Bob's Steak & Chop House - Nashville Ratings and Reviews
I found it to be a good but not great high end restaurant . The pickles and carrot was an unusual twist . The carrot cake was exceptional . The wine was drastically overpriced . I am afraid to say I paid $20 for a glass of wine that would cost $12 at a comparable steak house .
Excellent meal from start to finish. The steaks were flavorful, salads tasty and the Mac n cheese was outstanding. Every bite was delicious. Clayton was our server and was attentive to all our needs and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Couldn’t have asked for a better meal or service. If you go this month be sure and get the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake. I think it was one of the best endings to a meal I have had anywhere.
We celebrated our 35th Wedding Anniversary. They printed our names and our anniversary number onto the menu (that we got to take home) and brought us a special dessert! The attention to detail is beyond anything we've experienced before. The rack of lamb that I ordered melted in my mouth. THANK YOU for making our celebration even more special!
We booked the table for our daughters 26 birthday. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. One of the most special was having "Happy 26th birthday Devin" on top of all four menus that we took home with us. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We will be back!!
Wonderful service. I wish I could remember his name but he was very tall and attentive. I would always ask for him when in town. He recommended a lovely lobster presentation that went great with a wine he suggested. A lovely night . Great food and better than great service. Well done!
Service was poor. We went on a weekday night and it took almost an hour to get 2 steaks medium. No word from our server about why it was taking so long. At the end of the meal he asked if we had a "peanut allergy" and we said no....then he brought us our check and we left. Still don't know what that was about? Food was delicious as always though.
Service was great. However, my boyfriend ordered a New York Strip and it was so tough and had no flavor. Not good for a steakhouse. They reduces the price by half and he ended up eating most of my filet mignon which as excellent and was too much food for me anyway. The server was amazing and did everything she could to make the situation better. The atmosphere was very nice, wine list great, just don't order the New York Strip Steak. With all the places to go in Nashville, we probably would choose another restaurant over Bobs.
Marvelous dining experience! The little things can make a big difference and this was the case at Bob's. The waiter brought us homemade pickles to begin our experience and explained why. Each of us had steak but all were different cuts and all cooked just as ordered. By the way the steaks are great - I had to sample everyone's. With the entrees they were served (if you wanted) potatoes and carrots. Nice not to have to purchase sides with your entree, and at first I wasn't sure about carrots with my steak - not now though it was an excellent pairing.
This was the best filet my husband & I have ever had (even better than at Jeff Ruby’s)! It was just to die for! It comes with a carrot & your choice of potato. Did not like the carrot at all so next time I will ask for it not to be on my plate and I got pan fried potatoes with gravy & my husband had a baked potato. We both liked the pan fried potatoes the most. We also ordered a side of Brussel sprouts - they were very good. The drinks were great. We also ordered an appetizer (scallops with smoked pork and ale grits - didn’t like the grits but scallops were excellent) and shared a wedge salad, which was very, very good. A word of caution: their dessert portions are huge! I got a special (apple crisp with cranberry ice cream - we both enjoyed it a lot!) and my husband ordered the carrot cake. You get a wedge large enough to feed three people! It was good but we had eaten better carrot cakes (our favorites are StoneFire Grill carrot cake - a small chain in Southern California; and a carrot cake cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory). We ended up eating the apple crisp & took the carrot cake home. Their servings of the key lime pie and pecan pie are literally a quarter of a pie! Our server was great too! Thank y’all for a wonderful experience! We will be back!
It was a last minute decision to go to bobs. The hostess gave me a better reservation time. Our waitress Jaime was the best we ever had. She was funny, polite and very knowledgeable on the food the restaurant had. When we received our food it was cooked perfect n more then enough. Although food came out on the cool side it was delicious. Me and my wife would surely recommend to any of our friends. Thanks for a fulfilling dinner n great time.
