Boca Chica was the first restaurant my 3 boys were great at. Thank you!
Good quality food in a pleasant atmosphere. A nice place to connect with friends.
Great food. Especially the sopa
It was less crowded this time around (bonus for parking). Staff was very helpful & friendly. Liked the Christmas décor. Not much wait time for meal. The room temp. was a bit chili, otherwise another pleasant experience. Thank you.
Boca Chica is the best. Whenever we want to feel taken care of, we head there.
Maybe it was only me, I felt like I could tell the tortilla chips tasted fresh. I knew then the meal served will not be frozen and reheated. I ordered a chicken enchilada and it came out promptly. The portion sizes were huge and tasted like it was prepared for me. The only knock is I wish the chicken was infused with some spice. Instead they relied on the salsa topping. Unfortunately, to do that, it would take another 30 minutes to prepare my food for marinating the chicken. That would mean they would have to prepare it in advance and no longer fresh. I'd rather take fresh food. Our waitress also was also attentive to our table even though she was assisting with a party of 20. The decor was pretty good too.
Been coming for at least 20 years. Best authentic Mexican food. I've tried many restaurants around Twin Cities, and always come back to Boca Chica's. Way back when, they used to make house Margharita from scratch. Now its premixed from the spout. Not nearly as good as I recall.
My favorite Twin City Mexican restaurant for many years. Haven't been back for a few years and it was "just like old times" ----- same ambiance, excellent unhurried service, terrific family recipes, and on and on! Took a friend for a special night and a new experience for her ( she loves Mexican food) ----- Perfect.
When we are in the Twin Cities to visit family we always try to include a visit to Boca Chica. We live in Seattle, but I am a native of San Antonio, TX and always look for good Mexican food when I travel. Boca Chica's menu includes much more than some of the standard, blah TexMex I have found at other restaurants in the area. This particular visit was Friday evening, the day after Thanksgiving. It was very busy and a bit noisier than usual, but not surprising for that day. Several large family groups were easily accommodated, while the two of us were also served in a timely manner.
I say, Viva Boca Chica!
Basic Mexican food. If you need a food fix this will satisfy you. I would go back if I was in the neighborhood but I would not make it a destination place.
