Nice Birthday lunch for girlfriend which I mentioned on reservation and check in but no one mentioned it or gave any special attention my only disappointment!
Boatyard's location on the inter-coastal is the main draw but the service and food is top rate. Looking forward to returning again when i am next in town.
Noise level was very high and prevented much conversation. Table was so dark we couldn’t read menu. Noticed tables in middle of room had spotlights. Ours did not.
Food and service were excellent.
We started out with wonderful appetizers of charred calamari and Brussels sprouts. We enjoyed Caesar salads and the beet salads...very generous servings! Our group ate the spiced salmon and grouper piccata entrees. The fish was so fresh and our meals were just excellent. Our server, Jimmy, was very courteous and attentive. He was the best! Haven’t been to the Boatyard in several years since we moved further north, but we will be making the trip more often.
The food and the service were both amazing! I had a great business meeting.
The servers were great. Not so thrilled with the hostess. Overall, great place to relax and eat.
Great food and service - our waiter was amazing!
I would highly recommend this restaurant to visitors or locals.
Wonderful brunch on the back deck overlooking boats and the canal. The cocktails were very nice, particularly the watermelon/mint jalapeno that our server recommended. Husband enjoyed his huevos rancheros, but the standout of the meal was the shrimp and grits...Absolutely the best I've ever had! Can't wait to return!!
A great place with terrific views of the marinas. Food is well prepared but accompaniments are not flexible. Been there several times and would retur. As often as possible
First visit here we went at 430 on Sat afternoon had early theater tickets. We had calamari, and blue iceberg wedge salad as appetizers both excellent. We had shrimp and grouper as entrees both excellent. The chocolate dessert was large and wonderful.
My favorite restaurant in the Ft Lauderdale area failed to deliver yesterday, a very unusual situation. Our first course was fine - squid rings with two dips. The rings were crisp, freshly fried and tasty. My friend's mixed salad topped with a large portion of grilled salmon was up to Boatyard's reputation as well. Alas, my mahi filet, ordered plain, arrived charred under what seemed to be a coating or rub, and was seriously overcooked and dry. I should have sent it back after one bite but didn't want to embarrass my guest on his first visit to the popular waterfront restaurant. To make matters worse, our newly hired waiter - who shall go unnamed, I later described his lapses to the front desk - failed to check on our refill our drinks during our 90 minute lunch. There was no inquiry about the half eaten slab of mahi. To get my credit card run I had to ask another waiter to see to the task. All in all, very disappointing.
We were seated promptly at the reservation time and greeted by a friendly waitress
who explained the menu and the daily features. The food arrived quickly and was either cold or hot as called for. The food was delicious but the portion of filet was the smallest we have ever seen. The featured sea bass was excellent. We have been there many times in the past 25 years and will continue to go there, and recommend it to our friends.
Boatyard is a neighborhood favorite. Good food and typically fine service. My grilled salmon was perfection. Love the easy parking and ambiance. My pet peeve is that I consistently request a booth in my reservation and often the hostess ignores this and then pushes back when I raise the issue. All in all a solid choice!
Overall good food small portions but prepared well. A bit noisy and a bit overpriced.
We were treated very well and ate better
Always a local staple. Straight-forward fresh seafood and steaks simply prepared. A local favorite for years, make your reservation, they're busy!
My favorite place in Fort Lauderdale...beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, and top notch food...perfection...
The food was great
The service was ok but not excellent
Third time we’ve been here. Not their best night. 45 minutes to get the appetizers. Then they didn’t clear those plates when the main course arrived. Me and others at our table had to clear our own plates by putting them on an empty table nearby. But, the food was good and the outdoor dining area is nice. They really should have comp’d the appetizers.
Great brunch... a bit of to much up and down if your planing on enjoying the $25 unlimited Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar. The food over all was very tasty but a tad expensive $14 for build your own omelette and $16 for build your own eggs Benedict. Outside patio is a great outside space but the restaurant does not take outside reservation which are Strongly recommend. Only really big negative is that apparently they allow people to be seated inside with dogs, since the table next to ours included a small dog.
Fantastic Brunch! Delicious waffles, omelettes, eggs Benedict and chocolate banana bread! Service was fantastic! Truly enjoyed our time!
It was our 17th anniversary; they gave us a memorable time together. The food & service was first class and my wallet didn’t take a beating. We enjoyed ourselves, our waitress recommended some good items as well.
We booked the Boatyard for Valentine’s Day after searching for a romantic restaurant on the water. Everything from the moment we walked in was just perfect! We sat at the bar because we were about 30 minutes early and the drinks were top notch. Once our table was ready we were escorted out to a beautiful dining area along the docks of the intracoastal. Hanging from the trees and tucked in the bushes was soft amber lanterns and lamps giving a very romantic atmosphere. Our waitress was so professional and attentive. I had the salmon which was spectacular and my boyfriend had the haddock which was equally spectacular! We will absolutely visit the Boatyard when we return to Fort Lauderdale!
Great dining for “that” special night. A bit expensive for regular dining. Great choices...seafood and beef.
Friendly clean bright environment. Food is excellent. Try the sunkist drink at the bar.
The steak was great the garlic mash was excellent I brung two friends and they say the salmon and swordfish was fantastic.
I ordered grilled octopus. Like many restaurants, they undercooked it. The recipe itself was terrific, but who wants octopus that is not fully cooked to the inside?
Too loud and totally singles night and scene
Atmosphere was energetic, but very crowded. Long wait for outside table with little place to sit. Difficult to get to the bar to order drinks while waiting. Lots of confusion over seating availability. Food was very good and wait staff was good once seated.
Hands down our favorite restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale! The food is outstanding and staff could not be friendlier!
Boatyard was a very nice restaurant with good food and good service. The atmosphere on the waterfront is amazing. Will definitely eat there again!
The food was good as always. It I was very noisy though.
First time for lunch, indeed because of the acoustics it is pretty much impossible to have a conversation, but we came at 1pm so once the room emptied it was really pleasant. We had a nice waitress and food came pretty fast. The outside seating is the best but limited.
Even with a reservation, it takes a very long time to get a table outside. The service at the bar while you wait for your table is not good and very long....However, when you get your table this place is WONDERFUL. The service, the ambiance, the food, the view on the canal is all great!
Great vibe! Good food. Beautiful view. We would go back.
We had a fabulous time celebrating our 30th anniversary at the Boatyard. The service was amazing!
Nothing to criticize. I was looking for an upscale place with fine dining and this place met my expectations.
