Music was a little loud but food was so on-point it just didn’t matter. Love that place!

Sangria was very good (red). We had excellent Paella a couple of years ago at Bodega -- not so much this time. Tried the seafood. Not interesting or tasty -- needed vegetables mixed in for flavor. Just thick, starchy and heavy. If I ever go back, will try the vegetable version. Service was lacking (little attention from waiter). But they were busy.

I have been a couple of times and they serve my favorite food in the DC area. I will rate the food as amazing, the only problem of the restaurant is the servers. They are not attentive at all, and I mean it. We were trying to ask for the food and he was talking to other people while we were trying to order. I tried to understand that maybe he was busy (even though there were not many people) and waited for a couple of minutes. Then I tried to ask for food and he never even asked if we wanted drinks, so when I tried to add the drinks he left without caring. I would understand if this happened because we did something wrong, but we didn’t even have time to do so, since he never took care of us.

Had I known a flamenco dancer was going to dance right at our table for over an hour I would never have gone here. The guest I took from out of town left the restaurant with a headache likely from the incessant pounding on the floor by the dancer's feet.

I'm all for live music and performance... but Bodega already has a noise problem: adding to that the guitar and vocals of flamenco music AND the almost constant stomping that is a staple of flamenco dance and it was almost impossible to hear. The dancer was literally right behind my guest for long chunks of time.

The performance got in the way of the dining and the noise got in the way of enjoying the evening.

Honestly, not worth the money. The charcuterie board was decent, but the patatas bravas tasted like they dumped buffalo sauce on them. Not a fan.

We ordered 10 different kinds of tapas and they all arrived at the same time. I’ve been to many tapas places and the food is always spaced out throughout the meal. Meal was over way too quickly. Disappointing experience

This is an excellent tapas experience; however, the reviews on open table which say this restaurant is good for "quiet conversation" are misleading. This place was crowded, loud, and raucous, to the point where I couldn't hear the person sitting next to me.
Food was phenomenal, service was on point and the value is reasonable- but this is not a "quiet date night".

I went to Bodega because I wanted a Spanish restaurant with Tapas that had an upscale dining environment. There are some other Spanish restaurant around that may or may not have better food, but I needed a place that would be good for a date. It turned out that the food and overall experience was excellent. The environment is very interesting. It's not exactly a black tie restaurant, but you would want to be dressed appropriately.

The only quirks were refills on drinks. There were some times when I was out of water for a while, but I do drink a lot of water, probably 3 to 4 glasses. They did have a separate server who goes around filling drinks so they do what they can I suppose.

It really seemed like a cool place.

The food was uninspired and the service was poor. As everything is tapas, the dishes come out when they are ready. We had to place our dirty plates on an empty adjacent table because no one was clearing our table. The food was just ok. This is definitely not a place I will return to.

As always, excellent food, excellent staff, and management is awesome. One of my favorite spots in DC. Only criticism would be the wine list availability, they need a bigger cellar as they are regularly out of my favorite wines.

The service was horrible; it took them 15 minutes before they even took our drink order. The servers were not attentive and the food was sub-par at best. We ordered the seafood paella and everything came out pretty dry. The best part of the meal was the complimentary bread. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Very disappointing food. The chef must have no clue as to what real Spanish food is like. For example, the espinaca catalana was raw and tasteless.ditto patatas bravas.

Disappointed with the Paella. It was dry. And the sangria tasted like grape juice.

Food was mainly pretty good, my friend got the chicken skewers which were not flavorful at all, they were very bland. The waiters were a bit inattentive and we had to keep asking for more silverware and water. Nonetheless, the food was good and it came it quickly.

I'm a very biased reviewer as this is one of my favorite places in all of DC. I don't think I have written a review before so felt compelled to provide one after having a great time celebrating my mom's 60th birthday at Bodega this weekend! Highly recommend this restaurant for all occasions and for all ranges of people, can't say enough good things!

Wonderful food in a place with real Spanish ambiance. Tapas were authentic, well presented and delicious. The wine was from Spain and just right. And our server Tatiana was delightful. I look forward to returning as soon as I am back in Georgetown.

We have eaten a number of times at Bodega and have been delighted each time. The tapas are delicious, gorgeously prepared, and it's such a fun and social way to share lots of different menu options. We always feel like we get just the right amount of food, a ton of variety, always top quality, and terrific value compared to other restaurants in Georgetown. The atmosphere and Spanish décor is appealing. The small outdoor courtyard is a nice dining option. Bravo!

Was at Bodega for Sunday brunch. Overall the experience was very good, food was great and it's a cool place. The one issue would be that our server seemed to want to be anywhere else but at work - watching a soccer game at the bar, and generally being absent. The hostess was actually just as attentive to our table as the server.

Had water drop on us and our food during our meal from broken window during storm, as we were seated near front window of restaurant. They moved us to a new table but have to say I was very surprised they did not comp us for anything given how this affected our meal and experience. They were apologetic but on the house drinks or dessert or something would have been the least they could do. Disappointing. Food okay but mostly cold since food had just been delivered to our table when we had to move to another table due to the water issue in restaurant.

We have been visiting Bodega for over a decade. Nobody in DC makes Gambas like Bodega. Gambas al ajillo and lamb chops are the best. Also, you will never go wrong with paella. I would say Bodega is the best tapas restaurant in DC!!

My friend arrived early and was soaked. The staff helped her find a seat away from the vents so she wouldn't be cold.
We ordered tapas to share: bacon wrapped dates, papitas bravas, scallops, and short rib stuffed peppers. All were delicious.
We chatted for nearly two hours and service was attentive but we never felt rushed.

Very good and authentic Spanish tapas. We enjoyed delicious tapas we had not seen on other tapas menus--Basque chorizo sausages and calamari with aioli were the best. The tapas were brought out all at once instead of sequentially, as at other tapas restaurants, so don't order more than six, which is quite generous for two people. We liked the Spanish pop music, but combined with the din from the packed dining room, it became too noisy for us to hold a conversation.

My fiance and I were in the mood to have a date night with a movie.

We decided to try the Bodega and boy we enjoyed everything. The appetizers and paella were phenomenal as well as their homemade sangria. The sangria was a bit over priced but we ordered 2 for the special occasion.

We would definitely recommend this place for a quick bite as well as a new cultural experience.
