Local brunch restaurant for "special occasions". Great staff, management is always on top of things and food doesn't disappoint.
Lovely place, with great Ambiente.
Great find in uptown Manhattan. We had burgers: traditional, their special and a lamb / yogurt mint sauce burger. They were excellent. Oh and a good wine list.
Had reservations so seated right away although restaurant very busy. Server came over quickly and was very pleasant and took order quickly. Asked manager about food since were in a hurry so he went and brought out piping out food himself from kitchen. Husband had swordfish special and I ate lamb merguez over pasta. Everything very tasty. Will return soon.
Had a great time. Very family friendly, they thankfully give out crayons and paper for coloring. Kids menus has good options, including vegetarian options. Will definitely plan on coming back for brunch again!
Great place to meet before events at the 92nd St. Y The menu has options that will appeal to pretty much everyone.
Perfect for a quick dinner before the movies or going to the 92nd Street Y
I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the restaurant. We had a great table by the window and the service was great. Attentive waiter and overall enjoyable experience.
Cute little café. It was very quiet when we got there and the server came right over with coffee. The avocado toast was good but not quite what I expected, as it was just a piece of avocado with the egg on top. Overall, good spot to try.
Returned for lunch after I had and like dinner a few months ago. Was a bit disappointed that gnocchi were not (or maybe no longer) on the menu. But the Mediterranean Lamb Burger was excellent. Much quieter at lunch, did not look like you really needed reservations. Good food at reasonable (though not exactly low) prices, very close to an express (#4,5) subway stop and a short walk to both Guggenheim and the MET.
Love this place!
Bocado Cafe was great!! We got the Bocado fries, kale salad, cremini mushroom flatbread and grilled salmon. Each dish was better than the next! Ambience was great. They even gave my fiancé a second Stella on the house! Had a great experience and will definitely be going back! Thanks Bocado Cafe!
Bocato has a varied menu that works if your party all want to eat something different. Their creative appetizers are good for diners who want “small plates,” and the bar’s “by the glass” wines are very good.
Excellent as always. Prosciutto and Fig Flatbread. Scallop appetizer. Nice wine selection.
I love Bocado Cafe. A varied menu, not fancy but very good food at fair prices. And the staff is terrific.
Nice big space and atmosphere. Food was delicious, shared mushroom flatbread which was outstanding and a chicken avocado sandwich. Everything was very tasty. Price point is just a little high for casual lunch but would return again.
The restaurant was busy on a Saturday night but my boyfriend and I were seated within a reasonable time with check-ins from the owner. The waitress was super friendly and the owner came around and checked in with us again once we were settled. The bread and wine were amazing. Great night!
As always Bocado came through as a solid meal whether it be lunch, dinner or brunch. Everyone in our family Alyssa finds something yummy to eat and that’s not easy w three kids who all have very different palates. Thank you for another great meal!
Good food for a good price. Wait staff busy and a little slow, but certainly within an acceptable range. Only wine and beer.
The food was okay. The service was good and the atmosphere was real nice.
Convenient to UES venues like the 92Y. Good food and pleasant service.
Loved this place. Neighborhood gem and now a staple.
We had a reservation, got seated right away. Crowded but waitperson arrived immediately. Cheese plate was enough for an entree +. Rocket salad excellent, gnocchi as entree enough for 2. To
A very trendy UES eatery. Very very busy with a nice menu. On the plus side, the food delish, the menu was varied and the staff was lovely although spread a bit thin. Although they were very busy, they never made us feel rushed. On the negative side, although we had a reservation, our table was awkwardly placed. They squeezed us into a table for four when there were five of us. Our fifth had to sit on the end jutting out into the aisle. We did not say anything, but it should have been planned out better.
Menu items sounded really good (e.g. Brussel Sprouts w/ Chorizo) but the execution of the dishes was uninspired and all of our dishes were too greasy. Our waitress, Priscilla, was a delight at least and gave very good service. If I were to go back I would probably stick to the burgers section of the menu.
Delicious brunch loved the spring salad tasty, excellent service, have choices I don’t eat pork and they have turkey bacon which is rare at brunch places, this place has become one of my favorite places to brunch from now on..! P
Great surprise, passed it so many times. We all enjoyed, will definitely return
The server made our meal here, which I always like to call out to support good customer service. She was fantastic and I wish I had her name. My daughter ordered a burger medium rare and I ordered same for my salmon., Both came raw, cold in center. I am always afraid to send back under-cooked food as it is difficult to reheat without overdoing it. Which is exactly what happened. But it wasn't the server's fault and she graciously waived a glass of wine and brought us a dessert sampler. It's only because of this that I will definitely give it another try.
Delicious food with generous portions, but very noisy. We will go back again!
Went to this restaurant because we received a gift card for Christmas. When the bill came we were told that the tip could not be paid with the gift card. When we attempted to get change at the bar for the tip, the bartender said he "couldn't make change" for us. The Restaurant manager just shrugged his shoulders. FINALLY our waitress gave us change from her tip money. Also, two kids came to our table soliciting for money for their basketball league--why do they allow this to happen? We won't be back.
Overpriced sandwiches and wine (even by NYC standard prices).
The brunch was very good. Delicious fluffy pancakes with fruit, servers varieties of eggs Benedict, crepe, and omelette—all delicious. It is a good value for what you get, and the service was fantastic.
Quick service, abundant food, very good quality. Great neighborhood restaurant.
Great restaurant! I’ve been there a few times. Service is always good. Food delicious! Good selection of dishes.
I tried it again after a prior negative experience and it was much better! Table was not as crowded, the server checked in regularly and hostess was much better than previous rude hostess. The food was very good, as it has always been. I am glad I tried to again as I had always enjoyed going there and am happy that I can continue to frequent this restaurant when I am in the neighborhood.
This is a great, not too stuffy wine bar that I go to whenever I'm up near Museum Mile. Great selection of food and appetizers that should please everyone.
the food was good, service really nice, able to have a conversation on a Sunday night
We had dinner at Bocado Cafe and enjoyed it very much. The food and service was great.
Convenient for 92Y. Food is fine but service is slow and our waiter was slower
Eclectic and interesting menu. We were there for brunch. Everything was almost perfect but the meals were a bit cold—it was a frigid day in NYC so I will toss that off to the weather as everything was freshly made and beautifully presented.
Enjoyed a dinner with a friend here, ambiance was lovely. Food was good, nothing spectacular but worth the price. Service was great. I’d go back!
