Bodega Spanish Tapas & Lounge
Very pleasant first-time experience! Tons of small plates to try. Go for the garlic shrimp and steak. Nice little patio for dining al fresco. Small but good wine selection.
The food is always as expected ... delicious! Excellent wait staff and ambiance. Always a wonderful time!
Awesome seating on back patio,
Absolutely amazing. Went in for brunch and had the best time! Live music, excellent food, and great service. Can’t wait to go back!
Great tapas. Always good service!
When with my girlfriend for dinner, was between $40-45 each including a glass of sangria. Order about 2 tapas each, a cheese board and the free bread. The mussels were really great and the broth was fab!
1. The air conditioning did not work or they did not have any.
2. The food was below average. The meatballs were like frozen and heated in a microwave.
3. The service was ok.
4. Overall terrible experience.
Matt is the best bartenders! Seriously the guy is simply brilliant!
Food was good, but basic. Nothing extraordinary
Enjoyed the fun slightly noisy vibe of Bodega. Bar tender made us feel welcome with great sense of humour and tasty cocktails. Food was delicious. Gambas my favourite. Make sure to get plenty of bread to soak up the sauce it’s in.
Sangria was delicious! I order the grilled octopus and was excellent!
This was my second time visiting. I had a wonderful brunch experience last summer and decided to try it out again for dinner. Although the food was just as fantastic, our service was TERRIBLE! We waited over 12 minutes to be greeted by our server. We didn’t see him again after we placed our food order until 10 minutes before we were ready to leave. We were even poured olive oil for our bread, which he never brought until that last 10 minutes we were there, once we were already DONE with our meal. Food, excellent. Service, awful.
Great food and wine!
An amazing meal! Looking forward to coming back soon!
We had small plates and sangria. All dishes were great but hot plates were only warm when they arrived. Noise level was kind of high for conversation but not fair to call it noise. There was an excellent Spanish guitar player and dancer . Overall a very special place
We always enjoy our dining experiences at Bodega. Love the wines by the glass, the quality and variety of the tapas, and the fun wait staff.
Staff are not professional at all
Bodega Spanish Tapas & Lounge is a beautiful restaurant. Excellent food and customer service
Excellent. Food hot and sangria well made.
Reunion.. met expectations
The food and service were very good, and the atmosphere was pleasant and not too loud.
The food is always great here. The back Matador room is neat as well.
Service was good, each tapas portion is quite large start with two, order more if you need to. Red sangria is very tasty. The was a flamenco dancer and guitarist that provided good entertainment. Don’t know if this was a special for mother’s day, as we had been there before and there wasn’t any entertainment.
Very nice Mother’s Day brunch. Authentic tapas — we’ve been to Spain twice in the last year and Bodega measures up quite well. Initial service was a bit slow but improved throughout the meal.
This was our first time to Bodega, and it was well worth the unexpected rain for date night. The ambiance was great. The service was excellent. Antonio was very polite and respectful. He continuously checked in to make sure that we were doing good. We had a great time and look forward to coming back.
The cafe is narrow and a bit dark. We had a Saturday lunch there. We were seated in back on the open-air patio. There is no view and the area is tight. Our server was very pleasant and the service was prompt. We had the gaspacho, shortrib stuffed peppers, shrimp with heart of palms and chicken croquettes. The shrimp was delicious and my husband really liked the peppers. A pleasant, but not memorable, lunch.
We started out at the bar while waiting for a friend. The bar tender was engaging and funny while still efficient and professional. We moved into the open patio in the back for our meal and went with each recommendation of our waitress. Perfect. We’ll be back.
Really fun night out in Georgetown. Great place for tapas and paella. Had a Spanish dancer and guitar player as well. Very fun and good sangria.
Have been at Bodega for brunch and for dinner. Brunch all you can eat deal was very attractive, and includes cold and hot tapas, brunch items and deserts. Service varies but it is good for the most part (the server I had this Sunday was the exception to this rule). They are very accommodating if you have food allergies - unfortunately I can't say the same about many restaurants in the area.
Food and flavors incredibly subpar.
Tapas variety and quality were both quite high. Nice bottle of Spanish red, guitarist and flaminco dancer, and great service. A fun night!
This meal was extraordinary! We did the unlimited tapas and I tell you what, this was the ultimate experience! We also added the red sangria and it was delicious! All tapas plates were excellent! I would recommend the goat cheese toast with honey, chicken Crockett’s, steak, poblano Pepper with braised short ribs and potatoes. It was so delicious we ordered seconds. Oh and the bacon wrapped dates were to die for! We ordered it three times! It did seem to slow down the second hour of the dinner but it was well worth the price and the experience! At the end of the night they had live music with a dancer and it was great. Dessert was included and we split chocolate cake with ice cream.
Great location in Georgetown. Nice outdoor patio. Flamenco guitarist is a nice touch. Food is a bit uneven but atmosphere is lovely.
Bodega is a fun place with great food and drinks and a lively atmosphere.
Such good service! A group of us went for the unlimited tapas. It’s definitely worth it!
Excelente todo. Muy recomendable.
We went for our anniversary. The food was great, I love the fact it had a varieties of options. They initially sat us next to the bar which was super loud. I asked to the host to move us to the back. They accommodated us to tight section to the back, which was much better then where they sat us before. The service was quick, the food came out fast. The bread was cold. The service was great!
It's expensive for the kind of food you get. A lot of the items were also not available when we ate there. Not really kid friendly. Kind of small place. Our server was very attentive, friendly and professional. It's more appropriate for a date or just a day or night out with friends.
I used a Open Table reservation to explore this place. I was surprised with a $16 lunch special with 2 tapas and dessert of 1 starter and 2 tapas. I had some tasty bacon wrapped dates and a Samoan tapas. The flan for desert was very tasty with nice topping options. Small spanish wine list. I really was surprised that it was only myself and 3 other customers in this place on a beautiful spring day in Gtown. They have other standing specials and happy hour. I would recommend this place.
