Eclectic and interesting menu. We were there for brunch. Everything was almost perfect but the meals were a bit cold—it was a frigid day in NYC so I will toss that off to the weather as everything was freshly made and beautifully presented.
Enjoyed a dinner with a friend here, ambiance was lovely. Food was good, nothing spectacular but worth the price. Service was great. I’d go back!
I felt the food was more expensive than it should be, but the environment was nice. Don’t sit near the windows in the winter — it’s drafty.
Good vibe, good food
10 times or more i have visited this amazing place. love it every single time. please keep up with brunch complimentary drinks. this is a nice addition
Perfect for brunch !
The food was good, but 660 dolars 5 people it's a little too expensive
After having been to this restaurant many times in the past, I was very disappointed in my visit today. We arrived 20 minutes early for our reservation today and the hostess said it would be a few minutes. We understood as we were early. A few minutes later, she led our party of three to a small table for 2 and said it was the only table available. We were squished so close to another table that I could smell the perfume of the person next to me, which gave me a headache throughout our meal. Our server hardly ever came to our table and it was difficult to get her attention to get coffee or anything else we needed. Our table was so small that had two of us not ordered flat breads that came on long narrow boards instead of regular plates, the three plates would not have fit on the table. At the end of the meal, I received a phone call from the hostess, who I believe said her name was Lisa, who in a nasty tone told me it was now 1:30 and that I had a 1:00 reservation and asked whether I would be showing up. I told her I was already in the restaurant and went up to the hostess stand, and it was the same woman who seated us, and I showed her which table we were and she did not apologize. I traveled a distance to this restaurant because I like the good, but the unpleasant experience was not with it.
When we arrived our reserved table had been given away so the staff was very nice and made up for the inconvenience adding a complimentary drink and excellent service
The food was delicious! The waitstaff was lovely. A little pricey but yummy.
Loved my salad and Bellini! Server was friendly and knowledgeable. Would go back again as the menu was interesting and varied.
good brunch place!
Food hit the spot. Experienced some confusion considering OpenTable. Reservations are not upheld. Was treated rudely when showing flexibility in seating and waiting.
Went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The menu included brunch and lunch items which we appreciated. The restaurant was crowded and noisy but I guess that's to be expected. The tables are crammed in close together so it was hard to converse. The food was good although the veggie burger was quite mush and not very flavorful. Other items were better. The server was fantastic.
The steak, of the Steak and Fries dinner option, was succulent and tender and cooked to perfection. This is the steak I want to learn to cook at home!
Otherwise, this restaurant never disappoints.
Good value with lots of options for mostly traditional Italian dishes. Quick, efficient service was paced well - never hurried but intuitive delivery of courses. Very good food overall.
Fine neighborhood establishment. Food was well prepared and service (Jasmin) was excellent.
The energy level was good with relatively low noise level that permitted comfortable conversation.
Excellent value for this part of town
It is the perfect little neighborhood restaurant. I can’t wait to go back!
Great selection of wine by the glass -- and at decent prices for a full glass. In addition, several beers on draft. Very good gnocchi, almost as good as in Piemonte. Great place though seating is tight.
Good food and ambience, in what felt like a local eatery.
Coffee wasn’t fresh and was cold. Weren’t attended regularly, I didn’t know who my waitress was.
Cozy place with good wine list, great food and perfect service!
excellent as usual.
Buoni sandwich, servizio gentile ma lento. Ottima atmosfera!
Good food, friendly staff nice beer and wine choices. good value. I eat here regularly and am never disappointed.
Bocado is always great...great food, great service! Excellent brunch spot.
Disappointed with the service and overall lack of friendliness.
We had a reservation but we were initially put at a small table against a wall.
I complained and they moved us one table over, not by a window.
My eggs were barely warm and one of my friend’s avocado was too warm.
Very rigid about ordering right away because at 10:00, the menu changes.
But they wouldn’t substitute homefries for French fries that the next table got by ordering at 10:05.
There are plenty of breakfast choices in the area. I wouldn’t visit this one again or recommend it to friends.
I never write reviews, but this place disappointed me enough to go there.
Went there for breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. Included a salad and fruit rather than the hash browns. Delicious piece of rustic bread. Poached Eggs cooked perfectly.
Great Restaurant! My group loved the food, love the environment, and totally enjoyed!
The restaurant was late in bringing our entrees and brought us complimentary desserts and drinks. Really nice of them, and food was great.
Lamb burger was delicious. Service always excellent here.
Service was awful. Waitress was rude. Food was food!
Perfect place to meet up with friends before an event at the 92nd St. Y
Went here during the week because we were headed over to a lecture at the 92Y. The waiter was great...very pleasant and accommodating. Enjoyed a nice glass of red wine and had the special of the evening: chicken parm over fettucine. Restaurant was reasonably priced. And since we were not lingering over our dinner, but we were served promptly with plenty of time to spare, the meal was fine. It is conveniently located and you got your value. If you are looking for amazing Italian, I would recommend going somewhere else. But this was great for lunch, snacks, and before heading off.
Generous portions, good service & great food. 15 minute walk from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Very warm welcome at the door and our waiter was extra special as we were a group of 5 ladies
taking their time to decide on the menu.
First time there, we were not disappointed. Service was very good, waiters were friendly and attentive.r
Food was reasonably priced, tasty and portions were generous. Nice selection of wine. Would definitely go there again.
