The variety was great. Loved that you serve tortilla espanola, bringing back memories of Salamanca. Wish you had the space to add a true tapa bar like in Spain.

Food was fantastic. My wife and I popped in here late on a Sunday just desperate to eat something, little did we know that it would be so good we'd rave about it for weeks before making a return. The spanish tapas are extraordinary tasting, well sized portions. The wine is selection is fair, we were able to find a wine we enjoyed.

Arrived 45 minutes late for reservation due to traffic - but was still seated within 10 minutes despite a busy evening. Nice restaurant though a bit loud to enjoy dinner conversation.

Staff was very accommodating. We arrived ahead of time and requested a table on the patio for our 7:30 reservation. We wandered around Georgetown while waiting for our reservation time, and at @7:20 the hostess called my cell to let me know that they had a table ready for us on the patio. (I'm not sure we would have been as happy inside the restaurant because it is quite crowded and noisy. The patio was roomier and much quieter.) We ordered a pitcher of sangria, two tapas, and a paella. Everything was delicious. After dinner, we would have liked to have had another glass of sangria at the bar, but again, it was way too crowded and there was no room, so we left. I would go there again, but only when the patio is open.

Food was good but overpriced. Ambiance was good, wine list was good, service could've been better since it was not very busy and we never saw our waiter. The tapas were good but overpriced and we felt rushed. Overall 2/5, we ate here on a vacation weekend and would not recommend this restaurant. It looked good for drinks and a late night snack but not for a sit down dinner for foodies.

The service was good and so was the food. The music was not spanish... I would like some "sevillanas" or flamenco for the ambiance. The place is very nice and they placed us right by the window, which was great.

Service was outstanding. Very attentive and anticipatory. However, while the food was fairly good, in comparison to other tapas restaurants we frequent, the food was exceptionally saltly, almost to the point of being inedible. If they would please use less salt in thier food, this could be a truly exceptional restaurant, given their menu and location.

I love this little neighborhood place. I've been here many times and always order something new and different. And we always order some of the same things every time. The hearts of palm salad is incredible, the grilled prawns amazing! I recommend! Delicious!

Wines are only so-so, food is pretty good but not amazing. Still I will return because the prices are reasonable. And tapas are always interesting. They could update their menu though; nothing too special.

Atmosphere trendy & fun. Food horrible. Very disappointing for a Georgetown restaurant. Better tapas in suburbs!

Great food, great service. We were seated in a really odd/large booth for just three people but the meal was excellent.

This was the first time I was seated in the back room at Bodega and I was so much happier with how spacious and quiet(er) the table was. The decor was charming and it felt like a mini escape. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive - a native of Spain who offered his suggestions. I have been to Bodega two or three times in the past and I have to say I was disappointed by the sangria and even most of the tapas. Nothing really wow'd me.. Until the paella arrived. This was my first time ordering paella and after about 5 shared tapas, my group of 4 needed something more. We decided on the seafood paella and it was amazing. We followed that with two shared desserts flan and fig ice cream (MUST TRY). Overall a great night out!

I always recommend bodega to anyone looking to find great food in a fun and romantic atmosphere. The tappas portions allow you to try many different items. My favorites are the gambas al aijillo and the scallops (sorry I don't know the Spanish name). It is my go to place when anyone comes to visit and its consistently amazig food.

Our server was great - on top of things and very personable. I just wish the food was better. The tuna on the salad seemed to come right out of a can - yuck. The paella flavor was very good (spicy chicken and tiger prawns) but the rice was not cooked through.

2nd time here (1st time I sat at the bar & had a few plates/ drinks). The tapas I tried, Shrimp w/Saffron Rice, paella, beef tenderloin skewers all very good. Ambience I would describe spanish theme, red& black decor. Fun small bar scene. Tapas are bigger than other places so I feel are resonably priced. Interesting drink options. I got the Hibiscus Margarita which was just the right amount of sweet &an interesting flavor(the hibiscus? it did have a flower in the drink). My date got the caipirihna and loved it. The sangria was a little too sweet for me but the bartneder was super nice and attentive. Table waitstaff pretty attentive as well, a couple people checked on us and my date ordered a drink from another server and it arrived no issue

Excellent Tapas and Sangria, we were headed to a reception so it was perfect for a light dinner. Reservations are a must as the place is very popular.

Great food & friendly service. I've been for brunch and dinner, and both were tasty. For brunch, you get a ton of food for a relatively low price. I'd go back every week if I could.

Enjoyed the Sangria and choices of tapas. Our group was a party of of 5; we ordered 6 tapa dishes and 2 entrees - paella and garlic chicken. Actually enjoyed the tapas more than the entrees and much less expensive. Next time would pass on the entrees and if still hungry order more tapa dishes. Our group was seated in the front window area next to the hostess, a very busy area and too loud with people checking in and then standing over us waiting to be seated which was quite intrusive. The people on the street walking by, stopping to read whatever was posted outside the window and then making eye contact or waving to us was obnoxious. I would return to Bodega but would specifically ask to be seated in a diferent section of the restaurant.

Bodega was noisy, even on a weekday night. Food was not memorable, but OK. 3 tapas and a dessert was enough for the two of us. Not much Spanish ambience. The flan was pretty good. Fast and convenient, but we wouldn't go back on another trip to DC.

Although I had reservations, they put us in the back porch area which is quiet but kind of forgotten about. The waitress was nice and personable but I think we got forgotten on several occasions. I think the real scene is up front closer to the bar. Cute back bar with very uncomfortable seating. Food was delicious; albeit a little salty.

I had reasonable expectations for this place, but was let down a bit. The place itself is decorated quite uniquely, but its a very small and narrow restaurant, so getting around during the dinner hour felt a bit like human tetris, but that's to be expected. It's also quite a loud place, so if you're looking for an intimate place to have a nice conversation you may want to explore other options. As far as the food goes, honestly, I sincerely feel that it was overpriced and mediocre. Though not a tapas snob, I love the stuff and have been to my fair share of tapas restaurants. This one just missed the mark. I will say though that the service was great and they had an interesting wine list.

We took a couple of friends who were in town for a conference. The food was very good, although the menu could be updated a little more frequently for my taste. Service was attentive, although it seems like tapas should automatically come with serving utensils. The ambiance was energetic enough to be enliven our private conversation.
