Boca Landing- Prime Seafood and Crafted Cocktails Ratings and Reviews
The waterside, exterior patio seating has fantastic views from the couches. The couches aren’t necessarily comfortable though for dining as you are sort of slouched back and not as close to the table as one might like. The food was just mediocre for the price. I would return maybe just for appetizers and salad as those items were much better than the entrees that my husband and I had (steak and scallops).
Disappointing dining experience from someone who has frequented Boca Landing since its opening years ago. Of two entrees, one was served close to cold (scallops), and they were also rubbery, tough. Ate half and pushed it aside. The salmon entree was quite good, let's give credit where deserved. Jumbo shrimp appetizer was nothing close to jumbo in size, and based on its pricing, not a dish to order again, despite its appealing presentation. Complimentary fish spread and home made chips were delicious. A totally unpressed wrinkled table cloth surely was a reflection of poor oversight in the restaurant.
Server was torn between outdoor patio and interior dining room, manager on dut, Heidi, was unresponsive to complaints. Truly disappointing, as its ambience is appealing, right on Boca Lake. Strongly recommend better oversight from management, and on-going need to address problems in kitchen with food sitting around and going cold. Wish I could be more positive, waited a few weeks to post review, hoping management would respond to my emailed concerns, and they failed to do so. Based on inconsistencies in dishes and lack of concern by hotel and restaurant management, I'd recommend another choice if you are seeking an outstanding dinner.
We were unfortunate to be there on a night that had three birthdays happening during our reservation, but despite the very loud noise, we still managed to have a very lovely meal. All of our food was delicious, and our waitress was incredibly professional, and took excellent care of us. My only complaint is that we couldn't sit outside, and that's only because it had recently rained. Everything was five stars except for the noise problem, which was an unusual circumstance according to our waitress. It was my first time, but certainly not my last. My only regret is that I cannot remember my waitresses name to recommend and thank her.
Went for husband's birthday dinner. Food was great, he got Grouper, I got scallops. Service was great! Our server was great, and even brought us a free appetizer and birthday cake!
The cocktails (2 of the 3) didn't seem up to par with the restaurant. My martini was like straight alcohol, the blue cheese olives were really bad, and the other, million dollar cocktail I ordered was really strong, but not in a good way. My husbands drink was decent.
Next time I'd just stick with wine.
Been coming here for years. Our server was great as was the food. But when we had an issue that needed the assistance of the manager I quickly discovered her to be extremely distasteful, rude, and personally insulting. Certainly put a damper on the evening.
This place is all about the view. The Sunday brunch food was disappointing. The pastries tasted dry old store bought. All the meat was also over cooked and extremely dry. Horrible prime rib was well done very tough and dry. They had nice shrimp cocktail but that was the only seafood (besides the dry over cooked salmon). The omelette bar had a nice chef but they did not offer anything else fresh cooked (no waffles, no pancakes, no French toast, no crepes). The only waffles they had were piled with fried chicken on top and soaked in grease. The servers were nice but slow. Beautiful location but I would never go back for the brunch. They did have a lovely saxophone player on Mothers Day, not sure if that is an everyday thing but nice touch.
Driven by this place a gazillion times wondering if the view would be worth the trip. Turns our its a nice, if not Hilton hotel quality, restaurant on a bay where you can eat inside or outside by the water. View ok, but definitely get there to enjoy sunset. The complementary fish dip and homemade potato chips might be worth the trip on its own. That said, our beet salad and salmon dishes were delicious. Nice drink list. We saw an amazing piece of choc cake exit the kitchen that would feed a large family! Great art in the hotel and restaurant. Valet parking for $5 makes it easy!
We ate inside because we thought it would be windy outside. The noise level was awful. The prices are high & the portions are tiny. I had the a fish dish which consisted of two small square of fish & a pureed cauliflower that was so fine that I thought it was a sauce. The menu said the other vegetable was spicy & when I asked the waiter about this he said it wasn't. It was $36.00 for 2 little squares of fish and a runny cauliflower. The other vegetable was so HOT it burned & I could not eat it. The service was slow & inattentive. I wanted to change the spicy vegetable but the waiter never came by to help with anything.
Loved see Edward the manager he is amazing at his job and extremely accommodating. He made the experience amazing. As the girlfriend of a chef the standards are high and they excelled. Even with the rain the ambience was gorgeous and I couldn't have had a better meal.
