BOCA Ratings and Reviews
Boca is wonderful! I had the beef tenderloin and the gnocchi. It was fabulous! But, those two entrees are very rich. So I may not order them together next time. So aside from my not so great pairing choice, it was amazing and would give 10 stars if I could!
I simply can not say enough good things about our dinner last evening at Boca. I had booked it a week or two in advance and specified that it was our anniversary. We arrived to be seated immediately to an absolutely lovely private table on the second floor. overlooking the grand chandelier. From the first moment we arrived and gave our name we were greeted warmly and one of the hostesses went out of her way to wish us a Happy Anniversary. Imagine our surprise when she even followed up a bit later to be sure we were happy with our location. We told her we felt like rock stars! Kyle, our server, was the epitome of cordiality and warmth with highly effective service. We began with the Pommes Soufflée, moved on to the beet salad and Potato soup royale , had the Tajarin al Tartufo Nero as the prime and the Veriasso Salmon (tasting size thank goodness). Everything was perfect. The soup was exceptional....silky smooth with a complex blend of flavors. Our favorite course was the Tajarin....the musky truffle taste and the parmigiana ground so finely that it perfectly coated each and every noodle was to die for. What a lovely anniversary dinner. It is definitely one we shall not soon forget. Thank you BOCA!
What a fantastic restaurant! We celebrated Valentine’s Day a night early. We both felt it was the best overall meal either of us has had in our life. The food was simply unbelievable. Very unique, yet so simple and delicious. Kyle, our waiter, made the night unforgettable. His knowledge of the menu and food and explanation of everything was awesome. The other staff were constantly filling our water, cleaning and clearing the table. A true 5 star restaurant we will definitely come back to and enjoy. Please open a location in Indianapolis! Thank you BOCA for a great meal and experience!
The food was not as good as I had hoped especially considering the hype. It was definitely over-priced. Ambiance would have been better had we not been seated next to a serving station. The wine was good. The food is over seasoned (even the fennel on the bread was overdone. I prefer Sotto to Boca. It’s Cincinnati, so I doubt that they’ll change any of these issues. Why would they-they don’t have any competition.
Feel the food and drinks were highly overpriced and can get the same with similar ambiance at MANY other places in Cincinnati and surrounding area. Unfortunate as I was trying to make this special occasion for my wife and was just too expensive in the long run. Wont be back
T.J our waiter was the best. He made my birthday extra special. He was a big help when I had questions about the menu. He also, surprised me with a nonalcoholic drink that was delicious , it was definitely something I would have ordered. I will definitely request T.J when I go back. Boca knows how to make dining out an excellent experience!
My wife and I went to BOCA to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Our waiter, David Peterson was beyond amazing. In addition to being very personable, he was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, ingredients, etc....and he gave us a quick tour of the kitchen and the philosophy of the restaurant.
Our meal was excellent and if you go, ask to be seated in David Peterson's area!
Our Server was very kind, yet very slow. I mentioned fairly early we were going to see a show at the Aronoff at 9:30. We struggled to get beverages, and our food was taking entirely too long for us to be sitting there wondering if we would be out of there in time for the show. My dining companion waved a gentleman down who took care of expediting things; other than that it was wonderful.
Another spectacular meal at BOCA! We booked an early reservation in order to get to a 7 PM show at the Aronoff. Nicole, our server, has taken care of us many times. She is without question one of the best servers we have ever had anywhere and exemplifies the excellence that is BOCA. My wife is a vegan and without a specific request, they had prepared a delicious diet specific meal for her. I had the venison entree and ordered the beat salad, as the grilled romaine (my favorite) is not on the menu. Again, Nicole raises the bar for customer service and brought my salad of preference-the grilled romaine.
The remainder of the meal and service was spectacular. Thanks to BOCA and Nicole for another memorable evening. We look forward to returning.
We requested the tasting menu with wine pairings which our server, Kyle, was happy to do for us. He was very professional. I was surprised that he mentioned that he had been our waiter the last time we were in & had dined the same way. It was hard to say which course was our favorite because each one was fabulous! We were there on a Tuesday night; it was very low-key but so relaxing. We will try to get there before too much time passes this time.
