When in Florida we make sure we go to the Ft. Lauderdale area just so we can have lunch and dinner at Boatyard. It is truly our favorite restaurant. Love the Bimini bread and the seafood.
I went here to celebrate Valentine’s Day so I’m sure it was busier than normal but the hostess was rude in my opinion. She came off sarcastic and unappreciated of my business. The setting on the other hand was superb. The perfect place to dine if you’re looking for something a bit upscale. The food, although it came out extremely late, was great! As for the manager in duty, he was a nice guy. He adjusted the bill some as compensation for the additional time it took to get our food. All in all...I’d go there again.
A must do on your restaurant bucket list! Can’t wait to go again!
We booked Boatyard for our valentines meal. The restaurant was extremely busy as you would expect but we couldn’t fault it one bit. Staff were extremely friendly and offered great service. The food was outstanding and seeing how busy it was very timely. Great restaurant can’t wait to visit again when next in Fort Lauderdale.
We made a reservation 3 weeks before and requested outside seating for Valentine’s Day. We arrived 7 minutes early and were told to check back in at 6:30. We went back to hostess station at 6:30 and were seated at a table next to the kitchen. After asking the seater for outside and/or a window seat we were told we could wait an hour to an hour half for that seating. My husbands chair was on a loose board and consequently was rolling back and forth. My husband ask for a different table. A man immediately came over and moved us to a different room (quieter) and table. Our waiter Gabriel was very good but super busy. The food was good but not outstanding. We probably will not return.
Took my wife and Daughter for Valentine's Day and had a wonderful time! I would recommend!
Requested to sit outside when made reservations. However was not acknowledged when we were seated. It was Valentine’s Day I didn’t want to make a big deal about it.
The food and the waitress Laura P was excellent!
Excellent flavor mixture.
Fantastic fresh seafood and steaks in a beautiful setting. Robin, our waiter, was superb.
Food, service and outdoor seating was all perfect. Isaac was such a great server.
Had friends visiting from England. The perfect waterside place to take them for a leisurely lunch. I big thanks to our waiters who were very attentive while allowing us lots of time to enjoy ourselves. Highly recommend!
Great outdoor seating. Been there for lunch and dinner & the outdoor area is outstanding!
Very nice place, we made a online reservation but they don't take online reservations fo more than 4 people, we were 6 people, when we arrived they helped us very good and gave us a nice table for six . The food was awesone. We recomend the restaurant in every aspect
Food was great. Kale salad is one of the best around. If you can get a table outside, all the better.
Beautiful setting and great atmosphere. Great design and ambience . Service was a little chaotic at first but then excellent .
My reservations was for a Saturday night at 9:15pm. I asked for outside seating, I was told there was an hour wait time. Not sure why because there were several empty tables. However my server was the best. He made my inside dinning awesome. I believed the young lady seating us did not want be to sit outside. The food is pretty pricey.
Me and my girlfriend went for a special valentines dinner and the Boat Yard did not disappoint from the ambiance of the restaurant, to our waiter it was excellent service. Our water Benjamin was very people friendly and genuinely just happy to be at work. I definitely will be recommending Boat Yard to my friends.
I went to dinner here with a group of 3 other to celebrate a friends birthday at the recommendation of another friend. We were immediately impressed with the ambiance and became further wowed upon taking the first bite of our appetizer ( calamari and Bimibi bread)--The dinner itself was nothing short of amazing. As a foodie, I have solid appreciation for well seasoned food wanting to slow dance with my taste buds. Truly, we all were all trying to "savor the flavor". It is a meal that no one wanted to end. Our server Gabriel was attentive and I was personally in awe at how many tables he was serving on a busy Saturday night, so efficiently and so professionally. He was awesome.....the food was awesome.....ambiance awesome.....simply awesome experience. Can't wait to go back!
Only problem was the slippery floors! It was very dangerous. Other than that, the food was awesome.
Buenísimo !!!! Y el salmón scotish 👏🏻👏🏻
Food was excellent. But noise level was so high it distracted from the dinner. And food came very quickly. I prefer to have a slower dining experience when paying high prices.
Simple menu, but food is good. A la carte makes very pricey. Wood decor and packed bar makes it very noisey.
One of my favorites in Fort Lauderdale! Highly recommend this place!
I took my friends who are from England to this restaurant. We all agreed the food and service were great. Nice view from the water front too.
I recommend this restaurant.
The crab cake appetizer and salmon meal were delicious! One of the best meals we've ever had. We also loved the key lime pie dessert. Creative and genius taste combinations to make an exquisite meal. Service was wonderful and atmosphere was charming.
I ordered fish and got a minuscule piece. Everyone else ordered Salmon and got a very lard piece. When I politely inquired I was told by my server that that was what it was. No apology or "could I offer you something else"? Waiter totally mishandled the inquiry and our party was turned off. Management needs a refresher on customer service. We won't go back or recommend the place. Too many other fish places in the area.
Beautiful outdoor dining. Very good service and delicious food.
Sunday brunch was a delightful experience and the signature Bimini bread was a must have. Fair prices for great food and I happen to love action stations like the omelette and the benedict options. Well done, I’ll be back!
Huge place, inside and out. Outside is on the water, but it's a canal and you face condo buildings. Prettier at night. Nice looking restaurant (like a boathouse), though a little cavernous. Bimini Bread with honey butter is outstanding. Fish is very fresh and prepared well. Food is quite good. Fish tacos were delish. Good wines. Fun, lively atmosphere.
Nice start to a carribean voyage. Outside bar lovely. Snapper was tasty. Will come again
My wife and I have been to Boatyard many times. The overall experience has always been good. This time we came with relatives from out of town. While we were seated on time, the level of service declined from then on. Our waiter had a cold and standoffish nature about him. During the meal another waiter dropped a plate behind us but no one made sure the floor was clean for at least 5 minutes, until after another patron slipped and fell. The crowning moment came at the end of the meal. We wanted to split the bill in two, with half changed to my credit card and half to our relatives' credit card. In the past this was easy. We would get two separate paper credit card chits to add tips to and sign. However, Boatyard now has a tablet process to pay. This resulted in only my relative getting a final receipt (texted to him). I received no final receipt. Also, the 20% tip button was preselected (we had no choice). The worst part was that we were asked to rate the Boatyard on the tablet with the waiter looking on. While I tried to conceal what I entered, I rated everything satisfactory because he was looking over my shoulder. Despite the good start and food, the experience was very disappointing. Last impressions are more important than first impressions.
Food just so so for the price.
We have eaten here several times and are always very satisfied with the food and the service. Our reservation was honored immediately and we were seated at our requested table. Our waiter was great. We recommend it highly. You won’t be disappointed.
Service was difficult, as it was so loud. But very good. The octopus app. Is Killer!
See you soon!
We had been to the Boatyard several times in past years, so this seemed like a good choice to meet up with a local cousin we had not seen since last year. Although I had requested a quiet table, it was not to be. We were two tables away from the kitchen in a generally noisy restaurant. When we asked about a table change, were told there was nothing else available. So although the food was excellent (although pricy), one literally could not converse with the folks across the table. For this reason, I could not recommend this restaurant if you like to talk with the people in your party.
Great atmosphere, outstanding food, wonderful service and one of the coolest spots in Ft. Lauderdale. What more could you want!
It is such a lovely atmosphere- festive and tropical. We sat outside- fire torches were lit and huge yachts to view. Food was excellent- the naughty martinis were excellent. I highly recommend going. Our server Ken was very knowledgeable and attentive.
Celebrating a birthday. Was awesome and the best server ever.
