Love Bob’s, best steakhouse in the City!

Steaks were delicious, and so was my wedge salad. Service was on point as well. I highly recommend.

It was a slow night because it was sunday but the service was attentive and very nice. The food was tasty and came out in a timely manner

Love this place, however you must be prepared to bring at least $250 with you. My dinner for 2 cost me $240. I will definitely come back. Service was exceptional. Food was really good. Overall love it

The steak sandwich was awful. I ordered medium rare and it came medium rare. However, the meat was so tough that I couldn’t bite through it.

Very good to outstanding steakhouse. Both of us tried the bone-in ribeye, which was as good as it gets. The fried potatoes with green peppercorn sauce were sinful, and the blue cheese salad was the same. Would recommend. Note the website asks for business casual attire, but dressy casual is just fine.

Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt in keinsterweise. Steak sind qualitativ einfach zu teuer.

Have been meaning to try Bob's for some time now and glad I finally made it. Great location and ambiance, excellent steaks and cocktails. Wait staff were spot on, attentive but not pushy. Definitely will be back and highly recommend.

I have been working downtown for 30+ years, have had Steak in a number of great places, I think Bob’s is the best Steakhouse in the City.

Wonderful menu- exceptional service and absolutely delicious! Inside the gorgeous Omni Hotel, with a street view, this restaurant is a cut above. Everything we ordered was perfectly prepared, incredibly flavorful and well presented. Our service was impeccable and the experience is definitely worth your time & money. Onion rings, Caesar Salad, Steaks and the skillet and mashed potatoes were spectacular!

The food was horrible. I got a filet mignon that was $49. I was super dry and tough. I sent it back. The waitress was kind enough to offer a new steak, but I did not want to take my chances. Also the cream spinach was over cooked, we had to send that back as well. Overall, the waitress was kind and the restaurant itself was nice, but I will not return. The price for the quality of food is not worth it. It is better off to stick with The Palms or Mastros.

Very nice experience. The service is very gracious . George Siu was very pleasant and patient with us. We like to enjoy our wine and our meal.

We were a large group celebrating two birthdays. Food, wine and service were all excellent. The dining room was quiet enough to easily hear everyone at the table. It's expensive so definitely, for us, a special occasion venue but worth it.

Our waiter Francisco was the most outstanding waiter. He was kind, knowledgable, polite and funny. He made us feel like we were his only customers and his attention to detail was worth every penny we spent at our dinner.

Entered from Montgomery street and as such the fact that the restaurant is attached to a hotel is not evident. Greeted promptly and seated and although we asked to be moved to another table we were obliged without any objection whatsoever. The waitstaff immediately but professionally helped us with water , drinks, and wine. Cocktails a bit pricy but fair sized and good,
Food was fabulous! Appetizers/salad very well prepared and presented - and huge. Bread basket smelled divine served w huge pats if butter. Then came the steaks - served with sides ( no upcharge a rarity for steakhouses). Each steak was perfectly prepared and presented as if your rich uncle was serving you. Very Generous and delicious. As much as I loved the steak and accompanying sides I couldn't finish much more than 1/2 the steak indeed my wife could hardly finish 1/3 rd of hers. Much like our appitizers big portions but delicious. Steaks weren't necessarily cheap, no good steakhouse is, but we walked out last night feeling very satisfied knowing we had just had a very good night out. We would be back and recommend to others albeit letting others know sometimes pricy doesn't necessarily mean mean expensive.

We went there from my birthday they made arrangements to get Us in . Food was good crab cakes were really good . Salad portions are big . I would recommend to a friend .

Excellent service, food and ambiance! Definitely recommend!

The steaks we ordered were done perfectly. As were the sides. Service was prompt and gracious. The surprise complimentary slice of "birthday" cake was most generous and delicious. I'd recommend this place to anyone who likes a good steak and all that goes with that main item.

Pretty straight forward steak house. Bread was tasty and served warm. Wedge salad loaded with blue cheese. Large Baked potato, and 9 oz filet , and half the salad, filled me up. GF had ribeye with skillet potatoes. She really liked the potatoes, and ended up taking a part of the steak home.

Steaks were cooked as ordered. Busser was excellent. He not only cleared plates, but cleaned table of crumbs etc. He explained to me when taking my steak knife and fork after finishing the salad, that I needed clean ones, since the salad dressing had vinegar, and the residue of that on my silverware would affect the taste of the steak if I used them on it.

Comped a creme brulee dessert with a candle for GF's birthday.

With a reservation at 6, Bob's was not very busy. As the evening progressed, many more tables were filled. Wait staff were very friendly and attentive. Ambiance was just right and the food choices were good. Not too expansive of a menu. Everything we ordered came out nicely done

For a downtown San Francisco steakhouse, worth the trip

Very good service. Good food. Nice wine list. They service is very relaxing and nonintrusive.

Great for a business lunch. Food is high quality and a nice diversity. Soups, salads (with or without meat/fish added), great steaks and tasty desserts). Tables are spaced far enough apart so that you can have a conversation and not be forced to overhear your neighbors. The service is exactly what you want: attentive without being too attentive (bothersome). Plus, if you want there are some booths available if you want more personal space. A "go to" for a business lunch!

Having eaten here before I was a disappointed that the restaurant didn’t live up to my previous experiences. The restaurant appeared noisier and less formal than previously and the food whilst good wasn’t again up to what was expected. The steaks however were tasty but my partner was disappointed with the ribeye as it was 50% fat, accepting that marbling is part and parcel of ribeye this was wholly excessive and when this was explained to the waiter he simply looked at us!

My wife & I celebrated Valentine's Day 2017 at Bob's. We enjoyed cocktails before dinner and they were well made and delicious. The filet and included baked potato were wonderful. Service was friendly, attentive, and efficient. Overall, an outstanding dining experience.

Food was very good - appetizers, salads, entrees, and dessert. Service was inattentive — had to ask for a second cocktail when I even placed the empty glass on the edge of the table. Never was offered a wine list. Had to ask for bread. Food was delivered and we never saw anyone until they came to clear our plates. Dinning room was half empty so it wasn’t they were extremely busy. Usually leave a 25% tip and felt bad only leaving 15% but couldn’t justify even that. Don’t think we’ll be returning. Too many other good places to eat with outstanding service in San Francisco.

Superb meal and service. Classic steak and chop house offerings. We were a party of six adults and two little ones. Staff took great care of us.

Bob's is outstanding in so many ways. From a warm welcome from the hostess to the waiter who remembers past orders - Bob's is the best. All the staff is friendly and very attentive. I'm very much looking forward to my next visit.

The business lunch special is a deal. You can’t go wrong ordering it.

We went for the a birthday dinner for my wife. Food and service were top notch

Visited Bob's Steak and Chop House while in San Francisco over new year. Not the cheapest but the food quality and quantity was superb. Both my wife and I had the fillet steak which was cooked to perfection and we both agreed this was one of the best steaks we've ever tasted. The waiting staff were also superb.


If ever back in San Francisco again, we will definitely be coming back.

Wonderful evening , knowledgeable server and fabulous wine list . I would highly recommend. Great for lunch in their bar or dinner.
