Das Restaurant ist wenig charmant und hat den Flair von einem verstaubtem Diner. Wir hatten keine Lust Abends noch weg zu fahren und haben deswegen hier gegessen. Das Essen war OK aber die Bedienung war spitze. Es gibt deutlich bessere Lokalitäten in Boothbay Harbor.
Enjoyed our evening at Bogies. Started the night at the bar; best cosmopolitan ever made by Chantelle. Dinner was excellent, starting with the pretzel rolls and ending with the blueberry pie. Service was outstanding. Staff was attentive and personable.

Spruce Point Inn is spectacular! We were fortunate to be able to get a same-day reservation. Bogie's was okay; about what we expected. I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese, which was way more Mac than lobster. I prefer it with pasta shells, as they hold the cheese better than the rigatoni.

The atmosphere is very good and the dining room and baths very clean. The service was exceptional. The food was average to good. Adequate, but what we ordered was nothing special, but priced accordingly. The campus, service, and setting make it worth the price in our opinion.
Dinner was decent but not exceptional. I ordered mussels and they very mushy. I returned them and had a caprese salad that was good.
Greeted by host. Not very welcoming. Seemed confused and tried to direct us to another more expensive venue at the hotel. Finally another hostess seated us at a table. Service was mediocre. Waiter forgot to bring a drink and after we were served our meal did not return to check on us. Food OK not great. Unlikely to be going back. Long term summer resident of this region having had two weddings at this place for daughters.
Service was very slow. It took 20 minutes to get a drink each time we ordered. The food was good but the service needs to be improved. We had the same experience the next morning at breakfast.
Servers were very nice and attentive. There were 4 of us--two had the Maine Fried Clams and two had the Salmon Over Spring Pea Risotto. The former was ordinary while the latter was very, very good. Love the nautical theme and the just-right menu. Great price points and nice selection of wines. A little noisy due to the high wood ceilings. Would definitely return. The setting is spectacular.

Fantastic hamburger served on hallah bread. Fresh cut fries and slaw. House made pickle. Outstanding lemon tart. Very pleasant and professional staff at this resort. Go early for drinks on front porch. Gorgeous grounds on the ocean. Adirondack chairs.
We were seated in an area where the light bulb were burnt out so it was very hard to read the menu. Instead of moving us the waiter just commented that it was romantic, that would be great if I was on a date but I was dining with my brother and sister.
They both got the clam chowder - hers had a big piece of what appeared to be paper, the waiter tried to tell us it was possible an onion, NOT!
Receiving the main course took a extremely long time, the waiter apologized said chef was in the process of plating our dinner. Then 30 minutes later the manager stops and says he'll go expedite it. When it finally arrived it was ok, fish was greasy, lobster mac and cheese appeared to be alfredo sauce. Anyway we had a goodtime....
We had three couples, salmon was awesome as was the special flounder. One order of NY Strip was deemed to be one of the best steaks she ordered, done perfectly. The only downside was the lobster one was the lazy man taken out of the shell the other one was the usual. The meat was extremely mushy, it tasted OK but the texture was too weird. My friends SO ate hers and she wound up eating the small dish of corn and bread. She spoke to the manager who's demeanor was that of disinterest. She was really disappointed as she didn't want anything she jus thought that shouldn't serve it to others. When the bill came they had taken the two meals off which wasn't necessary all she wanted was an acknowledgment of the problem. Regardless we will be back as our waitress was simply the best and she made our night .
Our service was great, however, our food was just okay and the ambiance was so so. You need to work on your lighting - it feels like a diner. And I don't mean a cool trendy one!!
We were staying at Spruce Point Inn, my husband and I and my daughter and her family celebrating our 50th anniversary. We had dinner at Bogie's the first night of our stay. Dinner was pleasant, the food good and the surroundings casual. Good choice if staying at the inn but there are so many restaurants in Booth Bay Harbor that are good choices for getting the local Maine ambience, I would only recommend Bogie's if staying at the inn and for one night. Overall a pleasant experience.
The food here is very disappointing to say the least. We had to send two soups back and the fish and chips were very greasy with uncooked breading. Lots of loud kids running around screaming. The service was good though.
Restaurant is too small for the number of people at the resort. Menu should have more of a Maine Coast orientation.
Disappointing. I wished I listened to the 2015 reviewers more closely.
Spruce Point Inn is fantastic - so we hoped that the restaurant would be delicious.
ENVIRONMENT: Beautiful - great design, airy, clean and comfortable
WAIT STAFF: Friendly. Beginning of season, surely getting up to speed so there were super-minor kinks that were immediately addressed/fixed (not super attentive despite being in empty dining room, partial order delivered)
Appetizer: Chicken wings were OK, would not order again. Meat was dry and more flavorful seasoning would be an improvement.
Burger: good & loved the Brioche bun
Blueberry Pie was really disappointing. I'm a baker and let me say - the crust was nothing special, the blueberries were cold the crust was soggy and I was BUMMED OUT!!! How can the fancy resort & restaurant here in Maine not have a GREAT blueberry pie?? Should have been a stand out. Really put the nail in the coffin for me.
We visited the Inn last week and once again enjoyed our dining experiences. We especially enjoyed the friendly staff from South Africa and Jamaica. The food at Spruce Point is absolutely the best quality --- we are Chef's and know the difference.
I don't share the guests opinion of the Blueberry Pie. We had that two nights in a row. Along with the cheesecake and creme brulee and they were outstanding.
The flat iron steak in Bogies is excellent. As is the pork chop and the fried clams.
Thanks goes out to Sonya and Chris for taking good care of us and serving us drinks on the front porch of the Inn one evening. That was perfect!

The macaroni in the lobster mac and cheese was mushy and lacked cheese sauce and crumbs as stated on the menu. It was such a disappointment . SPI is a beautiful place, with excellent service.
During our weeks stay at Spruce Point Inn, our family of six enjoyed breakfast everyday at Bogie's. The food, service and ambience were everything that we could have asked for and more. We also have several lunches and dinners at Bogie's. We are planning a return trip next year and I am dreaming of the blueberry pancakes already. Bogie's is perfect - don't change a thing.

We ate here several times during our stay at the Spruce Point Inn. It was great for a casual meal in a pleasant and relaxed environment. Service and food were both excellent.
Came to Bogies for a casual Sunday dinner. They had a "Lite" side option on the menu that fit our needs perfectly. Our meal was delicious and the staff at Bogies provided us with a memorable dining experience during our "end of season" stop there.

Service at Bogies was very disappointing. We felt the staff were not properly trained compared to other fine resorts. The food was inconsistent. For instance, my egg white omelet one morning resembled a thin, hard, white pancake. Clearly not made by a chef. The next day I added spinach to it and the omelet was made properly, but was swimming in grease. We watched a couple not seated or waited on for the breakfast buffet. They ate heartily and left without being noticed and did not pay the bill, even through there was a hostess and two waiters. For a resort that is listed as a spa, there were no heart healthy options. The oatmeal was made with double cream and sugar. We went elsewhere for breakfast after our experiences.
Enjoyed the prix fixe option. Well spiced jerk chicken wings, tasty Caesar salad, and beautifully cooked salmon and excellent hand-cut fries. Service was excellent; waiter was friendly and attentive but unobtrusive.
Bogie's was a perfect upscale spot for a light dinner. The lite bite salad with lobster was delicious and the lobster mac and cheese was good too. Will go back!
Our visit to Bogies was just what we needed. It was nice to see something other than just lobster on the menu. Great mix of offerings and good children's options too. Wonderful view. Lovely staff.
Bogies was very convenient and the atmosphere is great for kids. Service, while polite, was disappointing. Food was okay, but we opted to avoid it for the rest of the trip - attempts to hit home runs on the menu came up more like singles or doubles. One plus was a reasonably priced wine list - though it was only provided to us after we attempted to order a glass off the regular menu.
We had guests in from NY/Florida and took them to Bogie's. The atmosphere & sunset was gorgeous, the food excellent. The service was very friendly & professional, however, a little slow, although it was a busy Friday night in high season. Noise level is high and lively. Overall we enjoyed our dining experience & were pleased that our guests were delighted! Would definitely recommend Bogie's!
My daughter & I ate at Bogies the first night we arrived @ SPI. The crab cake was done perfectly & large enough to share as an appetizer. I ordered a shrimp kabob as my entree & my daughter ordered the fried clams. Her meal was so large she shared some clams with me and they were done very well. Crispy but not over or under cooked. I ordered the Sangria and it was delicious. We ate breakfest two mornings and had the buffet and it was very good. The only complaint I have is that their Ice Tea & Lemonade need work. If they made fresh brewed Iced Tea & homemade lemonade instead of the watered down mix it would be a great improvement.
We started with drinks at the bar. Very pleasant and knowledgable bartender. Attractive bar. They pour anything requiring tonic with Fevertree which I thought was a nice touch. Especially since we like gin and tonic. Marcona almonds at the bar. Nice. Excellent chowder and Oysters. I had blackened pork. Outstanding. My wife had the red snapper special. Loved it. We had the McMurray Pinot, which I would recommend. Blueberry pie for dessert was inventive and tasty. We've been before and we'll go again for sure.
I wanted to go to a slightly more upscale place while we were in Maine, at least for one night. So glad we found Bogie's. My husband and I took our boys, ages 15 and 12. We were casually but nicely dressed and that is definitely the correct take on this place. Our server was very attentive and informative. This place made a killer gin and tonic (yummy). I started with the clam chowder which was excellent and my husband said is raw oysters were very good (local). Steamed lobster dinner, fried clam dinner, fish and chips and flat iron steak were all outstanding. View while dining looks out over Maine coast. So pretty. Desserts were so good. This was a perfect evening and the restaurant and hotel staff could not have been nicer.
The service was fabulous . Warm and friendly. Comfortable setting. Plenty of choices for all, with very reasonable prices.
