Even though there were 3 of us our waiter said the Bocado Experience for 2 would be a lot of food. He was really correct! By the last tapa we were so full. But we did manage to find room for 2 desserts. It was a delightful evening with a lot of different taste experiences. Will definitely be going back!
First time at a tapas restaurant, and was very pleased. We were lucky enough to have Dez as our waiter. He was simply the best, very friendly and knowledgable. Great food for a good price. Will come back for sure!
Every time we have friends or visitors come to town this is our go to place. Food is exceptional and service is on point. Never had bad meal or experience here. Always busy so make reservations.
Second date - it was a good choice. Suiting close was easy, food was great, large portions, but a little loud.
This was my 4th time at Bocado and every time was excellent from the friendly service to the excellent food. I love trying all the different plates. Everyone in my party picked out different tapas and the fun experience is trying something you wouldn't have ordered and loving it and sometimes not but still having a fun time and a excellent meal. I always leave there full. I highly recommend everyone to go!
The only real fail in this experience was that the wine was very mediocre.
Our waiter was attentive and made good recommendations. Can't wait to return!
Sunday dinner - restaurant was fairly empty and quiet. Food was good however the server just did not seem to interested in us. Felt more like the service we woul dget at a diner instead of a better rated restaurant in Worcester.
Great bday get together. 8 of us ate like kings. Food is tremendous. Service was good. Def be back!
Had an excellent anniversary dinner. Fried goat cheese was a great recommendation by our server. Maple brussels sprouts were perfection. Had the ground lamb and chick pea sloppy joe special this month. So tasty. The pomegranate flan for dessert was just the right ending. Thank you Bocado!
We have had dinner at Bocado several times in the last two months and have always had a great experience. The tapas menu is great-- it is one of the few restaurants that has so many delicious options that we cannot even try them all in one visit! Our server (John) was fantastic, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He usually works at the Providence location, but we are glad that he has been in Worcester for the last couple of times we've visited.
The extensive selection of wines is excellent and it's nice to have so many choices by the glass as well as by the bottle. Spanish and Portuguese wines are very good values that many restaurants do not offer, so we are always happy to try the different varieties at Bocado.
We highly recommend Bocado (both in Worcester and Wellesley).
Never dissappoints, great food every time! They have option to pick a set number of cheese and charcuterrie and tappas for $78 I believe. Absolutely best value, because you get to try so much.
Delicious food and great service! Consistently deliver
The food was excellent. The service was good but could have been a little more engaging.
The service and quality of food here is amazing. Timing is perfect when bringing out your tapas plates.
My fiancè and I ate dinner here Friday to celebrate our anniversary. We had been once before in September for my birthday. Everything was fantastic and our waitress, Hannah, was amazing! Worth our 45 minute drive from eastern CT.
Great time and delicious food! 6 of us went and plenty of food.
We've been here many times, and had another wonderful dinner. We tried the seasonal Lamb Sliders, which were fantastic, and the Pecho de Res Cocido (5 hour braised beef brisket, bbq braise sauce, Yukon mashed, Espelette crème fraîche), which is always a favorite. With an extensive menu and great service, we think this is one of the top restaurants in the area.
Very good food and excellent atmosphere. The two of us got 6 tapas to share, plus a dessert. I didn't love the wine flights but I'm glad I tried them. Will definitely return!
I have already eaten at their sister restaurant in Wellesley, MA so I was hoping for the same delightful experience. Although the food was not bad, I was not as impressed as compared to my other visits in Wellesley. Parking is extremely challenging, although, once you do find it, it is easy to get in and out, because it is next to Highway 290.
The plate that I would definitely recommend is the goat cheese with honey Tapa, never disappoints. The wine tempranillo was also great and the bread always comes nice and warm.
The shrimp garlic style, was too dry, for a dish that is usually great to dip your bread right after.
Anyway, if you want a quick bite, this is still a good place in Worcester, MA
Wonderful me and my wife enjoy a lot thank you
The food was fabulous. We had the Bocado Experience for 2- just a little too much food- we would have been satisfied with a charcuterie and 3 tapas dishes. The wine selection is extensive, the music in the background was hip in a Spanish way, and the service professional and appropriate.
As an early reservation, we felt a little isolated in an almost empty room when there were patrons in the other rooms, but things filled up a bit before we were done.
We'll be back and we'll be bringing people with us - this is a great social dining experience!
Bocado was perfect for my first tapas experience. My date and I did the two person experience. All the food was delicious. Portions exceeded our expectations! We left feeling extremely full, with a take-out bag full of leftover paella. The classic paella was amazing. I almost wish it came out first. The house sangria is nice and light with a kick from the brandy. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try tapas for the first time. Shannon, our waitress, was a delight as well!
We really enjoy this restaurant. We think the food is fantastic.
Went New Year's Eve. Busy, but managed well. Great experience (as always), only gripe is we were ordering two plates at a time and the waitress said if we give her all the plates we wanted she'd space them out for us. Next thing... 4 plates spaced by a long wait then 1 plate. If you want to have a certain pace of your food - don't let them do it for you.
Otherwise, great experience.
Overall, a great dining experience. Received an excellent suggestion to try a bottle of Embruix Priorat (pricey though superior quality) and the cheese board was on point. Seating in a booth for our party of 4 was comfortable and allowed for conversation to be heard. All the plates were tasty though the lamb special was a bit complicated, hiding the flavor of the meat.
The promise of the place was high but fullfillment totally lacking. There was not one tapas dish that could stand muster in any city but Worcester. The high point of the evening was an octopus dish that tasted like canned fish. Service was attentive but we were originally shown the worst table in the house by the bar and waiters ice station. No reason to ever go there again.
This was an amazing find in Worcester. My girlfriends and I were blown away by the great service, the ambiance, and the amazing food. The prices are on the more expensive side, but you get what you pay for. For $75 we got 2 small plates, 6 tapas, and churros for dessert. Plenty of food for the 3 of us and I bet that would have been plenty for 4 too. You must try the small cheese plate: fried goat cheese and honey. As well as the tapas: Kabob burgers!
This is my favorite restaurant in Worcester. I have eaten dinner at Bocado three times and all have been an amazing experience. I went with a large party for a friends dinner and was thrilled with the food. I have gone back since for more intimate dinners and have been just as happy with the food and service. The waiter was extremely helpful in making recommendations and understanding the different tapas choices. I hope everyone gets to experience Bocado.
Our server got our order wrong though he corrected it once we told him of the mistake. What was worse was he rushed us out. Didn't even offer us coffee after dessert. The special, pork and beans paella, was dry and not tasty.
This restaurant seems to be good and then bad. Guess the good run has ended. May be time to take a break from Bocado.
The margaritas are great! The amount of selections is amazing! Everything we had was delicious!!
Very well prepared, delicious small bites. We had the 'experience'. It was spectacular. The Red Sangria was very well balanced with fruit and wine. Nicely done. The fact that you get so many choices of Tapas makes it fun.Excellent, courteous and attentive service.
went to Bocado for my daughter's birthday. She was so excited because Bocado has a number of vegetarian options which are all given the care of the meat or fish menu items. We were able to share brussell sprouts, fried goat cheese, arancini, and potatoes dishes which made my daughter very happy. I loved the wine list which is very reasonably priced. Plus we lucked into a time slot (Sunday at 6:30) where we could be seated immediately
The food here is outstanding, and the wine is equally good. I've never seen so many options for flights of wine, which was great fun. The staff is very friendly, and they all seem to thoroughly enjoy the food at Bocado as well as the working environment. It is a must visit restaurant.
Delicious! Way more food than I expected. Pricey but worth it! Already planning on going again!
It was very noisy when we arrived at 7:45 for dinner. The acoustics could be better BUT
we loved the food and our server, Shannon, was very knowledgable and helpful. Excellent server.
It did quiet down later which was a nicer atmosphere.
We would go back and do recommend it to friends.
Bocado has been a family favorite now for a number of years. Amazing food, served expeditiously and always in a friendly, helpful manner. I only wish we could get there more often!
Dinning at Bocado was an excellent experience all the way around. The food was excellent, truly fine dinning and the best wine.
The restaurant was extremely comfortable. The service was great. The food portions were perfect. The selection was such that you were able to try different foods in different combinations. The atmosphere was relaxing we did not feel rushed nor did we feel any pressure either in ordering or in eating. This may be due to the fact that it was a Sunday night. But I think not, I have a feeling that particular ambience and dining style is present on all occasions. Overall delightful
This was the first time my wife and I ate at Bocado Tapas Bar and it turned out to be an excellent choice. We arrived just as the restaurant opened at 4:30 because we had tickets for a show that started at 6:30. The restaurant filled up quickly with people who had the same plans as we did. The service was excellent despite everyone showing up at the same time. All the small plates we ordered were delicious. We each had a glass of very tasty sangria and we shared a (very large) piece of triple-chocolate cheese cake for dessert. Small plate portions are large enough to be shared and the prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be back (even if it's not before a show).
