Boat House Waterfront Dining
Bridgette was amazing! She made our experience unforgettable.
The menu has changed and not for the better. Who puts cauliflower on the grill and calls it a steak? Gross.
Consistently excellent! Beautiful bayside location.
This is an excellent restaurant. Never disappointed.
Lovely waitress (Rebecca). Rey personable. Nice size servings
We were well taken care of and Shawnee was the best! We will definitely be coming back in the near future.

The Boat House always provides an enjoyable dining experience.
Made reservations for four, brought friends who had never been.
Requested a window table so our friends would enjoy the view.
So disappointed that we forgot to mention our RESTAURANT GROUP REWARDS CARD!
It’s always helpful if the server reminds us.
The Shrimp Scampi, Lobster Rolls and Swordfish were excellent.
Shrimp Cocktail and Calamari are very good appetizers.
Favorite spot in RI‼️Love the sunsets and fabulous food and service‼️
Excellent food. Had to wait 25 minutes beyond reservation time. Beautiful view. Service was slow
My friend said that the crab cakes were the best ever.
Hostess was lovely and our server Matt was perfect.
Our dinner was amazing! Superb wait staff and beautiful setting.
One of our favorite spots!! Food and service is always wonderful....and the view is spectacular !!!!
Nicole was very personable and provided excellent service
Beautiful setting and scenery.
I look forward to my annual lobster roll when back north for a month. I have had better, but the view is beautiful and a great place to meet up with friends from the Cape.
Service slow and food just average and over priced.
Our waiter Cean was enjoyable and made good recommendations. It was unfortunate the kitchen staff brought out our meals before we finished our appetizers and we were too full to enjoy our entrees. The restaurant was very crowded and I’m sure the kitchen was rushed, but it was a disappointment. However, for all the times we dine here, this was the first let-down.
Also - the Budina is outstanding!
First the good: 1) The oysters were stellar. Some of the best I've ever had. Right up there with the salty/sweet Wellfleet oysters. 2) The service was friendly. 3) The view was great.
Now the bad: 1) The weakest, most tasteless cocktails I've ever tasted. We complained about our over-priced, virtually alcohol-free cocktails after we overheard people at the next table speak to their server about it. 2) A runny, disgusting creme brulee. UGH! 3) Insipid main courses, with smallish portions of bland food. 4) Annoying music out on the deck. I'd have much preferred just the talk of the diners and the clanging of halyards against masts in the marina in front of us. 5) Although our server was nice, she was also hard to get the attention of.
They DID comp us for the inedible dessert and two cocktails we sent back, but it still was very disappointing.
Clearly, this place is resting on its laurels. They've totally stopped caring about decent food and drink,. hoping that the gorgeous location will be enough. It won't, in the long run. We heard from people in the area that they're no longer going to this once-favorite hangout anymore.
Tim was a great server. Food and atmosphere were outstanding. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful restaurant on the water. Service was excellent.
Can't beat the location. Food is solid but a little pricey.
What a wonderful evening! Food was delicious and came out exactly as ordered. The service was perfect. Would definitely return.
We booked our 41 wedding anniversary dinner
Perfect setting and delicious sword fish dinner
And Scallop meal
We got the window table we requested. We came for a late lunch (2:30) which was perfect bec the noise was much less bec a few tables were still open. We had a wonderful waiter. I wish i could remember his name. Tall, dark haired, dark shadow/beard. Very, very attentive and helpful.
all I can say is best lobster roll I have EVER had! The lobster was perfect with just enough mayo and the roll was hot and fresh. The drinks were delicious as well- try the basil gimlet!
Food and atmosphere were absolutely fantastic. We ordered mussels as an appetizer (delicious!), however, they were filled with sand. The manager was fantastic and comped the mussels as well as gave us a complementary dessert!
Great views, great food, great service!
Our Office made reservations for a "farewell" dinner for one of our Colleagues, who had accepted a new position. It was everyone's first time at The Boat House and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We were seated directly next to a bay window, which had the most stunning view. A wonderful way to end a hectic work week. Our Server was attentive & polite, despite a busy night for the restaurant. Food and drinks arrived in a good amount of time, with food portion sizes being just a tad smaller than the average/standard amount. We had requested, upon making our reservation, for a dessert to be delivered to our Colleague w/a special message. It arrived at the perfect time and looked absolutely amazing. (Thank You). The only complaint we had was (1) how close/tight all the tables were to each other, even the outside patio seats. Because it was such a busy night, it really stood out. For example, our table was close to the bar area and when a member in our party, wanted to go to the Ladies Room, she had to wait until the person at the bar, pushed in her barstool, before she could stand up to go.
The ambiance was beautiful, (although the clamor was a bit loud, but again, I think this was partially due to being a busy night) the setting & location was perfect and we all agreed, that even though it was a bit pricey, we would definitely all go back there again.
Great food, great service, good ambiance.
Would prefer to lie & give them a bad rating so it would be easier to get a reservation—can’t do that to such a wonderful restaurant!
Requested and received a window seat. Food was excellent - scallops and filet cooked perfectly. Service very good.
Overall it was very nice. We arrived early and was able to seat outside and have a drink from the bar. That was fantastic. We thought they’d come and get us but that never happened. A few minutes after our reservation we inquired and were seated right away. There were vacant tables, so I do wonder why we weren’t called to be seated. The food was excellent. We were disappointed that the Ceviche wasn’t available. That was surprising because it was early in the evening. The service was exceptional.
Way too pricey for what little food you get. Overall, great view, great service, and the roughly ten bites of food before I was done were amazing. However, 34 dollars for five scallops is not really ideal.
Great sunsets, great food and fantastic service. 5 stars all the way.
Stood at the outside bar for a while without any acknowledgement, not even a look, and it wasn't busy.
Also took awhile to get going with our server, though after that, the service was awesome, the food was too and the evening was very pleasant. All around great experience.
Always my "go to" place in the area. I lived in Portsmouth for a while and now back in Chicago.
The service was excellent and the views were, as always, outstanding. Food was great and I'll definitely come back.
It’s always amazing at the Boathouse! It’s my favorite NRG restaurant. Love it all year round, but especially in the summer
Wonderful first time experience. Delicious food, great atmosphere will definitely be back. Highly recommend. Love the indoor-outdoor setting. Nice casual higher scale dining.
Attentive helpful staff, great food and relaxing atmosphere
