I love this place, except the inside bar. I sat for 10 minutes and the bar tender ignored me. I went to the outside bar and received excellent service.
The food was very tasty, the decor nice and the service was outstanding. It was however very difficult to carry on a conversation using a normal tone of voice because of the loudness of the restaurant. Don't know what they can do to resolve that but I would hesitate to go again because of this. If I were to recommend to a friend I would absolutely tell them about the noise. We went on a Thursday evening so it wasn't like a "Friday Night Out".
It is a very upscale energetic place on the Intracoastal.
The paella was the best I ever had. Will definitely return.
Tim, the outside bartender. was great!
Good food, good service but definitely not quiet. Recommend any of their fish dishes...fresh.
Seated immediately. Mahi excellent, swordfish was ok a little dry. Shrimp cocktail crunchy & good. Service very good. Acknowledged husbands birthday with free dessert & candle.
We had a terrific experience at the Boatyard! Our server was attentive and our food was perfectly prepared (according to our special requests). Can't wait for my next meal there.
Great food. Great service!
I always go to the Boat House when in Fort Lauderdale because of the impeccable service, great food and the view of the boats. Everything on the menu is delicious along with a great selection of beers to pair your food with. The outside patio is a great place to eat when the weather is good. Great Food!!!
I went for brunch the menu items were good and the fish was fresh. However, this is not a typical brunch when it comes to drinks, if you like doing bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary’s think twice before coming here. They give you tokens to redeem at the bar, which means that every time you want a drink you have to wait for your server to come and drop you a token; then you have to get up and walk over and wait in line with everyone else trying to get a drink, not fun! I would not recommend this place for brunch based solely on this fact, however the food was good.
They were very welcoming and friendly. Had a great outdoors table. Waiter was “vanilla” but competent and quite attentive. The food was great and as always the diverse flavors won the day.
Stayed at the Renaissance and walked out the back door and arrived at the Boatyard.
Food is fresh and delicious. Loved the raw shellfish cart! We had cerviche, oysters, stone crab claws and shrimp.
Great tuna tacos. Fun hand crafted cocktails!
A regular for many years and tonight was not good. Must have a new chef as the food preparation was totally different from previous visits. Not good.
Delicious food. Lovely ambiance... The servers seen a bit rough around the edges. Perhaps a training issue. But they were courteous, eager, friendly.. so no big problems... A lovely dinner as usual...
Too load. Staff was not flexible with seating although restaurant was empty. Left us very crowded at small table.
The best eggs Benedict in town !!!
It was great and the service was awesome.
Went on Friday nite 830pm.
Quiet. Very small menu choice.
I prefer Kaluz Ft. Lauderdale ambiance food menu and vibe
We had a lovely lunch on the outdoor deck. Food was very tasty and portions were large. Music was too loud and rap music. Bar was noisy when drunken college men appeared but we were finished with lunch. Our server was excellent. We would go there again. Lovely setting on the water in Fort Lauderdale.
Great atmosphere and good food on this buzzy popular restaurant. It is a bit noisy of you are seated inside. A great GoTo which we use every time we are in FL
Very good food and excellent service-a great dining experience-I highly recommend this restaurant
The Boatyard is one of my favorite restaurants when I’m in fort Laurderdale Always great seafood except this visit the mahi-mahi was a little dry. Other than that everything else was amazing as always
The soup of the day was tremendous as was the octopus dish. Our sever Gary is the BEST. One of my neighborhood favorites.
Fantastic. The food was wonderful. This may be the best restaurant in Ft Lauderdale.
Excellent!! Amazing food, very fast and friendly service, beautiful view and restaurant setting. Very reasonable brunch price And amazing cocktails!!
We had outdoor seating, and it was a beautiful day. The overall environment is wonderful and very enjoyable. Most of the food was very good, I had the best version of an old fashion that I have ever had. The one issue I had was that the steak and eggs on their brunch menu that I ordered took a long time to come out and when he did the steak was over done. The bread That was served with the meal was hardly edible in that char that was on the bread was overpowering and it just tasted burnt. The egg soufflé however was very good as a component of the dish. The remainder of the food we had including the bimini bread, charred octopus, and shrimp and grits were very good.
You can’t beat the view, but the food really needs an over haul. Why have the omelet station and Benedict station on the floor when it’s not an all you can eat? The $25 all you can drink champagne or Bloody Mary is a good concept, but they really need to use better products. We had to change our order because my wife couldn’t even drink one glass of champagne, and it was her Birthday!
Food and service both amazing.
We sat outside for lunch and watched the boat traffic go by. Food and service were both excellent with a very pleasant relaxing and quiet ambiance. Good value for money given the location.
We took our parents out for a nice meal. Boatyard delivered. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly.
This place is a gem in Fort Lauderdale. Their Bimini Bread is the best appetizer. There is plenty of seats but make sure to make reservation before heading over there. If there is good weather, seat outside and enjoy the water views. Food is delicious and our waiter was super nice. Highly recommended place to go in Fort Lauderdale. Fresh seafood.
Very good food and ambiance; reasonable price. Good wine list and staff well trained.
Would’ve been perfect if we could’ve gotten a table outside. Inside is nice, but outside is def the place to be.
We stayed in Ft. Lauderdale for a few nights getaway. Wanted to find authentic local seafood, and found Boatyard based on reviews. I ended up getting a Salmon salad dish (not exactly local, but I couldn't resist), which was delicious, fresh and fulfilling. We also had ceviche from the shellfish cart, which was perfect, and my husband ordered Grouper for his meal. Everything was top-notch. Don't miss the Bimini Bread...if you're cheating on your diet. ;)
This once was a great place for brunch. Now, it's just another restaurant. Nothing special. I won't be back.
Reservations for eight got there two hours early hoping that we could get in We went outside walk to the bar which the ambience is so beautiful how to drink and we spoke to the manager who was so wonderful and hospitable he immediately got us a table We had a wonderful server who was also training another server they both were fabulous our experience was wonderful the presentation of the food was beautiful and we will definitely come back we are definitely putting it on our list of places to come we are from Michigan we come to Fort Lauderdale three times a year Griffin made our experience so wonderful
Tasty cocktails and delicious seafood. Nice service. Cozy outdoor seating that wasn't too noise but the noise level inside seemed a bit loud. All in all a good experience.
Was not impressed by our experience at Boatyard. I took my wife and daughter (16) to have a dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday prior to leaving on a cruise and we were disappointed by the food options to cover my daughter as they do not offer their lunch menu options at dinner time, meaning no burgers, conch fritters, other items, etc and there were no standard food fare for her to enjoy other then salads, fish, steak. Normally this will be enough for most but she wanted alternative options especially as they offered more at lunch. Very disappointing that they did not have flexibility with menu offerings between lunch and dinner options. I wanted conch fritters and my daughter had been planning to get a burger. My daughter ended up with mashed potatoes as her meal and then ordered the S'mores dessert that she asked for no raspberry topping and it came drenched under it. They took dessert off prior to issue as it was my wife's birthday and we believe they were crediting for her her birthday but then when we pointed out issue waitress said, I already credited it since it has the raspberry topping instead of making my daughter's dessert correct. Service overall was lacking and slow and this is one of the lowest ratings I have given of the 100 reviews I have left here on Opentable as I am usually very complimentary. Will likely try other options upon our return to Ft Lauderdale in a week after cruise.
You have got to get the Bimini bread. Don’t sit in the back party room. It’s way to noisy.
Food was meh! But restaurant is beautiful and staff is friendly and accommodating.
Had a great time and the table was ready on time
