Poor service! great building and view . Food for the price is outrageous and not worth going.
Our server Amy was very attentive and took great care of us
Enjoyed our meal and our waitress was very accommodating with our requests. The only thing I would suggest is a bit more variety for the lunch/brunch menu. Understand with COVID, you have to have limited items, but would have been nice to have a few more options. Otherwise, meal was delicious and well presented. We enjoyed.
The Boathouse Port Moody is a great place to meet, celebrate, and eat. These days a safe place to go because of Covid. There is plenty of space between tables.
Had the table in front of the fireplace. Cosy
The food was very disappointing!! The Lobster Ravioli was very “fishy” tasting! I asked for my steak to be medium, it was medium rare, I couldn’t chew it, it had lots of fatty bristle throughout.
It was for my husband’s birthday, I wanted it to be special, and it wasn’t! We won’t be back! The only thing that was nice, was the view!
No point in making reservations when they end up giving it away to another party. Wasnt to thrilled my mother with an autoimmune disorder had to stand outside while they dealt with the mishap. The whole point of making the reservations was so she wouldn't have to stand out in the cold. Wasn't to happy how it took 4 attempts to settle the bill as the p.o.s machines were not charged.
Unfortunately I do not have a good review! We love the boathouse but our dinner experience for Dine Out was not good at all. Every time we ordered a drink we waited a very long time to get them if the Server remembered and it was not busy at all to have to wait as long as we did. When we got our appies my husband and I had Lobster Bisque which was a little bland so we asked for salt and pepper three times until our soup was getting cold so we just ate it as is and asked several times after still for the salt and pepper for it to show up halfway through dinner. Dinner came and one person ordered the ravioli which was horrible unfortunately and cold. It tasted and had texture like it maybe had dried out in the microwave and when we mentioned the waitress simply said “well it’s not everyone’s cup of tea”. The lamb was not horrible but there was so much gravy sauce it was like a thick stew and in the menu it said it came with Asparagus and Zucchini we saw two pieces of thin zucchini and no Asparagus. It was a tad bland. Everything took forever to get our last drinks we just cancelled after 10 minutes because we were tired of waiting every time we want one. Basically for $170.00 bill we left very unsatisfied and we were celebrating my husband’s birthday on top of it. We live in Port Moody and love coming to the boathouse so when we saw Dine Out menu we were excited but between the server, waiting and food quality it was not a good visit.
Boathouse Port Moody continues to be one of our favourite go-to restaurants, whether it's just our date-night or a group event. Always good food and great friendly service.
Caesar salad was ok but not special
Steak and shrimp was good quality proteins but nothing to elevate like sauce
Accompanying Veggies were quite plain
Seating on patio was warm up above (heat lamps) but a bit chilly lower down
There was an extra charge for lava cake which I question why. Ingredients not that expensive.
But lava cake was out.
Cheesecake was worst I’ve had. Wasn’t like any cheesecake I’ve had. Call it something else. Or turf it since nothing special and not worth the price.
Overall I feel that boathouse is a place to go for the view but not the food. You should work on changing that view
We came to celebrate our family's Birthdays as we are all in Feb and happily all in the covid bubble together! We felt safe and comfortable with the set up during this crazy time, and will def be back again. Thank you for an amazing night out as we have so few these days it was nice to just step out even if it was for only a few hours!! Also the complimentary desserts were much appreciated as well... :)
Be safe!

The experience was good. As for food wise, liked everything except the lobster bisque. That was awful with no flavour, like warm water with some soy sauce. I've tried many lobster bisque from other places but this was bad. Other than that, the food was great, atmosphere was great.
Participated in the dine out menu, food came fast and was good. Limited wine selections, but well priced options compared to most restaurants.
Restaurant was clean and inviting.
Staff were pleasant and friendly.
Amazing experience! We were able to move to a window seat quite easily and our three course meal was evenly spaced out. We never felt rushed and were able to enjoy our meal
My husband and I went here for the dine out menu. My seafood chowder was good but I found fish bone from the salmon bits in my bowl. Was also feeding the soup to my 1 year old daughter, was not impressed. Our waitress didn’t come check in or ask how was our soups. I didn’t bother to mention anything, just dealt with it. I ordered my steak medium but got medium rare as it was quite red and not pink as to what it should be. Our waitress did not come check in and ask how our entrees were either. I didn’t bother to mention this as well, just dealt with it. Overall, food was good. Dessert was the best part considering nothing was wrong with it. But how can you really mess that up right?
1. the $25.00 points card. What is the point of the initial $25.00 payment?'
2. Do you actually train your servers to say, I'm making this offer because 'I like you.' ???
We were pleasantly surprised by our meal as we have been disappointed in the past with dinner. Happy hour menu has always been good though.
Food was good but wine way too expensive for what we got. A $12 bottle of Open rose for $38!!
Service was very good.
Was only our second time out since the start of the pandemic. We arrived to see the sun set and then enjoy the lights twinkling on the water. Service was great and every aspect of the meal was great.
Super night out

Everything was good - however Crème Brulee was very disappointing. Definitely did not meet expectations. Do not order (unless different people prepare it???) Steak was very tasty however sinewy - chef did a perfect grilling job (cut ??).
Food was excellent and best value so far for dine out Vancouver. Wine was exorbitant tho!
Beautiful setting.
Cool ‘boathouse’ decor.
Good food.
Great server!
The food was great and the service was terrific.
We felt well taken care of by our server!
Service was excellent and the food was also excellent. A perfect visit with the restaurant being not very busy with an early dinner time of 430, until it wasn’t.
At that time there were only a few other tables occupied and we felt very safe with how they spaced everyone out while we dined.
However, near the end of our dinner, we noticed a few more tables being filled as we approached the dinner hour.
It became obvious that guests at a few of these tables seemed to know each other. A second table of guests decided not to sit where they were originally directed to in order to sit near a first group which had just previously sat down. They began waving to each other across the room and we noticed some even physically acknowledging each other with hugs. To us it looked like folks at these tables were not from the same households.
A 3rd group then arrived and seemed to wave away their host seating them knowing some at the first table. Again, all three groups mingled and shared pleasantries, before staff noticed and began directing the groups to stay separated.
More people arrived and were not directed to sit down. After mingling with the first group, they were told to sit by ppl from the first group pointing to the third table behind ours. They mistook our table for the one they were supposed to sit at, and attempted to sit at ours before we told them we were not part of their large party. My wife and I were immediately upset that they broke our bubble putting our health at risk.
We called for our waitress to pack our desserts and she suggested we speak to the manager and pay at the door as we we were no longer comfortable in the dining area.
Manager originally waved it off as she stated they were not aware all groups were together. I informed her that this was unfair to customers as well as staff who would have to put up with these groups. She apologized but I felt brushed off. I expect a response from the restaurant, which I am a Landry’s Member of.
15 year Anniversary
Food was really good. The lamb shank melt in your mouth, the steak was seasoned very well. Portion was generous. Love love love the lava cake. So full I couldn't finish them. Décor of the restaurant is classy and tasteful. Service could be more attentive but it's dine out and waitresses were busy. Will be back!
Not good value for Dine Out Vancouver. Very small portions for the price
Our dinner was as expected, we enjoy the dining out experience and like the boathouse atmosphere. We did ask our server to call a cab and she forgot so we had to wait extra long g when it was time to leave. She did come out to apologize and said she got distracted. But overall we had a great tune.
Great service and delicious food. We will be back :)
Excellent food and friendly service!
We really had a great time!
Enjoyed our dinner. Being that it was winter the view was dark but our food and server was good. Felt safe as there was only a few tables occupied.
We enjoyed our meal very much and took advantage of the open table $40. offer. I also loved the fireplace and the ambiance it created. The lights on the water were enjoyed too. Our waiter was very nice as well.
Excellent. My first time there on recommendation from friends. Everything was exceptional, thank you.
Everything about this restaurant and menu was perfect for Vancouver Dine Out. The food was SO good for a pre-set menu, and for a big eater I was actually full at the end! Highly recommend the seafood chowder and lobster ravioli. Now I have been once, I will definitely be coming back for the full menu - and I'm sure it is even more beautiful in the summer.
There Covid Protocol is amazing. So much social distancing. The food is so delicious.
Starter plate portion was real disappointing. Rather go with regular menu over Dine-out menu. Not worth $$ but service was excellent.
The whole evening was great. The food was the best we ever had. vegetables were not over done, the seafood was cook perfectly. it even came hot. hands down to the whole staff at the boathouse. IT was my valentine to my wife.
Ran out of an item at 4:30pm, which is a bit early I'd think.
Prices have jumped, and, we support that given COVID impact.
Overall, solid.

Valentine’s Day! It was a lovely first experience at the Boathouse for me and my boyfriend! They sat us near the fireplace which I requested. The lobster bisque was incredible and overall the food was all perfectly cooked. The wild rice was a bit bland but that was easily solved by the side of mushrooms we ordered. The fish on the mixed grill platter was all cooked perfectly as was the lamb on the lamb shank meal. The creme brûlée and mocha ice cream cake were both yummy too. Overall a lovely evening!
Wish there was more to select on the menu. Other than that it was good.
Great atmosphere, food and service! Highly recommend for couples and families
