   I often enjoy lunch and brunch at Bocado, and this led to me to take a guest for dinner on Friday night. The staff, as always, helpful and present. The room not too noisy. The street scene outside fun to view through the glass porch window. My only issues were that the special, an aged NY Strip, appeared to have been marinated in vinegar, and was overwhelmingly steeped in it, leading me to think it had "aged" too much, and thus, became the "special. " It was an expensive mistake. The potatoes also vinegary, alas. My guest truly loved his Bocado burger, however! So a mixed experience, but I will go back and try another night and another special!

   I have a few minor issues. First, I had reservation and had to wait nearly 10 minutes to be seated. I was offered, if I like, a table right near the door which was cold and then eventually seated at a more comfortable locale. If you take a reservation, retain it - do not make those who thought ahead wait. Second, the food was okay - nothing bad but nothing special. Thus, in summary, a good place if you live in the 'hood and wish to get together with a friend or family but not a culinary delight by any stretch. Prices were a bit high for what was essentially diner food.

   The food was really nice! Very good for the price. I didn’t notice that with the brunch is included a drink (e.g. mimosa). Going back for sure!

   Tasty food, good service, not large, but cool environment. My 22 year old and 17 year old daughters and their teenage friend liked both the place and the food. We will be back.

   As always, Bocado was excellent! I had my favorite go-to Steak and Eggs with salad and it was delicious. Hubby had the Benedict which was also great! Looking forward to our next visit!

    Reserved outdoor dining (meaning the tables that are attached to the restaurant but still inside the main structure). We arrived on time but there were no tables available in the area we had reserved. In order not to sit in the overcrowded main room due to covid concerns, we were shown a table in their outside hut. Zero ambience and despite overhead heaters, we ate with scarves, hats and jackets on. All that said, food and service were terrific. I would still go back but I would say front door staff (hostess) not the best.

    Bocado Cafe has become my “go to” place during recent years after I starting working on the Upper East Side. The staff is wonderful: welcoming l, polite and accessible. And, the food is delicious ❤️ Bocado will continue to be my top choice when dining And connecting with friends and colleagues.

    Brunch near the Met is hard to find and I needed a place with GF options. We had merguez omelette and florentine Benedict. The food was ok. Florentine had sautéed spinach and mushrooms with overwhelming garlic flavor but

    We’ve been there before but we’re disappointed this time. Artichokes and lamb burgers weren’t nearly as good. Kitchen seemed to close early and waitress didn’t tell us until after it was closed even though she knew we were ordering as we went along. I’ll chalk it up to a different chef. It will be a while before we try again.

    Really nice brunch. The food, service and ambiance were all great. Only 1 ding, they do not understand what "soft" eggs are. If you like soft and get overcooked eggs you are not happy. We did not sent them back as it throws off meal timing. We will go back but not order an omelette.

    Brunch - I had very good omelet, both my companions had penne a La vodka, which they enjoyed even more because they don’t make it well. Service was fine. The noise level was higher than expected - definitely higher than most evenings.

    I always enjoy Bocado. The menu is diverse enough for all diners. The service is always friendly (sometimes but not often slow) and very accommodating.

    I came here on NYE with my boyfriend from out of town and unfortunately we didn’t have the greatest experience. We were happy that they were able to accommodate us inside after booking an outdoor table. It took about 5 minutes for someone to come greet us and get our drink orders (me being a server here in New York and my boyfriend is a chef, we know how the restaurant business goes and things happen so we didn’t think too much of it). We asked what kind of cheese was on the cheese platter and sadly two of the servers were unable to tell us because they did not know. We got it anyway and it was pretty good as well as the Brussel sprouts. We ordered the truffle gnocchi and the crab cake burger and we both did not like it due to the gnocchi being way too salty and the crab cake was clearly old and had zero flavor. No one came by to check on us to see how we were doing and how our food was tasting until we were ready to leave. No dessert was offered either. It had so much potential and maybe we just went on a bad night but I won’t be returning unfortunately.

    Excellent food. Prompt service. My only complaint was that the restaurant was very cold. It was very cold outside too but could have used some heat indoors. Recommend it highly.

    A true wine bar. Every wine available by the glass. My only critique would be to suggest a wine flight. The food was quality. Try the Bocado avocado and one of the flat breads. The service was on point, timely and cordial. Highly recommend.

    A wonderful selection of food. Great selection of pastas. I really recommend advance reservation. Went at 12 Noon on Monday and soon there after it became packed. The noise (talking) leveled to High bloom. Very good service her and also large portions.

    It was rather upsetting that I had made the reservation on Open Table, got the email confirming my reservation, and, when we arrived, the hostess and manager were arguing with my that we did not have a reservation. I even had printed the Open Table confirmation and they were still arguing with me about it and just stuck my party where they could find a space for us. It was very embarrassing for me in front of my family, since I made the reservation, and I do not understand where the confusion stemmed from.
