Great dinner outside on the deck overlooking the water. Food was fresh and well seasoned, and service was attentive and helpful with menu suggestions.
Great spot for drinks dinning and views. It’s a must go in ft lauderdale
Food is perfect servers are funny and knowledgeable. Building is gorgeous.
The Boatyard for brunch was classy and fun. Food was great, prices were higher but adequate. Service was good. The unlimited drink menu for brunch is great, you can actually get unlimited screwdrivers with your money, which makes it beyond worth it.
Alex was an amazing server. Overall, great experience .
Server was fantastic! And the food as always was amazing! Always enjoy our experience at Boatyard.
Not at all of what we expected. Disappointed in food
I wish I remembered our servers name because he was just horrible. He made us feel unwelcome and actually expressed how it was annoying that one of our guests didn’t order food. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. I would have come back if we didn’t have him as the server and the management seemed to back him up. They definitely don’t follow the every customer is right ideaology.
Food is great, raw bar is pricey. $8.00 per shrimp? A bit excessive, but the overall menu pricing is in line with comparable restaurants, and the food is fresh and delicious. Inventive fish entrees, cooked to perfection, and the service was amazing.
A little expensive but worth it! Definitely sit outside if possible
Loved my dinning experience. The ambience and pier were both very inviting. The service and the attention paid to detail describing the food was "none better". Andrea S 219 was superb. We were served a mile marker, side salad, grilled swordfish, garlic mashed potatoes and key lime baked Alaska.
We will return the next time in town and have already shared our experience with several family members and friends, along with your web address.
Thank You for that wonderful experience
My friend and I dined for lunch there on our lunch hour. We had a great table outside, but the server disappeared, and we had to ask a hostess, who had another server check on our lunch for us. A couple who came after us and had hot food, were served before us. We know things happen, and it could have been his lunch hour, but since he didn't come back until almost the end, we were wondering what happened. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was terrific. I would return for sure, and have been going there for a couple of decades.
Arrived 25 minutes early for my reservation and wasn’t seated until 20 minutes after my reservation. There were plenty of open tables and we still had to wait a long time with a reservation. Expensive for such small portions. Pretty atmosphere. The yellowfin tuna platter was delicious though.
Not good. Freezing cold, air conditioner was blasting (bring your parka), took forever to get our food at one point we were convinced they forgot our order and we were considering going online and ordering pizza delivery to the restaurant. Food was not good. Nice ambiance tho, that’s about it.
Great service and interesting food preparation. Food tending to be a bit salty but otherwise well prepared.
We enjoyed our first visit very much !!!
The food we had was excellent!!
Not really impressed. Lobster tails were good. Pesto cauliflower was fantastic. My spouse’s steak was alright. Our friends’ meals were mediocre. It’s okay. Not worth the cost though.
We expected them to have steamers but no go. The menu is a tad light but we're from New England so we have high standards for seafood.
Fabulous food and service in this elegant yet cozy spot. Great outdoor seating, we will be back.
My dish (spicy Salmon) was only ok. The charred octopus was delicious! And the service? Well the service was superb. Not only was our own waitress attentive but the other waitress in the area checked on us and the manager as well. You might think this was too much but it wasn't. Our waitress may have gotten a bit busy and the other two checked in at just the right times. My friends and I never felt that we were waiting for service or that we were being interrupted.
I have been here only once before, for brunch, and I loved it. This was a nice quiet lunch and I had another pleasant experience. I will definitely be back soon!
I received an email that I didn’t show up and didn’t cancel my reservation and i should do this in the future. I DID come and have lunch there last Saturday, March 10, and I did give my name to the hostess and said I had a reservation. I wanted to sit on the patio and the hostess said fine and told me to see the hostess out on the patio.
The location is outstanding. Service is polite and efficient. As repeat customers we found the lunch menu brief. I looked for a salad but none appealed. The food served was tasty, well prepared, hot, and enjoyed.
The highlight of the meal was a non-alcoholic blackberry tea with mint; presentation & flavor were noteworthy.
Lunch portions were adequate but not large. Menu prices were on the high side. We found it unusual there were no common dressings (ranch, blue, thousand).
Great views, extremely slow service, mediocre over-priced food. AMAZING BREAD .
Its hard to recommend this place, its very par-for-the course for Ft Lauderdale, sadly we just dont have that many great options.
We had a great dinner at the Boathouse. Food was good, service was excellent. We sat outside by the outdoor bar. Great people watching. Ambience very good. Overall value was good. Large restsurant busy seems ok to bring children. I would recommend a visit.
Great! Love this place!
Hostess was rude. We were in the restaurant sharp right time. She just said that we have to wait about 30 min and send txt message, when table is ready. No 'sorry'. When I got txt message and went to her desk, she said rude 'sit down' and we were still waiting. Service was polite, but slow. Food was good.
Always a wonderful experience
Consistently 5 Stars
Reservations a must
See you again!
Overall great experience, our exellent waiter Albie was great and suggested a few favorite drinks which was awesome. Albie is definitely an asset to your company. The only negative was the chair pad was a bit hard to sit on for an hour.
Very good but quite noisy. Will sit outside next time
Came here for Sunday brunch and was somewhat disappointed. Our waitress was a total airhead and spoke to us like we were total idiots. Grilled octopus was over cooked. Brought the appetizers and entrees out at the same time. My boyfriend complained and then when they brought my entree out, my bagel was burnt. Mimosa/Bellini bar was wonderful as well as the Benedict bar. Also had to wait 15-20 minutes despite having a reservation and being on time.
Fantastic omelette bar and setting. Great service too
We were last here on Mother's Day.. and it was simply amazing -- service food and ambiance. And that is probably a restaurant's craziest day of the year. This time was a Sunday brunch and it was a repeat performance. This is just a wonderful place. Don't get your hopes up about eating outdoors when they are busy.. the wait is long. But the inside is totally open and you can walk in and out with ease. We drove from Boca and met friends from Miami for the brunch. All agreed it was well worth the drive.
The mahi-mahi with mussels in curry was amazing - very flavorful. And their Bimini bread is unique - very sweet. Unfortunately our waiter also had a large wedding party inside and it was difficult for him to keep up. They assigned another waiter mid meal and that definitely helped.
I always love dining at Boatyard, it’s such a beautiful restaurant with great service and delicious food. Truly a wonderful experience every time.
Such a nice setting. Water front... Way to noisy for a restaurant of this type. A/C ran non stop like a refrigerator, until I finally had a few polite words with the manager.
Food is good, not great. Grouper portion was small but tastey.
Enjoyed Boatyard! We had cocktails at the bar for an hour (our choice) and then had dinner. All food items we had were delicious, but only lukewarm . Very busy Saturday night; just felt like servers couldn’t get it together. Two and a half hours for three courses! Manager apologized for long waits , but we were okay with it as we had plenty of time to sit. We would go back again but for almost $300 for dinner will expect better!
My friends are disabled and your staff was very helpful in assisting them. Your receptionist went out if their way to make sure we were accommodated. Your wait staff was kind and patient with them. Very sweet. Sam deserves a big raise.thanks for making this s great outing in all respects
Our most recent visit was much better than our past visit - it seems that things have come together. We still believe that the hostess needs additional training on greeting people - we had requested an outside table to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary - upon arrival, the hostess was very specific that our "inside" table was ready! We didn't push the issue, and got a table in the middle of the main dining area - all right, but definitely not an outside table. No apology, just this is what you get! The food is excellent - I especially enjoy the raw/cold seafood presentation, and while somewhat expensive, the shrimp were large and fresh, the oysters were good size and had a great briny taste, and the stone crab claws were out of this world - expensive, but they were large. We do recommend The Boatyard, and will return on our next visit to Ft. Lauderdale.
Bring out of town friends here. Food is wonderful and ambiance beautiful. You can have it all, bar scene as well as excellent dining.
