’s portion, amazing service and food there! Everything in one building.

    Our second visit to Bogie's Place and it did not disappoint. The tuna tartare was phenomenal and plenty for two to share. We also split the Tomahawk steak, and it was prepared perfectly. Our server, Kevin, was great!

    Our waiter Kevin tried so hard but unfortunately the food was terrible. The sides were cold(truffle fries and mushrooms). My steak was under cooked and the salmon was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. The ambience(romantic and quiet) was supposed to be part of the appeal but it definitely was quite the opposite as there was a table full of guys being quite loud and somewhat obnoxious. The tables were quiet smushed together so you feel like you're sitting with the table next to you. Very disappointing as this was our first night in Boston and we thought we were going somewhere special.

    Excellent food, steaks were delicious as were the drinks. I especially enjoyed the Hot 'n Dirty martini. Server was wonderful and patient. Enjoyable night out.

    Service was very slow it took 15 minutes for someone to come to our table. All of the food was decent but entrees were served cold. Steak was cold. Mac and cheese was leukwarm. It felt like all the food was sitting and ready to go not made to order. Overall would rather spend the money elsewhere for fine dining steakhouse.

    An amazing night! Kevin was a great host and to have dinner in a small speakeasy was so neat. We’d recommend it to anyone— if you’re looking for a supper club vibe, this isn’t the place. It was a small, private room with a few tables but was so much fun with our friends.

    A unique little hideaway with only 18 seats maximum. On our visit there were only 10 diner’s 😉 Unfortunately the Tomahawk was not available but the Filet and Bone in Ribeye were great! Highly recommend the server “Kevin K”😎 We’ll be visiting Bogies again soon 🎉

    Drinks were awesome! The service was great as well. We had the burrata and two filets. Mac n Cheese was good too. Definitely a great atmosphere, very intimate and surprisingly quiet.

    Bogie's Place was all I hope it would be. Very cozy/jazzy atmosphere, delicious food and attentive service: perfect for a special date. The steak and filet mignon were perfectly cooked and very tasty (the house gravy and red wine made it even better). We cannot wait to go back and try new cocktails!

    Our first time in Boston, looking for an upscale dinner and Bogie's Place delivered! Super intimate setting, with space for only 8-10 guests, we had the entire place to ourselves on a Monday night. The bone marrow appetizer was phenomenal, as well as our steaks (NY Strip and Filet). The truffle fries were also fantastic. Our server Cameron was very helpful and allowed us plenty of space during date night. The adjacent bar JM Curleys was also great as we stopped by for a night cap. Highly recommend

    I took my husband here for his birthday and we will absolutely be back. A cozy, 10 seater dining experience inside a bustling restaurant, Bogie's place is both incredibly charming and a totally unique and personal experience. We loved everything from the velvet walls to the music selection, not to mention the food was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend!

    Great atmosphere, wonderful food and attentive service. Wanted to celebrate our anniversary but no fan fare was made. No Bloody Mary mix. It wasn’t offered to go get it at the other bar. Other than that. It wasn’t a disappointment.
