Great! Good food. No free bread. A lot of lettuce.
Great meal and atmosphere for a business dinner. Would go there again and recommend to others for the food and table service.
Great service, go early for waterside dining. Really enjoyed the Brussels Sprout starter and the fish (yellowtail) was delicious.
Great experience in dining room. Bar was busy.
Good place for brunch, Terry was are waiter and was wonderful. Has a front water dinning options, you can arrive on your tender have a nice brunch with live music.
The Octopus was so much better, I mentioned that it was chewy and over cooked to the server my previous visit, she totally hooked me up! Thank you, awesome team at Boatyard!
We had to wait rather long in between the appetizers and main course. The manager even came over to apologies. Great Decadent Chocolate Duo cake.
Birthday celebration for my friend. Sat on the dock. Relaxing and beautiful. When I made a reservation the day prior through open table I did mention that it was a birthday celebration however the hostess nor the waiter mentioned it so I told the waiter. He brought over the dessert menu before my friend arrived so I could pick out a dessert. I thought the dessert was free and was never told otherwise until I got the check and saw I was charged $9 for it. The food was good and Ive eaten there before but next time I’ll decide to go to a different restaurant for a special occasion bc there are so many that are as good and offer a free dessert for a birthday celebration.
Pretty Solid place....price a little high but worth it..definitely coming back
GREAT FOOD, GREAT ATMOSPHERE, GREAT SERVICE, THANKS !!!
location was good. right on the canal. wish we could’ve sat outside but it was busy. service was good. menu options ok. i ordered the seafood paella. can’t really call it that but still good. overall recommend for a cozy date night.
We had requested a table outside as it was our anniversary but when we arrived we were told the wait would be an hour and a half. We were very disappointed. The manager was not able to help us and gave us a table in the middle of the dining room. He took care of our dessert and app but we were not interested in that. We would have preferred a phone call to explain this would happen. Very unhappy with his lack of care.
Excellent food and service!
Food and Service were AMAZING! Only negative was that it was freezing inside to the point of being uncomfortable. Would absolutely go back and sit outside.
Excellent service and food.
Love this place. One of our favorite restaurants. Management, servers, bartenders, hostesses, valet are completely professional and make you feel welcome and important at this upscale eatery. Atmosphere is understated elegance - even patio dining, bar, firepit. Most important, the food is consistently delicious. We sometimes bring our labradoddle!
The service was good, the food was mostly good other than the octopus being very, very overcooked twice. The staff made little effort to make sure it was rectified the second time, which it was not.
Great evening! Our server Gigi was amazing.. she also helped us find an after dinner spot.
Fantastic dinner, I had the Paella, Fish was so fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the calamari, Our server was great, very attentive. Will go back when I am in that area again.
Overall a good experience. Will return and recommend to others.
The Hosts were not friendly, arrogant.
They acted like they are the guests there, not the clients.
I booked the date and a time a month an advance from NY just to hear that waiting time for the table outside is one our AND 30 minutes. No sympathy if you are upset.....ARROGANT!
The tuna was simply ok with NOTHING on the plate except 4 small peaces of tuna for $26! I am sorry but its overpriced! The portions are small and prices are high......
Don't think we are coming back! There are so many other options around with friendly hosts , great food and better prices!
The ambiance and staff are exemplary! The reason for my poor food review is because of the almost complete absence of vegetarian/plant-based options. The ONLY option, in fact, is salad. When I asked if the chef could make me a vegetarian sandwich out of the ingredients being used for the other sandwiches, I was told NO that was not possible. I can get a vegetarian menu from Miller's Ale House for goodness sake. You mean to tell me that I can't get more than a salad at an establishment such as The Boatyard. Given the trend towards a plant-based way of eating, I suggest the Boatyard get with the program and make options such as cauliflower tacos, roasted/grilled veggie sandwiches, for example, available to those who do not wish to consume meat and dairy food products. Other than that, I love the place and I highly recommend the Tropical Tiramisu and the Blackberry Smash cocktail!
Nice dinning experience and good food. A bit pricey.
This was our 3rd visit and was disappointed that they had dropped their "Short Ribs" from the menu. The noise in the restaurant was extreme. Most likely we'll not return.
We had such a great dinner. We did not reserve an outside table but the hostess sat us near open windows at my daughter's brief mention that we should have thought about outside reservations. Andrea was a fantastic server! She treated my two kids with respect and when she heard me call them by their names she immediately picked up on it and started addressing them by name. She was attentive and did little things like bringing side sauces before the main dish, folding napkins, etc. The good was hot and fresh and very good. There were unpublicized options for children. Th manager, Dylan, came to our table, gave me his card and invited us back. It was a lovely , welcoming, delicious experience.
Easter Sunday. Service was mediocre, fish was prepared well but presentation was bland. Everything ala carte, even bread
My elderly mother and i were sat at a table that shared a booth back. the party at the next table used foul language every other word. it was Easter Sunday and my mother was uncomfortable. They usually serve a brunch on Sunday but just recently did away with it for a total a la cart menu. (pay for eggs, toast, coffee, etc... all separate charges. They should have described this on their web page. Never again!!!!
Reservations were made for 2pm. We arrived at 145 and we were told we couldn’t be seated until 215. We left am hour later at 245 and received a text at 250 that Our table was ready - totally unacceptable- will never go again
The Boatyard is a wonderful restaurant. The management is excellent. Our experience was less than perfect since we had to move tables. Another patron insisted on bringing her 4 pound dog in the restaurant. These are NOT service dogs and restaurants feel powerless to deny them entry. Emotional support animals are not to be in restaurants. I find it offensive and gross around my food.
We had an early reservation for Easter brunch. Service was great, although we were seated near the bar and there was a constant line of people by our table. Strange process to provide guests "chips" to eat and to drink. The eggs benedict bar was great; the omelette bar had lots of great choices. Both processes took a while, so I could not imagine how slow it was once the restaurant filled up! Nothing special offered for the holiday though, which was a little disappointing. I don't think I'd come back for brunch, but would for lunch or dinner.
Some portions were bit small for the price, seating and view are exceptional though. Service was appropriate but recomendational information was minimal from our server.
Really enjoyed Boatyard as usual. Great food and service!
Great environment, excellent food, and awesome service!
We did not know when we made the reservation that Thursday night was ladies night. The restaurant was extremely loud and some of the ladies where stumbling drunk. We even saw a group of “ladies” pick up drinks left behind by another group and finish them. The menu is nothing special but the Tuna Tacos starter was outstanding. I was unimpressed with the Shellfish cart. The shrimp still had part of the vein in them, the fish sriracha was acidic and the stone crab claws where ridiculously overpriced; I can get better quality and a pound for the same price in other high end restaurants. Mains where fine I had the salmon and my wife had the bronzino both where well prepared. In all a disappointing experience at a highly recommended restaurant.
Great food and great service!
The night was magical! Can’t wait to go again!
Excellent atmosphere, decor, service, food
Staple dining experience during every trip to Lauderdale
If u eat at the outdoor bar just enter thru the valet lot
I had previously been to Boatyard for happy hour, which is fantastic. We went for Sunday brunch this time - I DO NOT recommend it!! If you order an omelet or an eggs benedict, they make you go up to a very chaotic, inefficient, poorly organized station where you have to stand and wait for least 20 minutes to get your food. Completely ruined the ambience since we were a party of 3 - one person had to wait in the omelet line, one person had to wait in the eggs benedict line, one person ordered something from the kitchen and was sitting alone awkwardly at the table - none of us could talk to each other while we waited for our food, which of course arrived at different times. Once we finally received our food, everyone agreed it wasn’t particularly good and rather bland.
