It was a great Thanksgiving dinner—we enjoyed tremendously.
The food was great! We were in NYC for the day and needed somewhere to eat on Thanksgiving that wasn’t requiring us to buy the prix fixe meal. They offered a variety of foods and catered to all our dietary needs. They were accommodating when someone in our party wasn’t satisfied with part of her meal. I will come back if I am in the city again.
Great food & service
I've always enjoyed the food here. But this was my first time eating indoors since the pandemic and was concerned that they weren't checking vaccination status.
Fine from beginning to end. Staff paced themselves according to the leisurely pace of three friends meeting for first time in two years. Bocado continues to be very good and is liked by people of all ages.
Service was superb. All worked as a team, they are friendly & efficient
It took 15 minutes for the waitress to come over at first, and 30 more for food to arrive. Somehow, almost nothing had taste. All of the three different types of potatoes that were ordered with our meals were all unappetizing, and the flavors in the dishes were not cohesive. We won’t be returning.
Wish there were more vegan options and ability to adjust offerings for vegans. Was surprised a request to add cream to fra diavlo to make it creamy could not be accommodated. Other than that the non vegans really enjoyed the dishes, especially the roasted artichoke. Didn’t realize only beer and wine served but the wine choices were very good. Has a nice time and would go back.
Eggs Benedict were a little small for the price, but tasty.
We went for the fixed lunch. It was a great choice. Nice place!
Amazing food, service and value. Maybe the best fresh guacamole ever!! Hidden gem!! Will definitely return.
Service was great, not used to New York prices
The place is amazing ! Perfect light and perfect for a day after work!
Me and my boyfriend enjoyed the drinks and food.
The service was amazing!
Interesting menu of good food picks, varieties. Love their salads and burgers especially.
Me & my familia had such a great time at Bocado cafe each time we go there!
Really enjoyed the turkey club sandwich with mixed greens and side of fries, also couldn’t pass up the complimentary mimosas that they offer on the weekends for brunch! A little pricey at $24 for the sandwich but was worth it in my opinion.
Efficient service. Clean cheerful place.
To start of positively - my friend and I really enjoyed our salads and thought they were delicious. We both had the Baby Rocket Arugula - hers with steak, mine with shrimp. The vinaigrette dressing that came with it was delicious and really added to the flavors. My complaint is about the cost. A salad with 5 very small shrimp cost $27?! The mark-up on that is astronomical. The bill before tip came to $60 for 2 salads with a little protein in them. That is all we ordered for lunch and it came to close to $30 per person which is overpriced for what we got in my opinion.
The Asian Chicken salad was probably the best I have ever had. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive.
Good range of food. At upper level a bit of an overreach. Too noisy: no attempt to dampen noise
food is yummy. great menu. lighting at night is really cozy. the backs of chairs at the tables slope so much that it is hard to sit up straight. Poorly designed.
Delicious food for a reasonable price for Manhattan. Convenient location with good amount of space.
My Caesar Salad had soggy lettuce, and indifferent dressing and the chicken was not well cooked. Presentation was nice. The dinner rolls arrived cold from the refrigerator. They sat us near other patrons even though the restaurant was nearly empty on a Sunday evening. Due to Covid, they could have sat people much further apart.
Great neighborhood place to eat.Food is always good and the prices are reasonable.
Very good dining.
Heated outside table was comfortable. Good spacing between tables outside. Morgues fettuccini was very good. Lamb nice alternative.. all salads fresh and excellent.
Nice atmosphere, but food was just so-so. The salmon I had was excellent, but the sides were bland and lacking in flavor.
great for lunch! attentive staff, caring servers. Thanks!
Good quality food combined with a very nice place where to relax and enjoy a brunch with some friends!
Excellent meal with fine service.
Food presentation, quality, quantity, and above all taste was excellent. The bread and water server was everywhere, was exceeding everyone’s expectation.
We love the food at Bocado. The service is always great!
not sure who you have to know or be to get seated in a better table....
Nice outdoor options. Good for brunch. A tad expensive for an upscale diner ... French Roast UWS is better, but not always option for East Siders.
Food was average breakfast fare. Service was slow & unattentive. We were one of three groups in the place for breakfast service so it was a little surprising that everything took so long. They never even refilled our water. For the price though, it was not a bad experience
Not much to say. We were there for breakfast on Saturday morning very early. The server was super friendly and we sat outside in the pleasant air and had nice food.
The buratta & prosciutto and fig flat bread were delicious. The place is nice. Good prices, not too full of themselves. A great place to get a great meal without all of the prissiness you get elsewhere in NYC.
Seating was fast and easy-outside, with plenty of room. Service was friendly and quick, and they returned fir water and drink orders at the right moment. Food was brunch like, so all seemed fine and nicely presented. Would be nice if they had a full bar, but right now just do beer and wine. Overall very pleasant and easy to make reservations which were honored w no problem.
The food is always delicious at Bocado!
Perfectly fine American cafe
My wife and I were in the area and wanted a reasonable lunch. Not crazy expensive, not a quick serve, just a nice quiet meal. Bocado fit the bill perfectly.
I had the avocado poached eggs - the eggs were poached perfectly, the avocado was a little underripe, the bread was marvelous, and the salad a little overdressed. My wife had the Asian chicken salad - the greens were wonderful, the crunchy wonton was oddly served in rounds that had to be disassembled, and the chicken breast was dry and somewhat flavorless.
The service was good and the decor is that of a fun, 'normal', cafe.
In short, I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to return.
