Bocca Di Lupo
We specialise in the obscure and the delicious highlights of food and wine from all across Italy's twenty regions. If we can make something ourselves, we do - gelati, breads, sausages, salame, pickles, mostarda, and pasta of course - the rest is carefully sourced from Italy. A selection of Italian wines and home-made and imported foods is available for delivery, along with our famous gelato, from Gelupo.

Really sad that standards have dropped so badly - I’m sure Covid is partly to blame but all the dishes were banged out without much attention to detail and it felt like no one really cared. A lot of it was cold, the langoustines were like little dried worms, the pasta was cold and the dessert was a stale bun doused in rum. It’s a pity - Bocca Di Lupo used to be my favourite restaurant. Probably won’t come again.
The food was OK, and it didn't maintain a good ratio quality-price. The service was good and speedy.
As always, amazing!!! If you’ve not visited Bocca Di Lupo you really should!
great restaurant - really different Italian regional food - great ambience - good service
Top class,simple as that.
It lends itself to the tier 2 rules so this visit was even more ideal as we ate several small plates and we moved on to another similar style restaurant.
Besides that we have visited on numerous occasions and it never fails.
Looking forward to you guys getting back into tier 2.
Best of luck 🤞
Excellent service during a busy lunch sitting. Food was delicious, can’t wait to go back.
Excellent, imaginative, unfussy food and charming, attentive service
Great food, super tasty and high quality.
strongly recommend.
Food was remarkable, very intense flavours, felt very authentic [tho' I'm no expert!]. service discreet, relaxed, and yet beautifully timed - someone there the moment you wanted anything. Atmosphere welcoming, warm.
Lovely place, lovely people, great wine list. All the food was really quite salty this time though. Even the salad. Still delicious, but it was noticeable.
Seating at the bar overlooking the kitchen was always good, but the pandemic has led to plastic dividers between every 2 seats in this area... this has made it even better imo (by reducing the ambient noise level).
Partridge and Polenta Perfect. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks!
Best meal in London, the food sensational. The service wonderful and really well priced
Amazing food, great service! Such a good spot, will be back again & again!
Visited this restaurant after reading good reviews and although pleased to be sat downstairs and not at the bar this restaurant failed to deliver. We ordered five dishes, three cocktails and a bottle of wine. The bread was good but that was about it. The following dishes were average at best. We struggled with the menu as it wasn’t written in English and asked the waiter for help to which he replied order 2/3 dishes each. Yes but what are the dishes?! Found it very pretentious. All style no substance.
Love this restaurant. Food is outstanding! Definitely recommend the the Bagna cauda and the fried baccala, but everything we ordered was tasty. The service was swift and the counter seating comfortable. Will be returning!
Food was nowhere what I imagined. Originally it was an internet magazine review that had praised specifically the quality of the food that led me to decide to visit this place.
After a friendly greeting and exchanging pleasantries with the waitress at the check in, we were shown to our table. While I praise the establishment’s adherence to COVID social-distancing, not all tables were sealed from one another, one of those being ours. We were certainly not more then half a meter or one meter from the tables either side, let alone two. The staff, which I do feel bad for, but must be mentioned, certainly did not adhere to social distancing when not serving or required by customers. Although, I should point out, our waitress was very friendly and she seemed on stand by for any requests we had so that was nice.
We then ordered the (forgot dishes actual name) tangliatelli with beef, which, again, what seemed like after a life time, (I’m not sure why they called me the day before saying there’s an 1hr and 45 minutes maximum stay when each dish took about 20 years to come) arrived.
I was so disappointed with the quality of the main dish. There was absolutely no flavour to it, what-so-ever. Zilch. For a dish that’s of its price, ‘let down’ doesn’t begin to describe it. My greatest piece of advice to anybody thinking of dining here because of an avid Italian food passion- save yourself the disappointment and dine at any Italian fast-food chain for cheaper and better quality food.
We then ordered desert, the ‘grandpa’s balls’, and to put it frankly, it was absolute garbage. I’m not quite sure how a dish can be both disgusting and tasteless. Worst thing ever eaten, ever.
The atmosphere isn’t anything out of the special, except that there is a ‘restaurant’ option where people can ‘enjoy’ a normal dining experience, or ‘bar’ option where you can eat at the bar (Not joking).
Wouldn’t ever come here again if someone paid me.
As always an innovative menu, staff who are ‘real people’ not putting in a show, and buzzing ambience. Good wine list also.
Delicious food with good sized plates and a great atmosphere. Never disappoints!
arriving with daughter and new born baby in a pram, we were given the corner bar area, after discussion. It proved to be the quietest meal we have ever eaten at Bocca. In these semi locked down times we soon got into discussion with the lady in t he next booth -new born babies do that. Anyway, it was a lovely meal. Some favourites and some new things, the balls of chard and ricotta were recommended by the lady, and very good, and we were delighted to have an excellent Bagna Cauda. We even got to meet Jacob Kenedy, who is charming.
Great good, great service, and a fantastic Negroni
Boccaccio Di Lupo never fails. Every time we go everything is outstanding from the food to the service. Just a real treat.
My absolute favourite in London. Just the right balance of amazing service and food, whilst still keeping the trattoria feel of warmth ans friendliness!
Great food pleasantly and professionally served, as always.
Staff not wearing proper face masks. Didn’t feel safe.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere - special but not pretentious and a great location to explore London
Was totally underwhelmed by the food. Used to be a favourite of mine, however the food had NO flavour this time and was not what I expected. Had really high hopes and took my boyfriend as a celebration, I feel like it was a total waste of money that would have been better spent elsewhere! :( Good service though.
I loved the relaxed feel of this place!
The decoration of the restaurant was amazing.
The wine was excellent!
Our main meals were excellent
( risotto and partridge ) but
we weren’t satisfied by our
small plates of grills.
Furthermore the knives for the partridge weren’t sharp enough.
Overall though we had a great time!!
Fabulous food, atmosphere and service. Jason was particularly lovely, we’ll definitely return :)
Felt it was too busy! Had to wait an hour for food, in a crowded basement - didn’t feel Covid secure at all
Food was beautiful and service was friendly, but we were sat right next to one of the entrances to the kitchen and there were glasses and plates being stacked right next to us. It was quite noisy and reduced the experience somewhat.
Excellent meal for my husbands 50th birthday. So pleased we could get a table and the food was divine. Next time I will order more small plates rather than large ones as prefer to try as many dishes as possible!
Great food, couldn't fault any of it. Always return to Bocca.
Very good food. Amazing service. Sat by the counter which was onto the kitchen and enjoyed observing the passionate head chef get the orders ready. Very friendly staff.
We enjoyed everything about our visit- the service, food and drinks were all great.
This has to be one of the best restaurants in central London. The food and service are absolutely outstanding. I have eaten here several time now, and even with the impending lockdown the food was excellent.
Outstanding food, as always; service slow with wine & bread, otherwise good. Very noisy, as usual but quietens after lunch rush
This was the first time I had been to Bocca DI Lupo for some time and was delighted that the standards are as high as ever.
We will be back as soon as lockdown is over ....!
Going to miss you during lockdown. Delicious inventive food and wonderful atmosphere
Tragic that the restaurant has to close only weeks after re-opening, because it is one of the culinary glories of London. Atmosphere, service, menu, wine list - all incomparable. How are we to live without you?
