Bob's Steak and Chop House - Fort Worth Ratings and Reviews
I love Bob’s steak and chop. We visit frequently and are never disappointed. It’s one of those meals that you wish would never end! So delicious no matter which items you pick. Atmosphere is perfect it has just enough volume and lighting . Table setting is pretty and seats are comfy! Drinks are amazing as well. We highly recommend Bob’s!
So, right up front, let me say that Bob's performed up to the standards that we have expected from them over the years. This trip, though, we decided that we'd like to enjoy an "adult" beverage, so we enlisted Lyft to get us to and from their location. I was disappointed that a place with such a full bar was not able to create a strawberry daiquiri for me. Then, upon ordering my fallback, a mojito, I was told that the best they could do was to make it with a mint-infused simple syrup, and not the proper mint leaves muddled with abrasive sugar. Well, it tasted fairly good, but I just thought that for such a high-dollar place, with such great ambience for special occasions, that their bar would fall so short of that high bar.
Absolutely loved our dining experience at Bob's Steak and Chop House. The atmosphere is elegant and the service was excellent. The food is pricey , but wonderful. I would recommend this beautiful restaurant for special occasions, or for a celebratory night out!
Our server Jill was absolutely fantastic; knowledgeable and energetic. She made sure everything we could possibly need was taken care of. You should definitely ask for Jill. Jordan, the GM, was personable and appreciative. This is one of the better Bob’s experiences I’ve had across the country!
This is our first visit after a new chef has apparently taken the help at Bob's.
1) Our favorite Lobster Bisque anywhere, has been destroyed. We don't care if the former bisque had seafood stock, the new one is nowhere near comparison. Ruined.
2) Our carrots had a lot of cardamom on them; my wife didn't like it, I did.
3) My prime bone-in ribeye had a LOT of inedible gristle/fat. The flavor was OK. My wife's filet was under cooked, and how! She asked for medium-well, and there was blood on her plate. I had medium rare, was more like medium to medium well. One thing that Bob's had always had problems with, it getting the steaks cooked properly.
4) For some reason, the staff chose to sit a couple right behind us, despite MANY open tables/booths. The couple even chose to sit with their backs to our backs, and the female had an ungodly amount of perfume on. We switched sides on our booth, but no luck, our eyes watered, noses ran, it ruined the evening. I went to the men's room, and I could smell her perfume from 3 tables away. I never did understand why, in an upscale restaurant, the staff insists on seating people together when there are so many open tables. In this case, we almost left before even ordering our main courses; in retrospect, we should have left.
We won't be returning any time soon.
Thus was the second time I ate here this week. The first time the service was very good but this time it was quite inattentive. Both times, the food was over-salted and no better than you would get in a restaurant at half the price (or less ). I had the prime ribeye one night and the pork chop this night. But the restaurant looks great and is in a very nice hotel.
Had a fabulous meal with our server Ryan. He was absolutely wonderful in detailing the menu and making wine selections. The steak was cooked perfectly and the glazed carrot was fabulous. Loved the pickles at the table! Reminds me of the ones we make in our family. Couldn't have asked for a better evening or a better server.
We love Bob's in Dallas and hoped to enjoy a nice family dinner during TCU Parents Weekend in Ft. Worth. The location inside the Omni hotel was ideal as we stayed there. Unfortunately, the service was so poor that I cannot recommend it nor will we be back. There was an event going on in a neighboring ballroom that seemed to take all of our waiter's attention. Two of our three steaks arrived undercooked so we sent them back. After an extended wait, the manager returned the plates with not much of an apology. The service flowed so poorly that we were anxious to leave and did not even order the dessert that we had eagerly anticipated earlier in the day. A disappointing visit to be sure.
Have eaten at other Bob's locations and never been disappointed. We had a gift card for the Fort Worth location and even though it was a long drive, they made it worth it. The service was as attentive as other locations and the food is consistent from location to location. What made this location the best was the lack of noise. They were crowded but the noise levels were so that we could here each other talk without shouting. Thumbs up to Bobs!
Even though with the loss of our Favorite Chef the food was excellent. Adam is doing a great job! Service was great, Paige did a fabulous job. The Valet Jeff and helper are the best around , kudos to them, they always make us feel welcomed. The drinks that Mac prepares are excellent.
We thoroughly enjoy going to Bob's for any occasion.
