Food was great! Had a wonderful time with my girlfriend! We both love seafood and the service was very fast! Highly recommend the coconut shrimp! DELICIOUS!
It has always been a great place, beautiful view excellent service and great food
Dave was an amazing server and can’t wait to return.
Beautiful views of the ocean front.
Food selection is great, I order the Coconut Cod special of the restaurant, sauce was very runny and quinoa was soggy. Cod was very well done but flavorless as were the veggies that accompanied the dish.
Everything was excellent.
Friendly professional service and great seafood. Awesome ocean view too
Drinks were delicious. Love the coronarita!! Steak dinner was to die for 😍
The food and service was only outdone by the view. If I didn't keep getting bugged about writing a review so often, it would be a much nicer experience.
Love this place. Excellent food and top notch service.
We asked for a window table and were seated at the last table at the far south end of the restaurant. It was cramped and somewhat claustrophobic. When the sun went down it was impossible to see as the room lighting does not extend to that area and there was no light at the table. There should not be a table at this location. The food was disappointing. The maple salmon was overcooked and the “plank” kind of pathetic. The halibut was very thin, more fish and chips grade, not what one would expect from a $40 entree. It was well overcooked as well. The cod was the best of the lot, not particularly overcooked and of decent thickness but was imbued with a very spicy sauce that was not warned about on the menu. The coconut shrimp was a meagre portion and no better than anything one can get frozen. The “featured red wine” was very tannic, borderline undrinkable, and certainly not a crowd pleaser. There are innumerable wines of decent quality that could be served at over $10 per glass. The service was brusque and infrequent. The first waitress cashed out on the middle of our meal because “the restaurant did not want to pay overtime”. That kind of summed up the experience: an uninspired, mediocre effort at an exorbitant price. Certainly not the Boathouse I once knew.
Wonderful view, friendly staff & great food! Thank you!
for the price you should get a better cut of beef and more crab and prawns.Had the oscar withe top sirloin
Our service was amazing and even though we were late we had great food and wonderful service. The managttook extra care of us since we had 3 little one under 6 Thanks for making our evening memorable and fun!!
Great food. Reservations accepted for
Lunch and had a wonderful window view. Food was wonderful.
Staff is so rude..last two times.... from start to finish as soon as our server got his tip he was a total diff guy
The Maple Salmon was absolutely the best
Fantastic birthday dinner this month! Highly recommended for any occasion when you want to have an incredible view of the ocean.
Great service and good tasting food
Normally go here for seafood, which is always awesome. This occasion was to take my date for Crab fest. I made reservations on open table and asked for a specific table which they provided :) Service was excellent and my peppered gin cocktail was amazing. I had the steak and crab with prawns. my date had the Crab which she loved - market price was $55 for her meal. my steak was cooked fine but tough; this can happen. I had two prawns on my plate. they comped dessert due to my steak ( I should have sent it back after the first bite, my bad). this was my first time having steak here and I think ill stick with seafood next time. boathouse = seafood whereas Keg = steak. I should have known.lol
The food quality really is sub-optimal, and unfortunately, the service is also just okay. It feels like the Boathouse needs a real refresh to keep-up with competitors - they're most definitely falling behind.
Restaurant was great! Bar downstairs was not great. We waited for bartender for 10 min, then she was super slow to serve us, cleaning glasses in between mixing our drinks. Took 25 mins to get a drink.
My sisteŕ and brother in law were visiting from out of town and as I was their matron of honour at their wedding coming up to 30 years ago we took them out for a special meal. Everything from booking a reservation, requesting and getting a window seat to the fabulously prepared dinner was perfect. Server was awesome and was there when needed but left us alone to savour the view, food, wine and conversation. All in all a perfect evening enjoyed by all 4 of us.
Great seafood. Large shrimp and mussels. Service was a little rushed and forgetful. The music was not suitable for the upscale of this restaurant. It did not suit the style. Too loud.
It was delicious food, the girl was very friendly and professional. We loved the whole experience taking dinner at the Boathouse Restaurant
I had asked for a window table and we got a window table,
Thanks for paying attention to the request.
We enjoyed our meal at the Boathouse. The service was very good. The food was very good.
I love the menu here and the food we selected was delicious. Service was prompt and everything came exactly as described on the menu.
Requested table with a view and was put in the corner with a view of the side street. Then the table of kids made it even worse...So much for romantic dinner. Food was ok server was a great guy.
Great dinner, enjoyed the view of the falling snow.
Valentines dinner. It was very nice.
I normally enjoy dining at Boathouse White Rock. However, this time it was disappointing. They offered set menus ($49.99 and $59.99 for 3-course meal) for Valentine's Day, but the food was mediocre at best. The best of the night was when Rachel, who served me a couple of times in the past, recognized me and greeted me very kindly as we were leaving.
Love coming here especially in the summer on the patio. This time I came for Valentine's Day. Was a little disappointed with the clientele actually. Everything was nice in the restaurant, however, most people came dressed very casual. I was very surprised as it was a romantic occasion. I don't know if it was changing attitudes or people thought less of the location and didn't see it as a place thar was worthy of dressing up for.
Valentine’s Day! They made an error with the menu but fixed it with a replacement dish in 5 minutes. The food was perfect. My husband had prime rib with stuffed prawns and I had steak with stuffed prawns. Delish.
I would enjoy the food more if it was not over-hot with chili peppers or whatever hot
spices are used. It is not just the boathouse but it seems like all restaurants these days
insist on putting 'hot' into most everything. For me this takes away from the other flavours on the plate and leaves an unpleasant hotness in my mouth and starts my sinuses running. Hot dishes should be elective with degrees of hotness available so one is prepared and not disappointed in their meal. When I cook with green curry at home you get the curry flavor and your taste buds are not burned out for the rest of the meal. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism as intended.
We were seated at a table with a great view of the ocean and we watched a magnificent sunset.
The service and the food was excellent.
Had guests in from Paris, France and they enjoyed the location and the food was exceptional. Would recommend this location to everyone.
Our server, Michelle was phenomenal! Out of 6 people, 3 had severe allergies and she took great care of us. This was so appreciated as eating out is already difficult enough. We will definitley be back!
Excellent service and a well chosen options for Dine Out Vancouver's prix fixe menu made this a wonderful visit.
Birthday dinner with a friend for Dine Out Vancouver. Wonderful food & wine with amazing service and ambiance
