BOCA Ratings and Reviews
I dined there with two business partners who had never been to Boca before. They were in awe of the beauty of the restaurant as soon as we walked in. With a 5:30 reservation I was surprised at how bus the restaurant was already. It was a vibrant scene. You could see the staff going about their business with professionalism. We were sat by the kitchen so it was fun to watch the chefs at work. Jennifer was our server. She was fun and friendly and knew the menu inside and out and answered any questions we had. Every recommendation was on point, although I don't know how any dish here could go wrong, and we even got a little surprise from the Wine Director Lindsay and the the sous chef David which really made our meal over the top perfect. We opted to share our courses so we could try more things which turned out to be a great idea since we were having trouble making up our minds. The Pommes Soufflees were a perfect start to dinner, Italian Burrata and the Hericot Vert salad were both on point, the pasta course which consisted of the ragu di carne (aka Bolognese), lumache porcini and my always favorite the gnocchi fonduta were all out of this world. We finished dinner with the salmon, which is sustainable sourced (I appreciated that), the chicken with this ahhhhmazing mushroom and truffle risotto and the beef tenderloin Boca which were all cooked perfectly and had such wonderful flavors. My two guests can't wait to come back and are already putting a date night on their calendars. We all enjoyed a wonderful meal made all that much better by the hospitality from Jennifer, Lindsay and David who made us all feel like family.
Boca is the best restaurant in Cincinnati. The food is original in creation; it is served in a beautiful presentation and the taste is to die for.....every bite is a delight! The service is very attentive and friendly. The restaurant atmosphere is cozy, warm and comfortable.
This is the go-to restaurant in Cincinnati for a special occasion!
We had three courses, the first two the pommes souffles and the scallops with brussel sprouts were both very good. The third course which was the pasta with sausage was really bad, wish I just stopped at the first two courses. As a result of the bad pasta I don't think we will return to this restaurant.
My husband and I enjoyed our 11th anniversary dinner at Boca. Their pastas were absolutely brilliant - we tried the truffle pasta and one with house made sausage. Outstanding! The autumn soup was wonderful and the hazelnut garnish made the dish and we followed that with the scallop and Brussels sprouts. I had the sole for dinner and my husband had the venison. Both were perfectly prepared and amazingly tasty.
Our waiter offered to pair wine tastings with the courses and his choices were spot on and we were able to try wines we might not have chosen on our own. We will definitely return.
This was our first visit to Boca. Our daughter gave us a gift card, and we decided to use it for our anniversary dinner. We enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere was very nice, the service was amazing. Our food was delicious, and my salmon was prepared perfectly. We were even given a complimentary champagne toast for our anniversary. My husband has to watch sugar and caffeine, so they made him a special drink instead of champagne. It was a bit higher priced than our usual dining out places, but the experience was worth it.
This was our first dining experience at Boca and we will most certainly come back again! The ambiance was fantastic, the service was impeccable and the food was creative and delicious. The Beef Wellington was spot on (this coming from a true Brit!) and I found myself wanting more of the Autumn Squash Soup. It was amazing! The only slight disappointment was the minimal dessert offerings. The creme brûlée was a bit burnt and the cheesecake tasted more like flan. But the overall experience was fabulous!
Service was excellent. David, our waiter, was outstanding and knowledgeable. Could have worked in one the top restaurants in NYC or San Fran. The Pommes Soufflées, the Autumn Squash soup, and the Buckeye Candy Bar were definitely worth" blowing" the diet for!
We enjoyed a fantastic meal at Boca for our anniversary. We ordered something from each category so were able to try a lot of dishes. The food was outstanding and prepared with care and attention to detail. The waiter asked us before we ordered if there were any food allergies they should know about which was very thoughtful. Our server was very attentive but not obtrusive, just perfect. We will be back! Thank you!
As always, Boca delivered excellent service and food. The chef came out and talked for several minutes and he was very enthusiastic about the restaurant and his food. We had the duck for two and it was amazing. Perhaps the best single meal we've ever had! Boca remains my top restaurant.
The restaurant is beautifully appointed. Our waiter Jacob was professional yet friendly. He was able to answer all the questions we had about wine and the menu. We had a delicious meal at an appropriate pace, Wish it was closer so we could go on a regular basis.
