Boatyard Ratings and Reviews
I love this restaurant - the food is wonderful, the ambiance is awesome (feels like you are on vacation) and the staff is super friendly. Great for children, etc., etc. The only thing lacking this time around was the service - no bussing/cleaning of table between courses (and we had a lot!) and problems running/splitting our credit cards. But again, the staff is lovely and accommodating. Highly recommend. I love this place.
We were celebrating our 39 wedding anniversary. My chef favorite sliced New York Steak with toppings was first delivered without the favorite toppings and was sent back and was not the tenderest. My wife ordered the chef favorite snapper well done-not even close- was sent back . 2nd time a charm. Thank goodness we had a gift card because the dinner was overrated and service was good at best.
Our reservation was at 8 yet we were not seated until almost 8:45. There were several hostesses seating customers, but it appeared as though they were disorganized. Food was good but the service was very slow. It was 10:30 when we left. Overall, the atmosphere was very noisy. We are new to the Open Table app but we have be seated much closer to our reservation at other restaurants.
Gigi server very personable
Sea Scallops, Scottish Salmon, and paella all very well prepared, great flavors.
Management did not advise servers of items sold out. Two of our orders came back (separately). Saying all out. pork Chop and Grouper. Mainstays why run out? And not know. Server so embarrassed after first time of telling us out or pork chops she sent manager over to tell me was out of Grouper special. With all the confusion took way too long to get food. Over 45 min. Looked like kitchen short staffed and place was empty as after 9pm.
They Tried to compensate with two free drinks.
Then valet came to table and said we were last car and he was leaving handing us keys and split. It was 10:15 they close 11. That’s horrible.
Overall the meals were very good. Just eating out is a complete experience and they blew it!!!!
What a great date night! The restaurant was recently redone and it does not disappoint. The restaurant is gorgeous, down to every last detail. We got a table outside by the water and had a great view of the yachts. Food and service were top notch. Definitely recommend the grouper piccata. The seafood cart was delicious as well. Biggest shrimp I’ve even eaten. Great spot!
We've been to dinner there a few times and it's been good. We decided to try their Christmas Eve Brunch. We were extremely disappointed. They had two serving stations (eggs benedict and omelet). They were both inadequate. The unlimited mimosas where a real let down. You were not served at your table, you need a "token" which your waiter hands and everytime you want to refill your drink and then you have to "walk" to the bar area to get our own drink. Not very relaxing at all. Spent over $100 and didn't eat or drink much... We would have been better off at a nice steakhouse for dinner! Don't recommend their brunch!! Waste of money!
Food was delicious, Tuna Tacos appetizer was outstanding! Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Reservation was honored early. Outdoor dining experience was beautiful. Food was delicious ( I know I said that already) and I was dining with 2 personal chefs who were visiting from Atlanta. They gave me kudos for the choice of places to dine among hundreds in the area!
About as nice a waterfront setting as one can find. The food was good.--not great-- but solidly good. Our table was outside, quiet and well shaded. Service was knowledgeable and efficient. Now it wasn't particularly busy, but everyone was extremely pleasant, valet, hostess and waitress. They could probably waive the bread and butter charge, it's a bit classless in a classy restaurant, but on balance it really didn't matter much. There was just so much more to like.
We had been flying from the Pacific NW for eight+ hours, had been served a full breakfast and lunch on board, and were somewhat tired. Therefore, and not being very hungry, we wanted a light dinner at a good restaurant within a short walk from our hotel. The Boatyard fit the bill perfectly. I highly recommend it!
