Bob's Steak & Chop House - Nashville Ratings and Reviews
Took in a meal before the Predators game, and this was our third visit to Bob's. I did not remember it being this good, or maybe i just forgot. The steaks were amazing (9 and 12 ounce filets for me and my son, both medium/rare). Garlic mashed potatoes outstandingly creamy and tasty. Something weird but delicious about the large cooked carrot, sweet and delicate without being mushy. Caesar salads crisp and not drowned in dressing and had my white anchovies for an addition. My wife had the fried lobster, which was juicy and very flavorfully enhanced with the spices. I don't own stock and none of my family owns the restaurant, though it may sound that way. Price is the only obstacle for us to go there on a regular basis, but for a special occasion this has become a go-to spot.
Bob's Steakhouse is the best steakhouse in Nashville by far! Every time we are in Nashville we make a trip to Bob's for a great time. If you are in Nashville and are craving a steak go to Bob's and request Laura as your server. She cannot be beat! Also, Mr. Zachary Izzard the GM is a great guy also. He personally visited our table to thank us for the continued business. What a great gesture on his part! We leave Bob's every time feeling satisfied! So will you!
Ok. Where do I begin? Well to start off, my husband & I had been talking about going to Bob's for so long and this past week we finally got around to going. We loved the fact that even though the restaurant is downtown, they provided complimentary valet. It was my husband's birthday as well, so he picked Bob's to celebrate. The hostess & wait staff were nice-no complaints there. His name on the top of the menu was a nice touch too. But the food....very over rated & sub par. Honestly, it was a huge let down. Our appetizer was scallops. They were ok. For our entrees, I ordered a ribeye steak & my husband had the salmon. Portions are plentiful, which of course they should be for $50/person. My ribeye had a bad after taste from the burnt char on it. I should have sent it back, but it was about 9:30pm so I figured the kitchen staff were trying to clean up so they could leave as for the reason that my steak was over cooked. My husband's salmon was ok. He said he's had better. Sides were ok. But back to my steak! Burnt! And with this being a so called "upscale steak restaurant"! ☹ So disappointed! $140 ticket! Not worth it.
Bob's never ceases to impress! This was a business meal with key clients and I needed to make an impression with great food and drink to discuss some key business projects. The cocktails are perfect - creative and generous. The steaks were all cooked to perfection and that lobster mac is to die for! All in all a perfect venue to relax and talk work. Cannot wait to bring my wife here for a great relaxing night out. The best steak in town and I always look forward to returning!
Our dinner at Bob's Steak and Chop House was one of our best steakhouse meals EVER. Service and the wine list were both outstanding. Our party of 3 had three different entrees. There was actually a 16 oz filet which is unusually large for a filet, but suited our 18 year old son who is always hungry very well. I had the rack of lamb which was cooked perfectly and delicious and my husband had the rib eye. Each of us thought the meat was among the best meals we have had. The extensive wine list was wonderful and we enjoyed a great bottle. We thought prices were reasonable for such quality in that the steaks included a side dish, which not all steakhouses provide. All in all an outstanding meal.
From the minute we walked in the door on New Years Eve, we were impressed. The staff was immediately attentive and we were seated quickly. Our waitress, Connie, was outstanding and the wait staff was entirely on que - they took care of anything we wanted or needed before we could even ask! The steaks were awesome and the crab cakes as well - all the food was prepared to perfection. Another thing that impressed me was that we were not rushed to turn the table, even on a busy busy evening. All I can say is they made a fun weekend for these out of towers great! Thank you so much!
A little underwhelming, Shrimp Scampi served luke warm, pork chop overcooked (butter fried w/o being told), table was in a somewhat isolated area of the resturant, told us all other tables were taken even though several remained empty while we ate. Will definitely try other steakhouses in town before we go back. A bit overpriced. Service was good.
Connie was our server, and she was fabulous from START TO FINISH. Bob's has a very high end atmosphere, yet it manages to stay cozy and warm. There is nothing pretentious about it. Quality was top notch, service was kind and attentive. I will definitely be going back soon, and often!
This was probably the 6th year in a row our family has come to Bob’s for my dad’s birthday, and every year it’s great. This year however it fell short of our expectations. The food is normally full of flavor and extremely well made, but this time it was just missing something. The lobster Mac and cheese wasn’t very moist, the steaks weren’t as tendor as the normally are, and Looked to be randomly cut from a larger steak. The lobster that came with our steak was also dry and lacking in flavor. Honestly the best part of the meal was the bread that came before the meal. Always a meal and occasion we look forward might have to rethink before we come back.
This was our second time dining at Bob’s and it was amazing again! Our server was a true pleasure. I can’t say enough about the food! My husband’s filet was melt-in-your-mouth great. My lobster bisque was the best I’ve ever had. We will be back each time we visit Nashville!!
Immediately realized we probably come to the wrong place for a romantic dinner Extremely Loud tables surrounded us. The waiter was very nice and knowledgeable but the service was extremely slow. We were going to dine at a very leisurely Pace celebrating my fiance's birthday we were in no hurry but even with that in mind the service was incredibly slow the food tasted pretty good but for the price I would much more recommend the palm
