I'm always happy here. BBQ is good and open table makes going here even more convenient than before
It's been a while since we were at Bobby's and we were so happy that we went. We sat downstairs and listened to the music that was live in the upstairs bar and had the most delicious dinner!!!! Coconut shrimp that was excellent, calamari, salmon, etc.....Can't wait to go back.
From the moment you walk in the door till the time you have desert and leave it's a pleasant experience.
We tried this for Mother's Day Brunch and were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent -- pancakes, Medieterranean wrap, and Eggs Benedict. The service was very attentive. We were early ~ 10:00 am so not much of a crowd yet.
Overall -- excellent experience!
We had a party of 5 and were seated promptly at 7am. Service was a bit slow but I think the waiter may have been giving us time to chat and review the menu. My seafood linguini in spicy marinara was okay but nothing to write home about - a bit skimpy on the seafood. My partner's salmon Oscar was not up to her standards and she was disappointed. we were seated on the first floor so the music from the second floor was tolerable and actually created a nice ambiance. I actually wish the food would have knocked me out because otherwise I would probably be returning.
My girlfriend went out for a Sunday night romantic dinner. For such a nice looking place, the service was mediocre at best. We were nearly the only ones there and the service took a considerable amount of time. The waiter was stoic and was barely friendly. We were both disappointed with the food.
Lobster was the best I've had west of the east coast!
Went for brunch, only offered a breakfast menu. The food was good, but I wanted a large buffet type brunch. My problem for not looking at what was offered before arrival. Good restaurant
Good choice for a dinner when you find yourself in this area.. Recommend highly
Each year that we visit Scottsdale, Bobbys is on our must list for eating at. Delicious food, excellent service and beautiful ambiance.
Looking forward to our next visit!
Great food, great service. A little overpriced but I'd come back for a special occasion.
Really enjoyed our dinner at Bobbys. Had a knowledgeable waiter who suggested a very good modest priced wine. All the entrees were prepared perfectly. Not the cheapest place in town but worth it.
This has been one of my favorite places since it opened. Service is always good and the food is always cooked to perfection. Its a great date place with live music. The bartender who has been there from the beginning, makes great cocktails.
Very enjoyable evening, Both food and service were excellent
This was our second time dining since November 2014. The food is fabulous! The staff are attentive. Our server was Jason, and he was very good. The manager there is great about touching tables. We never feel rushed. We were disappointed only in that, when we set up the reservation on OpenTable.com, we made specific note that it was our anniversary, as this place historically will acknowledge such things, but no one said a word. As it turns out, the hostess failed to correctly check us into their system, even though she found us on the reservation system. Nonetheless, we will return in the future, as the food is wonderful!
Extremely disappointed! Service was absolutely terrible. Good service means so, so much and the night just got worse and worse with this restaurant. The absolute basics of good service were not there and the food was marginal. We waited an hour between appetizers and dinner...and the place was empty. Do not order steak...keep to pasta if making this your restaurant of choice.
I visited Bobby's on New Year's Eve. The waiter kept coming back to the table every 2 minutes for us to order. He was rushing us felt like he wanted to get us out as soon as possilbe. He didn't give us adequate time to eat our appetizer. The shrimp cocktail was pathetic. Very poor presentation shrimp were very small. A very poor presentation compared to Ocean Club. The main course, the fish was fine, however the side dishes were 3 aspergus and no more than 2 tablespoons of rice. Came away hungry.
Will not visit restaurant again nor will we recommend it to friends or family.
Friendly greeting at the door, followed by comfortable seating, excellent service, a really interesting menu and outstanding food. Great atmosphere and really good, non-intrusive music.
Bobby's is the kind of restaurant you can go to every day if you want. The menu is varied in food choices and prices. The drinks are great (I recommend the expresso martini...delish), the paella comes in a regular or vegetarian version, and is really good.
Bartender was friendly, live piano music was great. Restaurant was empty as it is holiday season during the week. Nice to have very attentive service. Food was excellent. I had seafood pasta and my fiancé had a meat dish. We stopped at bar first for happy hour and appetizer. Appetizer was mussels diablo and they were wonderful. Pei the bartender was very friendly and helpful.
Great place for a business meeting, very good food, service and prices. Veal piccata cut with fork tender, will be back soon.
Was not impressed as the place seemed nice but too noisy which were not warned about when we booked on line- private function upstairs was way too noisy which disturbed the patrons on main level - so we left
Food was excellent. We sat outside which was delightful. But the restaurant was virtually empty on that Saturday night which makes one wonder what's going on.
There is something for everyone on this menu. Shrimp & Scallop Scampi cooked perfectly and flavorful. Linguini that was served with the dish was delicately sauced as opposed to the drowning so many other restaurants impart to pasta dishes. Service was terrific. Server seemed to anticipate our need. Prices a little high but appropriate for the area I suppose. Would recommend to others and go there again myself when visiting the area.
I recommend the upstairs lounge for dinner and music as long as there is not a large group of people celebrating a birthday. The management should not have recommended the upstairs lounge for dinner since they knew there was going to be a loud party of about 30 people
The dinner at Bobby's was very enjoyable. We did have to "manage" being served too quickly by ordering each course separately. Once done, the pace was fine. We had a variety of appetizers and main courses, two dishes, (fish) were superb. The two women had the veal chop. While prepared as ordered, both veal chops were way too fatty. They should have been returned to the kitchen but the ladies did not do so. For the price of the each chop $39. it was truly disappointing.
The cinnabon dessert was a nice ending to the dinner. The atmosphere was fine, we were able to converse with our screaming over the music. Dinner was on the very pricey side if you order appetizers, main courses and drinks. We will go back but certainly avoid the veal.
This was our first time there. The food was very good and the server attentive. However, I stated when I made the reservation that we were celebrating my husbands birthday, and also mentioned it when the server came to our table. We watched them bring little birthday cakes to other tables, as well as the entertainer even singing Happy Birthday to them, but nothing was done for my husband. The server didn't even say Happy Birthday. Even though everything else was good, I would hesitate to go back because of this.
Although officially Italian cuisine, the menu offers much variety. They are also able to accommodate gluten allergies.
We sat at the bar and ordered food and drinks. Price pf drinks probably the highest in Scottsdale. Makers Mark Bourbon is $9 for a single ... That's bad enough. Grey Goose is $12 for a single.
Very good and quiet downstairs. Music upstairs did not get too loud to bother lower diners. Music sounded vey nice. It was a mixture of all kinds if music. I would like to return and try the happy hour. I was told that the happy hour was very niceness went with another couple who had been there before. It definitely was as good as they said
Great food and excellent service. We ate here a few years ago and enjoyed our food just as much this time as last. Wonderful ambience and especially on Friday night, as they had a rally good person singing in the bar. We will definitely go back again.
This was a perfect little spot to take my parents for their anniversary dinner. We especially enjoyed the musician upstairs- he was a delight. the food was fine, we enjoyed everything.
I have enjoyed Bobby's happy hour before and thought I might try it for dinner. As we approached the door, we were greeted by a sign declaring that there was a private party in the lounge. We didn't think much of it until we walked through the door. The open space design of the restaurant magnified the noise coming from the upstairs bar. When we were seated, we could not carry on a conversation even though we were sitting side by side. The noise completely ruined any chance of a nice dinner so we decided to leave and walked to PF Chang's. We were greeted immediately and had a lovely dinner there. Too bad they are not on Open Table. They truly deserve rave reviews. Bobby's needs to re-think their priorities. Very disappointing.
Best BBQ in Phoenix!! Especially the brisket and pulled pork!! Not to mention the cornbread!! A must, but try to have reservations.
Great dining and service. Beautiful room and entertainment. Always a great experience.
Bad decision. Food was only mediocre, the veal chop was about as thick as a breakfast pork chop. But the sad part was the wine. They served two glasses of wine that was from bottles that had been open for a very long time and were quite oxidized which we sent back and asked for servings from from a fresh bottle which they did. When a second glass was ordered they served it from the oxidized bottle---really, did they think we would not notice? We will not be going back.
Service was very good. Food was fine, nothing exceptional but everyone enjoyed their meals; no one raved about them.
The food was pretty good. However, our group was expecting a jazz brunch, and I was informed only the day before that there isn't live jazz during brunch in the summer. I mentioned jazz brunch when I made reservations, and wasn't told at that time.
Great find, food was very good, filet was as good as I have had, lasagna was very taste nice marinara sauce, décor is modern with a nice lounge.
A must try.
Use to go to the Mancuso's at the Borgata years ago, same family, food was like I remembered it in the past very good, Osso Buco was great / staff was friendly and attentive. Will be back to check out happy hour and live music.
