Bodean Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Having traveled frequently, I am always looking for good seafood and this was nothing short of impressive. For those who enjoy oysters on the half shell -- Bodean has a great selection from all over the country.
Superbly knowledgeable waitstaff who strive to make the dining experience perfect for the patrons. The wine list is extensive and wines are expertly paired with entrees. My date was new to seafood and was apprehensive about coming here, but the chefs prepared an amazing sea bass entree and suggested a magnificent wine to complete the dinner. She was impressed and will visit again.
We recently enjoyed a wonderful meal at Bodean's celebrating a milestone birthday. Service was impeccable; food was absolutely delicious. From the oysters and crab cakes to the scallops, alaskan king crab, to tuna to filet and ending in wonderful desserts of Chocolate dome and cheesecake - - everything we had was wonderful!!! Staff is so attentive - - they make a special event even MORE special! Such a great place! A true gem to Tulsa!! And worth any drive you have to make to get there!
Took my son and his girlfriend to Bodean to celebrate his birthday. Could not have been happier. Exceptional service - appetizers and meals were outstanding. Free dessert for the birthday guy, and everyone received Bodean’s “gift” - each of us received a beautifully packaged breakfast muffin. Thank you for making the evening so very special!
When our travels take us anywhere near Tulsa we NEVER miss the opportunity to dine at Bodean. Exceptional, big city, fresh/ coastal, seafood cuisine..... in Tulsa. An elegant, quiet, grown up ambience is matched by very competent, affable staff. Don't miss it.
We were recently were in Tulsa and luckily found Bodean's. It is a beautiful restaurant inside, hidden by a bland exterior. Fortunately, the food is up to the interior. The menu is creative and well prepared, but most importantly delicious! Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations.
The scallop dinner was superb, with an amazing mix of flavors, with the corn and cotillia cheese salad down to the dollops of wasabi laced sauce. Equally as good was the halibut, with a mushroom tart.
The only recommendations we could make would be to find a source for better bread...the bread was adequate, but definitely not on a par with the quality of the food. Also, the dessert menu was not particularly imaginative, containing the usual 4 desserts you see everywhere.
Dinner with no appetizer, one glass of wine came to $75 per person. Entrees run $30-40+, pricey, but worth it.
Food was not up to usual standards. Shrimp were rubbery. Some of the Scallops were under-sized. The quantity of Shrimp and Scallops have been reduced since my last visit, despite the price increase. We were not told of the extra cost associated with cook removing the King crab meat from its shell.
The décor is modern and elegant, with white table cloths and fine table settings. Service is attentive and impeccable. The unique salads, fresh seafood entrees, and deserts were all perfect in every way: beautiful presentation, excellent seasonings, and appropriate portions. Nothing could have been improved, unless there was some live jazz music. I understand that this is also a treat on certain days!
Bodean is as "perfect as it gets". There is no need to look for a better top tier restaurant in Tulsa!
Absolutely the best seafood restaurant in Oklahoma and beyond. Me and my wife drove two hours to eat there and it was worth every minute. If you think you cannot get good oysters or seafood in Oklahoma, go to Bodeans! The service was exceptional and the menu and food blew me away. We tried as much of the menu as we could fit in our stomachs and everything was cooked and/or prepared PERFECTLY. Presentation and temperature. We will be returning soon!
The overall experience was excellent. The seafood is fresh and prepared well. The only issue we had is it took a long time between courses. The restaurant wasn't busy so I don't know the reason of the delays. But I was with good friend and it gave us time to visit. I recommend this place for sure.
Food was alright. Waitress was interactive but seemed shocked when the wife had never tried a martini. Food was overpriced for the portion. Drinks were overpriced at $10 for a small glass. Atmosphere was very good. Lighting was good. The restaurant was ok in general. I won't be back.. not because of the service, but because a little piece of Salman, a 6oz steak and a couple drinks cost me $160.
Neighborhood Gem? Tulsa Gem? Oklahoma Gem? Think bigger! This is one of the best seafood restaurants in the country. I recently took my daughter to Bodeans for her 21st Birthday. It was a memorable evening. Kirok and the staff gave her special attention without being smothering. The Executive Chef and the Chef autographed her menu as a memento of the evening. We had Kumamoto oysters, calamari, Norwegian smoked salmon, and Alaskan halibut with a very nice Pinot Noir. Cheesecake and ice cream for dessert. All were spectacular.
