Bogart's Bar & Grill - Rosemont Ratings and Reviews
Service was absolutely terrible. Reservation was at 6:30pm and we had a movie to make at 8pm - leaving us MORE than enough time to enjoy dinner and get to the movie on time. However, that was not the case. We ordered some of the simplest items on the menu (i.e. Salads and pizza) and yet they still managed to mess up nearly every item ordered. But that wasn't even the worst of it, our food wasn't brought out until 7:50pm (ten minutes before our movie - we informed the wait staff of the time of our movie upon arrival). THE RESTAURANT WAS ABSOLUTLY DEAD, THERE WAS SERIOUSLY NOONE ELSE IN THE RESTAURANT AT THE TIME - why in the world would it take THAT LONG to make simple items, and how in the world could you mess up every single order?
We had a great meal after seeing a late afternoon movie with our kids. There are plenty of options for all ages. Our server was on top of drinks and checking in on our meal. The prices are a good value for the amount of food your recieve. Overall we will for sure visit here again soon.
Food was, well, edible. Some entrées came out cold. Cocktails are not very good. Service was surprisingly bad, but also a bit snooty.
Stick with appetizers and basic highballs/beer/wine. I would not make an effort to dine here. It was convenient for meeting friends for a movie.
Went on a Friday prior to a show at AllState. They asked right away if we were seeing a show, we explained while not at that movie theatre we were on a schedule. Our table had the
Hawaii Five-O burger, some type of jalapeno sliders and the Angry Goat burger. All were excellent. Cooked perfectly, NO mushy buns or wilted lettuce. We shared a Feta Fries...holy smokes, delicious, like lick the plate good!!! The plain standard fries were great too. Had a couple of martini's. The mango one was really good. Prices were fair. I will definitely be back.
Liked the menu options. The Reuben egg rollsas a starter were different and very good.
Our server was pleasant and got us to our movie on time. I made a reservation for Four and would have appreciated a table that was not in a busy area. Would eat there again.
We arrived on time for our 6:30 RSVP. We ordered quickly and told the waitress we were here to see a 7:25 movie. We asked about the status of our food 3x and we were told it was coming now. The waitress was nice and did the best she could, but looked like they were understaffed. At 7:15 our food arrived in to go containers, no utensils and the bill. Without any assistance from the staff, we picked up our purses, food, drinks, utensils & napkins and proceeded to the theatre to attempt to eat. The nachos we ordered were served in an oversized pizza box that made it difficult, so we threw away. Very disappointed in the overall services. The concept good work with just some very simple changes. If food is late, why not have guest go to their seats and have food delivered on actual plates with utensils so they are not left carrying everything. Also, waitress taking drink orders during the movie would also be a great addition that guests would welcome. Not sure what was VIP about my experience other that the reserved seat.
These guys have a challenging location from which to attract a lot of covers, but they did a great job with service and the food was really good. I consider this very high end american bar fare. Custom drinks were great. Food had some uniqueness and finesse and was quick and delicious. Can't beat the convenience if you are headed to a movie anyway and there's plenty to do in and around the Rosemont entertainment district there. My wife and I will go back for sure once we've tried all the other restaurants in the area.
This place reminded me of a run down, depressing Vegas hotel restaurant. Our entrees and drinks were ok. But the appetizers and slow service left a lot to be desired. We tried the pickle fries and they were just scary looking. Our kids love fried pickles but the batter in these were not good! Our table was disgustingly sticky. Our arms and the menus stuck to the table. So they let us move to another table that was just a little less sticky. It gave us all a really gross feeling! Our server was very nice. Just really slow at everything. And the place was DEAD. So its not like she was so busy. I was skeptical going there and my fears were confirmed. We will NOT be back!!!
all of our entrees were under flavored except for the hamburger and caesar salad. The reuben eggroll appetizer was especially bad, as the corned beef was chopped into small tough cubes instead of thinly sliced and the rest of the reuben ingredients were mostly absent so that this was like having chopped pieces of beef in fried enchilada dough that could be dipped into thousand island dressing.
The server was friendly but not very available and needed to ask for water several times before it was brought to us.
I had no idea the restaurant was actually inside of a movie theater lobby. I was extremely disappointed when I arrived. Nice decor, great service but a very limited menu. Food was good, served correctly and appealing. Our server Nate was fantastic and attentive. Good suggestion for dessert - Funnel cake fries. Overall, I am glad I got to experience the location but would not have made plans for that specific night to go there. I would've came back on a movie night.
Made reservations for Boagart's strictly because it was close to Zanies where we had tickets for the 7:00 show. Turned out to be a great choice, although the menu is VERY limited. The burgers were good and cooked to our preference. The flatbread tasted as expected. The drinks were great and the customer service was fabulous. We were traveling from Woodstock and traffic was backed up, called to let them know we'd be late and they said, "no problem". We were a half hour late, but it still wasn't a problem. I mentioned to the hostess that I was there with my daughters and we were celebrating our January birthdays, she said, "oh, all 3 of you? How nice!". Little did we know, until we asked for the bill, that ALL 3 of US would get a FREE birthday dessert! It was quite the surprise and very delicious. This place is connected to the Movico theatre there and I think I may have to bring my husband back for dinner and a movie. :)
A group of us recently attended a dinner show at Bogarts Bar and Grill on Saturday February 6th. The food was excellent! It was a new menu from when I was there before and the food was very good. The appetizers were excellent, could make a meal out of just them! The service was fantastic. Our server Lukasz was friendly and really knew how to manage our table of 8. He was available and attentive without being obnoxious. He allowed us to enjoy the show without too many interruptions. We really came for the entertainment, which was beyond fantastic! We saw Rick Elvis Saucedo perform to a packed house! I am a fan and friend of Rick's and I have seen him perform many times. There were many familiar faces and loyal fans of Rick's in the audience. But there were also many newcomers who really enjoyed the show fully, it was great fun to see their reaction to seeing Rick perform for the first time!! Rick had everyone singing along, clapping and dancing in the aisles as well as in their chairs. He was so energetic and really engaged the crowd to participate. Every single person who was there had a great time and left with a smile on their face.Nas Rick will be back at Bogart's on Mother's Day and my family and I already have reservations to celebrate the day there. The Muvico Theatre is a great place to have dinner and see a show. My husband and I go there frequently. Having live entertainment right in the theatre complex is just icing on the cake! We really enjoy Rosemont's Entertainment District. We look forward to the summer concerts in the park as well as all future Rick Elvis Saucedo shows. It is definitely worth checking out Bogart's. You will not be disappointed!!
We went to Bogarts because it had open reservations. The food was average and the service was just ok. When we booked, we did not realize that this was the restaurant located in the movie theater. Not bad if you're grabbing a bite before a movie, but not that great for trying to have a nice dinner for 6.
Though we arrived even later than our late reservations, Bogarts' accommodated us very well. Our server was extra efficient, kind, and helpful. The chicken strips plate with mushrooms and edaname was great, and so were the grilled crab cakes - great martini, too! Thank u to the manager who came out and offered us a birthday dessert, when our choices were out.
My family of four enjoyed a dinner at Bogart's and then a movie. The age range in our party was from 12-77 and all were able to find foods they loved. The choices were great, varied and the portions were generous. All of us enjoyed our meals and I would most definitely return.
Wait staff was attentive and helpful with the menu. Food was hot, cooked exactly as ordered. Drinks were good. Parking garage across the street, (free w/validation) so dinner and a movie without having to leave the building. My wife and I will watch for new releases, and have dinner again, before the show.
