Exceeded our expectations. Local swordfish cut in house and grilled to perfection. Very friendly and interactive waitstaff. Casual Pub like setting. Windows overlook the waterfront. Not crowded when we were there so conversation was easy.

You’ve got to stop here. Met the chef- his oyster Rockefeller’s are Great and we shared a special inch salad to try to be healthy and offset the shrimp and grits. A local favorite and now my favorite. If you have anything have the shrimp and grits and a martini. Just fabulous. We sat at a window and watched the great container shops move slowly down the river. They were moving slow. In fact one martini to pass is by. Better order another! Ray

Waiter was very attentive and patient with us when we realized we needed/wanted more food, even at the late hour of 8:30. Food was great and was served quickly. Location was within walking distance to our hotel and near a yummy candy store for dessert. Overall a great choice.

Came to Savannah for a weekend getaway and went for dinner one night here. We LOVED our food and the casual atmosphere. Views onto the water and you can go for a nice date or fun relaxed dinner. We are going back from lunch !

I cook better at home with real potatoes not instant. I also season my veges. Although the fried green tomatoes were perfect texture, they were blank and tastless. I'll never go back, not can recommend for any reason.

The service and atmosphere was fine. I felt that there was a disconnect between the descriptions and the actual food that came out. Not from the description but the quality. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp - bacon was undercooked and barbecue sauce wasn't anything special. I didn't notice any hint of peach. The lettuce in the caesar salad was warm and definitely not crisp. My daughter enjoyed her filet but her vegetable was drowned in oil. Overall, I thought the food was highly overpriced for the quality. I wouldn't go back.

Great find in Savanah. The best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had by far. My wife had the fish of the day and said the swordfish was amazing also. Will definitely go back when I’m in Savanah. Best meal we had in Savanah.

We were early for our reservation but we're seated immediately. Very attentive - but not overly so - staff kept the meal moving without rushing. Very friendly, and the food was terrific!

Great find on Riverfront. Best Shrimp and Grits I've ever had!! The bar is quaint and has a nice view of the river. Reasonable for the area and food far exceeds other restaurants on the water. Will definitely come back on my next visit to Savannah!

Had a wonderful dinner - sat by the window and could watch the river at night! Food was excellent, service was top-knot her (our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly, and just about the nicest person I’ve ever met!) and it’s a really cool old building with a lot of history. This is our first visit to Savannah and there are so many amazing food choices - but we’re glad we chose Boar’s head. It was laid-back, friendly, and casual.

We were very promptly seated by a window. Our server was fantastic! She kept checking on us throughout our meal. My filet was perfect, as was the baked potato! My husband had the ribeye, and he said it was great! Creme brûlée for dessert was outstanding! Loved our dinner there!

We had dinner on a prior visit to Savannah and remembered enjoying this restaurant. Once again it did not disappoint with excellent food and service. We were seated by a window overlooking the river and everything was perfect. We will be back in our next visit to this beautiful city.

My boyfriend and I had reservations for our anniversary, and could not be any more pleased with the service we had. It was absolutely amazing service by our waiter, also what seemed to be the owner, amazing food; all around an absolutely amazing experience. We are from Ohio and since we have been home, we have spoke very highly about this restaurant and recommended it to many friends and family.

Our group had so looked forward to returning to Boar's Head for dinner on our yearly trip to Savannah. It's unfortunate that I have to say we were disappointed in our meal, but we were. As usual, service was fantastic, and we do love the ambiance of this restaurant. All of us ordered the filet mignon. Mine was cooked as ordered, but two in our party were not that fortunate. However, the worst part of the meal was that three of us were served loaded baked potatoes that were absolutely terrible -- so overcooked that even the toppings were "glued" together. Sad to say, we will not be returning on next year's visit. I do want to say that the service was exemplary, and what's not to love about the setting and general feel of the restaurant. Perhaps this was just a bad night, but it did leave a less than favorable impression, and with so little time to spend in such a lovely city we don't care to chance a bad meal there again.
