Bob's Steak and Chop House - Fort Worth Ratings and Reviews
While the steaks were excellent, the halibut was over-salted and the service was rigid and not customer friendly. The special came with potatoes but since my wife is on a low-carb diet, she requested a broccoli, which was listed on the menu, substitute. She was told the restaurant had a no-substitution policy and her request was denied. When the fish on the surf & turf special turned out to be over salted, the fish was removed, no adjustment was made to the price, but as compensation for our unhappiness, an unrequested and unwanted dessert (remember, which the restaurant obviously didn’t, we are on a low-carb diet) was provided for free! Not really a customer friendly establishment! You’ve been warned, proceed with caution!
It was fantastic! I had heard of Bob's but never dined there before. It is pricey but we knew that going in. That being said it was delicious! Wine list was perfect. My steak was cooked perfectly! The carrot was even delicious! How do you make a carrot taste so good?!?! Would def go again!
Fantastic dining experience, and I eat out at various steak house practically everyday.
Well manured, knowledgeable, and accommodating wait staff. We stayed about an hour past closing time.
There is no need to debate if you should eat here. Put this spot on your bucket list.
I love Bob’s steak and chop. We visit frequently and are never disappointed. It’s one of those meals that you wish would never end! So delicious no matter which items you pick. Atmosphere is perfect it has just enough volume and lighting . Table setting is pretty and seats are comfy! Drinks are amazing as well. We highly recommend Bob’s!
We celebrated our anniversary at Bob's. The place was booked but we still received service as if we were the only couple in the restaurant. The table choice was off to the side so we had a bit of privacy. Our wait staff was most attentive, and the GM brought out a dessert that was incredible.
So, right up front, let me say that Bob's performed up to the standards that we have expected from them over the years. This trip, though, we decided that we'd like to enjoy an "adult" beverage, so we enlisted Lyft to get us to and from their location. I was disappointed that a place with such a full bar was not able to create a strawberry daiquiri for me. Then, upon ordering my fallback, a mojito, I was told that the best they could do was to make it with a mint-infused simple syrup, and not the proper mint leaves muddled with abrasive sugar. Well, it tasted fairly good, but I just thought that for such a high-dollar place, with such great ambience for special occasions, that their bar would fall so short of that high bar.
Absolutely loved our dining experience at Bob's Steak and Chop House. The atmosphere is elegant and the service was excellent. The food is pricey , but wonderful. I would recommend this beautiful restaurant for special occasions, or for a celebratory night out!
Our server Jill was absolutely fantastic; knowledgeable and energetic. She made sure everything we could possibly need was taken care of. You should definitely ask for Jill. Jordan, the GM, was personable and appreciative. This is one of the better Bob’s experiences I’ve had across the country!
This is our first visit after a new chef has apparently taken the help at Bob's.
1) Our favorite Lobster Bisque anywhere, has been destroyed. We don't care if the former bisque had seafood stock, the new one is nowhere near comparison. Ruined.
2) Our carrots had a lot of cardamom on them; my wife didn't like it, I did.
3) My prime bone-in ribeye had a LOT of inedible gristle/fat. The flavor was OK. My wife's filet was under cooked, and how! She asked for medium-well, and there was blood on her plate. I had medium rare, was more like medium to medium well. One thing that Bob's had always had problems with, it getting the steaks cooked properly.
4) For some reason, the staff chose to sit a couple right behind us, despite MANY open tables/booths. The couple even chose to sit with their backs to our backs, and the female had an ungodly amount of perfume on. We switched sides on our booth, but no luck, our eyes watered, noses ran, it ruined the evening. I went to the men's room, and I could smell her perfume from 3 tables away. I never did understand why, in an upscale restaurant, the staff insists on seating people together when there are so many open tables. In this case, we almost left before even ordering our main courses; in retrospect, we should have left.
We won't be returning any time soon.
