We have tried a number of steak houses, but have never got around to trying Bob's. I guess the stars were aligned, we finally got a date night, were in Fort Worth after visiting the Stock Yards and were looking for a good steak dinner. I had the filet and my wife had the seafood special. All was cooked very well and service was great.
When we were seated at the table there was a jar of half sour pickles that were absolutely delicious. We didn’t know if they were to eat or decoration, but that didn’t stop us from digging in. Excellent steak, delicious baked potato, giant cooked carrot, Brussels sprouts with Nueske bacon, fresh salads are what you can expect from Bob’s Steak and Chop House. The food was amazing which made up for the somewhat slow but attentive service.
There place is well appointed with a lively atmosphere and a happening bar area.
Truthfully, don’t know what more you can ask for in a restaurant. Bob’s definitely delivers when it comes to food, atmosphere and service. If you haven’t been, give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. A little on the pricey side, but what high-end steakhouse isn’t.
We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation time. The restaurant was only half full and the hostess said if they can seat us early they will. So we went to the bar to wait. The bar tender took our drink order and gave us our drinks but when they were empty he never asked us if we wanted a refill and we were sitting right in front of him at the bar. When our reservation time came and passed we went to the hostess and asked when we would be seated and she then said we can seat you now. They took us to a table that had been open since we arrived 30 minutes earlier. The waitress put a container of veggies on our table, took the lid off the jar but never did tell us what they were for. After we received our appetizers she took the veggie container away. We listened to a waiter talk to the table next to us and found out that the veggies were for us to eat but she never left any type of tongs to get the veggies out of the container. So we missed out on that. Then the waiter did not tell us about any chef specials that were going on that night. We had to hear this from the waiter at the table next to us after we already ordered our entrees. The steak was way over cooked, not cook at all like our waiter said it would be. There are many other upscale restaurants in Fort Worth and we will not be going back to this one nor recommend it.
I love Bob's Steak & Chop house and we had a very nice evening. With that being said... It was our anniversary. I was asked upon making the reservations. I would have expected a desert or something to make note of the event.
Excellent! Service, ambiance and food were impeccable!
Everything was great food was amazing as always, good time with friends
Filet Mignon was perfect. Glad I chose to make reservations and enjoy and evening with my business partners.
We had the aged bone in steak. First time for this and the taste was there. The aging was excellent and really brought out the taste! The carrot was fabulous and can't wait to come back for something else!! Great food! Thanks Craig
Excellent service and dinner was wonderful!
Great food, great wait staff. Overall an excellent experience.
great food and a successful first date .
I will be back
Great food and service made this a great spot for date night!!!!
It was birthday, so my son and I had dinner. We had a great meal and thank you for the complimentary salads, as we did not eat dessert. I felt honor by your gesture. It is not everyday that I turn 73 years old. Thank you. Barbara Goodman
This restaurant lived up to the hype. All the food was great and the service was spot on without being intrusive. We enjoyed our visit.
The food was amazing as always. We were with two other couples celebrating Valentines Day. We will certainly be back :)
It was good. I had the New York Strip. I ordered it medium, it came medium well. Server did not tell me the specials and my wife never got her coke. Armaretta Cheesecake saved the day.
I've been here 3 times now and all three times my steak has been overcooked. I ordered a filet medium, which was described as pink throughout with a ruby red center. My steak had no pink in it. The steak was completely brown throughout. The Bob's in Grapevine and Dallas I have been to numerous times and the food has been cooked perfectly each time. I am not sure why the Fort Worth location struggles to cook a steak properly. If you want the real Bob's experience, head to Grapevine or Dallas.
I've eaten at Bobs MANY times and always had good food and service! Our waitress was SOOO bad this time it was pathetic!!
Excellent food and outstanding service! Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was served cooked to our perfection. Dessert absolutely divine! Atmosphere is romantic, yet perfect for doing business as well. Pricey, but worth the money.
Delicious rib eye. Cooked perfectly. And seasoned with just a simple salt and pepper. Thought it would be over cooked bc it was a tad thin but was cooked to a perfect med rare. To my extreme surprise the shrimp scampi was almost (almost) better than the rib eye. I’m a huge meat eater and would def order the shrimp dish next time. Really delicious.
On an anniversary date, great atmosphere, starting with blue cheese martinis, and the wedge salad were amazing for starters. Filet Mignon was tender with a great flavor, potatoes with onions and gravy were different in a good way, huge carrot was delish. The Santa Barbara Merlot was just right. Champagne was wonderful to top our dinner! We even brought Carrot Cake home for later.
Only negative was sitting a foot or so from the neighboring table, we were festive and they were very serious. We'll do it again!~
Bob's is by far the best steak restaurant in the country. The service there is impeccable and they treat you like you are part of their family. Always get the Cote, you won't be disappointed.
My friends/coworkers and I were in Fort Worth on business and wanted to have steak night on our day off and chose Bob's Chop and Steakhouse. Had read great reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp. The food was delicious and the service and ambiance were superb. Great steak!
Valentine’s Day dinner with friends.
The food and service both were over the top. We will definitely be back, just not on Valentines Day. The two couples at the next table were loud and obnoxious. It was definitely amateur night. They sure could use a little etiquette training.
When our steaks arrived , the amateurs were leaving. The rest of our dinner was just fabulous. I can't speak highly enough about the manager and wait staff
We will be back for a dinner before the theater or concert for sure.
The food was good, service was ok not a very attentive wait staff but the manager was nice since it was so loud we could not hear each other he let us move to sit next to each other
Excellent food & environment! We Will definitely be back!
We received great service, the food was very good, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.
Great ambience, stellar service, delicious food (too much, had to take some home), will return.
The steak was very flavorful but was much tougher than I expected a ribeye at this type of restaurant to be. I'm use to melt in your mouth for the price.
Love going here for all occasions. We do birthdays, anniversary, valentines and just because days!
great service great food prime everything
Bob's is a great dining experience. At this level your expectations should be high, and Bob's doesn't disappoint. The restaurant was at maybe 70-80% capacity, and was impressively quiet- a nice bonus! Servers were attentive and professional. My medium rare bone-in Ribeye was absolutely perfectly prepared and served- awesome flavor, and so tender and juicy,- I could cut it with a fork. Bob's signature glazed carrot is always wonderful. The bread they serve the table is delicious. And for a bonus, the BEST Creme Brulee I've had in a long time- maybe ever- Can't wait to go again!
Bobs Steak and Chop House has always had great food BUT they have become quite "full of themselves" regarding their prices.
Everything was wonderful! From the service to the food and wine. Definitely some place we’ll go again!!
First time dining here.It was an awesome experience. Excellent service food was Great. Drinks where on point.!!!
Always have a great dinner at Bob's. Our server was Christian, he did an awesome job. It was my birthday dinner celebration. My husband ask where I wanted to have dinner. Bob's of course. Hope to come back In a few weeks to celebrate birthdays with some friends.
Bob’s is a fantastic place to dine for any occasion. The steaks are out of this world tender and just melt in your mouth. The signature glazed carrot is so delicious! As always, the service was impeccable! Ask for Ryan when you go and you will not be disappointed. He has a natural ease in dealing with the diners and his recommendations are always great. He is the MAN!
It was our 25th Anniversary and they gave us a great dessert and two glasses of champagne to celebrate!
Bob’s is most definitely our “go-to” place.
To me, Bob's Steakhouse on Lemmon Ave. in Dallas is the "original" Bob's since I was raised in Dallas. No one ever feels like there is anything but "the original", BUT Bob's in Fort Worth is there--everything you get from Bob's on Lemmon Avenue without the drive to Big D. A great steak, perfectly cooked, and excellent service. Even on a weekend when the restaurant was filled with Stock Show and Cheer Competition fans (it was jam-packed), we got right in for our reservation and received excellent service. When the manager stops by (Jordan Dickey) on a busy night like that, you know they are doing something right...a lot right in this case.
