We always have a wonderful experience at Bobby's, whether for dinner or lunch.
One of our all time favorites
Wish they would come up with better side dishes. Mashed potatoes are horrible. Would like to see white rice, baked potato, not everyone wants vegetables or quinoa as a side dish.
My friend and I both had the same thing for dinner. A delicious Caesar Salad and one of our favorites - Chicken Vesuvio. My friend and I both agreed it was by far the BEST Chicken Vesuvio we've ever had! A nice glass of Crossbarn Chardonnay and a delicious slice of Keylime Pie. We will be back for sure!
My wife had her favorite eggplant parmigiana and loved it, again! Chicken vesuvio was above average and Tuscan Spaghetti not quite as good as the first time I ordered it. Great choice of salads; we enjoyed the rainbow chopped very much!! We'll be back!
Enjoyed a business lunch here recently. Staff were prompt, attentive and informative. Had the steak salad special, which was nicely lightened up with tomatoes, beans, onion and cucumbers. Would go back!
Our waitress was terrific . I ordered a martini & it was almost an inch short poured from rim . Any good restaurant provides a full pour. When you pay $175 for two people , it’s irritating when the restaurant short changes you.
Consistently good food and value. Most consistent restaurant I have ever frequented.
This was our second visit to Bobby's and my husband asked me to scratch it off our list of restaurants after we left. We did not get a booth, as I had requested, but I was willing to overlook that. The food was fine, but we both thought it was overpriced. My husband was especially unhappy with his specialty drink, the Bobby Special. He likes Old Fashioneds, and the drink was well-mixed, but the problem was the enormous specialty ice cube they pour it over. When he removed the ice cube from the small glass, the glass was about 1/3 full. It was definitely not worth the $12++ price tag. Our service was fine, not exceptional, but I will say I was grateful to our waiter who gave me the heads-up that the Chilean Sea Bass special (which I was seriously considering) was $45 -- too much for a piece of fish, as far as I'm concerned. The bread they put on the table was good, but a bit dry. They serve it with roasted garlic (yum!) but no butter or oil. They did bring me olive oil when I requested it. Overall, we felt the experience was overpriced.
Calamari excellent. Chopped salad with salmon was wonderful and generous portions of everything. Cocktail menu/wine/whiskey selection great. Waiter helpful and pleasant.
I love going to this restaurant, it's Best burger in town! There is always a lively bar scene, plenty of TV screens and it's great people watching!
Friendly and professional staff. Above average food and service. The experience is a little pricey, but you will not be disappointed.
Great food, bar and service.
Nice place, a little on the noisy side but not over the top noisy. The bobby burger is first class. Winelist is fairly priced.
Fish was good. Chicken Med good. Pesto pasta average.
Very good food . Good service.
Great place for food and atmosphere
Ridiculously overpriced for what they are and what they offer. We ordered one of their fish specials and it was $45 a plate. Our waiter did not mention the prices when telling us about it, and we were pretty shocked when seeing the bill.
Great deal for New York City.....ridiculous for Deerfield.
Always have a great meal when we go to Bobby’s!
Our server Mario was great. He took his time and was very patient with my wife. Our food came out exactly as ordered.
Their steaks addition menu is top quality. We enjoy the bar scene on weekends and dining room when meeting other couples. We feel like home every time.
Great for a business luncheon.
Everything about our meal was enjoyable, as always.
My husband and I went on Valentine’s day at 6 pm and had a disappointing experience. It initially took almost 15 minutes before our waitress approached the table, and things didn’t get better. We ate the table bread while waiting and had to ask 3 times with 3 different people for another loaf. When we finally saw our waitress again and asked she said “ oh didn’t someone bring it?”
My husband and I were both in the restaurant business for years and are usually quite generous tipping. Last night was the first time I didn’t feel like the waitress deserved a tip. What should have felt like a nice evening out felt like why did we bother.
So when we finally we able to flag down the waitress( who didn’t deliver food , remove our plates or ask if we wanted dessert, although when entrees were delivered she did come over to ask how they looked) to ask for our check she delivered s copy that just had the total not the items we ordered. We asked another waitress to get the manager and an assistant manager came by the table. We told him how disappointed we were in the service and asked for the breakdown of what we ordered. At this point you’d think he might have asked what went wrong or apologize for the experience we had. He did not! We will not go back. Nothing special about it.
Friendly service, good food and A downtown feel, makes Bobby’s our favorite place in the burbs
I have never had a bad meal or a bad experience at Bobby's. In fact, I've never ordered anything that wasn't creative, flavorful and delicious. The food is exceptional. The service is terrific. Great wine list and the craft cocktails are amazing. Fantastic !
Was a wonderful experience! Will defintely go back again and recommend to others.
Hadn’t been to Bobby’s in about 3 months, my go to spot in DeerfieldI. Ordered a new pasta item, it was very good. Wife ordered the pasta special. It sounded pedestrian, basically spaghetti with scallops and bread crumbs. It was delicious. Bobby’s continues to impress with consistently good to excellent food, really nice bar, and great service.
The salad was tasteless, the over priced pasta was not what the waiter described, was swimming indeed a very mediocre tomato sauce which was not supposed to be on it, ( it was supposed to have pesto w/ sun dried tomatoes. Obviously the chef does not know the difference between sun dried tomatoes & pesto.
Bobby’s is one of my go to choices. Always a good meal and nowcwuth a restricted diet, they could not be more accommodating.
Food was outstanding; but $55 for a strip steak in the burbs is questionable at best!!!!
Waiter was not familiar with menu and did not check on our table. Food was good.
So fun & lively
Everything looks great... but something was missing and we couldn't figure out what. It was good. Just not awesome. Maybe the intense noise got in the way of our enjoyment. It's a big room and there is little to absorb the sound - after the large groups get into their third cocktail or glass of wine, it's major noise.
This was the first time I had been at Bobby's for dinner. I am a frequent diner at lunch time and have always had great service and the food is better than average. We used my father-in-law's special Birthday to gather the family for dinner. We were very disappointed at the service, had to ask on multiple occasions for basic service such as water refills and additional bread. The waiter had to be asked to take our main course order as he disappeared for a long time. When the food came out one of the meals had to be given back. The manager did comp our desert but the experience was not what we came there for. They were very busy that night so I will give them the benefit of the doubt for future dates.
Amazing food, large portions.
Great bar, good food with outstanding service frim Mario.
Great as always
