Boat House Waterfront Dining Ratings and Reviews
Another great meal at The Boathouse. This was my first time back since the seasonal menu change and it did not disappoint. The braised beef short rib was incredible-cooked to perfection and my friend had the bolognese which was fantastic as well. Delicious wine list to compliment, all topped off with a delicious pumpkin cheesecake. Blissful!
We were celebrating our 25 Wedding Anniversary and wanted a nice place with an array of food choices to celebrate. The Boat House did not disappoint. The food was good and plentiful. The next time we are in Newport we will be taking a ride to Tiverton to dine at the Boat House.
This is one of the few restaurants I willingly go to. Food and wine are both very good; moreover, it is quiet enough to talk without having to shout, an increasingly rare situation. The service was excellent. It is moderately pricey, but worth the cost. I did feel the vanilla ice cream was not up to my expected standard -- it was okay but not distinguished, and the caramel sauce it came with was also less than stellar. The seafood was terrific.
We were celebrating our anniversary. I had requested a table by the window to catch the awesome sunset and they were able to accommodate that request. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and wind list and just attentive enough. Our meals were outstanding, the wine she recommend was perfect with our meals. We were able to sit and finish our wine without being rushed. A great anniversary dinner.
The meal was excellent as usual and the view just adds to the dinning experience. When we booked the reservation through open table we mentioned that it was a special occasion and that we were celebrating an anniversary and I had asked for the table in the corner! They walked us right by the table which was empty I had to ask to sit there and they didn’t even acknowledge that we were celebrating an anniversary until I mentioned it. I just feel That they should make a note with your reservations and any special request next to your name. I realize that you are not always able to get the table that you would like but on this particular evening the table was empty
Was expecting a special experience in a high-end atmosphere. Great location but the inside was nothing spectacular; lacking ambience. More casual dress and noise was fairly high. Staff was great and very accommodating. Food was good quality but pricey for the portion and the unsalted butter served with rolls tasted more like margarine.
