Thank you for your service we had a wonderful time.
This was our third visit. We loved Boatyard the first time, but with each successive visit, the magic wears off. When we first arrived for our 6 PM reservation, we were told there would be about a 45-minute wait for an outside table, but after watching the parade of customers and servers going outside, we questioned whether we were just being steered away from that as an option because the tables are harder to service. Inside was not crowded when we arrived, so service was pretty fast; but not so much when things started filling up. You can either say "That's understandable", or you might say the server had too many tables. Food wasn't very hot, and one of our sides had to be returned because it was just plain cold. When the second serving came out, we were told "Here are some fresh...". So the first time, it wasn't fresh? As we remembered, it was loud, and nothing has been done to mitigate that over time, so I guess it's just to be expected, just be prepared to not be able to hear your dinner companions unless you all yell. All in all, what used to be special has just become average, but with an above-average pricetag. Don't get me wrong -- the setting is lovely, the interior is beautiful, the raw bar is enticing, and everyone coming to the cruise port for their one night before boarding the ship should come here for the experience. In fact, we'll probably come again. It's just a let-down for more than one visit.
Upscale and feels luxe but casual vibe. Grown and sexy place but you can bring the kids if you’d like. Food is scrumptious, the service is impeccable, the martinis mean business! By all means make this a regular spot.
Perfect evening meal in the sunset city. Great seafood and fish cooked to perfection together with a good range of wines. Highly recommended.
Good was amazing as well as the service. Noise level a little high inside but we were able to sit outside and that was the way to go. Will be back over and over.
Excellent brunch spot. Magnificent views, great ambiance, good food, service was on point.
It's nice to visit the Boatyard offseason when it's not that busy but sometimes service may tend to suffer a bit. Although our server was personable, she didn't pay as much attention to us as she might have, resulting in a long wait for our food. The quality is consistently good and the prices are what you would expect for that area and cuisine. The Sunday brunch looked amazing, but appeared to be too much food for us at the time! The chef told us the omelets were made with six eggs and up to 17 ingredients...yikes!
Arrived to a really cool ambiance and set up but was turned off by the hostess who was a bit too full of herself and borderline rude. We arrived 15m early for our reservation and all she said was ‘we will seat you at 8:30.’ with an air of ‘not a minute earlier cause we’re oh so busy’.
We decided to wait at the bar where things got fantastic and stayed that way - the Batman was super cool and made amazing drinks. We then got a great server who was friendly and attentive without being too much in our face. Food was wonderful! The octopus was good, the Bimini bread was tasty but the paella was outstanding!! Definitely the standout of the night. We got oysters which were fresh but one of the ones I got was full of shell pieces which at $3.75 a piece I expected to be perfectly shucked. We didn’t have room for dessert but the menu looked yummy.
We alway love going to this restaurant. Drinks, food we are never disappointed
On vacation with wife, son, and daughter-in-law, absolutely fabulous meal and experience. Best meal I’ve had in a while. Stone crab, steak, seafood....all top notch!
Great atmosphere and food. Highly recommend the boatyard if visiting fl.
The Boatyard has a good menu and the food is well prepared; BUT DON'T GO THERE IF YOU HAVE A FOOD ALLERGY. THE STAFF SIMPLY DOESN'T CARE! We have been there 3 times this year and twice, despite the server after being thoroughly advised of my garlic and onion allergy served me food with garlic. On the most recent occasion, I ordered a Capresse salad(no dressing) and reviewed the expected content with the sever in advance. He said the salad contained croutons, but they were garlic free. When the salad arrived, it was clear the croutons had something on them. My wife tasted them ( no allergy for her) and she confirmed garlic - more than a little. When we questioned the server, he said "oh, they might have been brushed with garlic--and walked away. No apology, no offer to replace the salad. When my "plain" grilled shrimp arrived they were obviously coated in something. The server, however, said they were plain -- and walked away. My wife enjoyed the shrimp--I may have missed a meal, but I avoided becoming ill-- despite the attitude of the restaurant.
From the moment we walked in it was pure boat feel from the oar chandelier to the port windows. It was so nice to go outside on the patio dining which is next to the boat docks and eat. The outdoor space was quite charming and made thee whole experience just perfect. We went for Mother’s Day and had a nice piece of fish and some cocktails. Will definitely come back next time I’m in town.
Waitress was outstanding and food was very good.
Went for Mother's Day Brunch. They were sold out so I give them credit for running everything smoothly. We had a drink out back by the water and yachts and it was great while we waited for our table which we got 15 minutes earlier than our reservation. Waitress was terrific but we waited waited awhile for our entrees. The Manager must have realized there was a problem since he came to our table and apologized for the wait. When our food came out we were told that we would not be charged which we did not ask for but it shows tha management cares about their service. Other than the wait for our food which we attribute to the busy Mother's Day crowd, we thought the restaurant was great and we will definitely be back. Price of the brunch was fair but their regular menu seems pricey which based on other reviews is probably worth the price. Great for fish with extensive choices. Main dining room noisy but not noticeable after awhile.
It was a great Mother’s Day! Thank you
Beautiful nautical atmosphere! Delicious food and great service.
Always a good time with a great atmosphere. Staff is attentive and food delicious.
Amazing dining experience! We had outside seating. Great service and great food, had the charred octopus 🐙 with chorizo - yummm and the scallop dish. Would def come back!
Outside is loveluy
Beyond noisy couldn’t hear my date and she sat next to me. Sound level bordered on painful.
Our server literally had to yell and said now that it’s off season it’s not as bad as in season...
Never go back
Always great. Brought 3 guests. All enjoyed it. They never rush you, so we enjoyed ambience and relaxed conversation. Fish was very fresh. I always have a special fondness for this restaurant because three years ago, I accidentally left a very important business document there, didn’t realize I had left it for about a month, and yet the manager had kept it safe in her little office, when it would have been far easier for her to just throw away. That means a lot to me. One last note: even coming from Dave/ Weston area, you can get here in about 18 minutes. So much handier than the more northern FLL waterfront restaurants.
Food was pretty food but service was terrible. We could not get our server to come back to our table for anything...could not order additional drinks, etc.
Love that place. Service is always great. Food is simply delicious. I have been here before and never disappointed. This time came after the conference with two others and they love it as well. All dishes have very safistucated taste I would call it high level of culinary
The waitress never mentioned the tray with the stone crabs and schrimp.I would have ordered some if I had known .I had the grouper and it was really dry.
Chicken was a little dry
Likewise “dry” crab claws
Great place to meet w/ visiting family from our f state and give them a taste of Fort Lauderale.
That is.....I would not recommend Boatyard to a friend if he/she abstains from perfunctory, indifferent hostesses, nose-buried in computer screens, mediocre food and a cacophony of sound inside the restaurant that should be reserved for inside a football stadium.
Most definitely, I will visit Boatyard again. Thanks to our waiter David, he was awesome, excellent customer service skills. The food was exceent, not salty, not sugary, just the way I like it. I had a blast.
Kale salad was large & very good. Shrimp tacos were ok. Shrimp roll was good.
Great space with lots of places to sit or have a drink, indoors and out. Lots of wood, and natural finishes make it feel very tropical and nautical. Ryan at the bar was excellent, as was our server and the food was delicious, particularly the paella. Loved it.
Everyone loved their first and appetizers. They even had a full vegan menu.
Beautiful restaurant, good food, great service. Dinner ambience destroyed by crowded and very loud bar. Patio tables are more quiet but you have to keep closing doors that customers leave open when entering/exiting from the bar.
Very high expectations from reviews, beautiful restaurant and menu/ food presentation. Disappointed in service, felt rushed, and not attended to after food served. For price point delivered way overcooked mahi on a waitress highly recommended dish. Second entree too overpowered with many flavors but scallops cooked perfectly.
Donald was our server, great! Man fell off the dock while we were eating, my husband helped pull him to safety. The food was great and the gentleman that fell was okay.
Inside the restaurant is really noisy - but the atmosphere on the outside deck is stellar !
Lovely as usual
Very, very nice place!!!
Food was outstanding! Perfect level of spices! Full of flavor!
We are planning already a day to go back there for lunch or dinner!
The ambiance was fabulous food absolutely delicious!
