Great food (we had shrimp and grits and the stuffed shrimp), great atmosphere and our server, Katherine, was outstanding!
Lovely restaurant and food was good. Service was outstanding.
The special for the night was swordfish. It was delicious!!
My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and Boar’s Head did not disappoint. The shrimp and grits I had was heavenly. My wife said that her swordfish was delicious, as well. The desserts were just as good. We’ll definitely be returning upon our next visit to Savannah.
Loved our table! Food was good. Didn't care for the crab cakes.
We enjoyed our dinner here very much. My husband had the fried shrimp dinner and he said they were very light.
I enjoyed their shrimp and grits. It was the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever tasted including those from New Orleans. Next time we are in Savannah, we will definitely eat here!
Ambience was very nice. Waiter was very attentive. Food was very tasty. Price was fair. I would definitely recommend.
Food was delish and service was great. Best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had
Guaranteed excellent dining experience. Food in particular favorites like shrimp and grit or pork chop is consistently exquisite.
Good food and good service!
I’m really pleased with our meal, especially the bacon wrapped shrimp! Delicious. We had stuffed shrimp and Red snapper...so good! I’m grateful that we were able to get a reservation and our service was awesome! We will return on our next visit to Savannah.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Great service. We had a great time.
For sure have the shrimp and grits. Shrimp cocktail was 5 small shrimp but still were very good. Our waitress was fantastic. All the wait staff was super friendly. Our favorite place thus far
Great!! Food and service. Go there!
Great food and wine
Great waiter and swordfish amazing
We were on vacation looking for some where for dinner and this was a perfect location. Good and service were great.
On vacation, it was my husbands birthday. I picked it off a list of places from a google search. So glad I did. My husband said the steak was excellent. I got the shrimp and grits at the servers suggestion. It was amazing. I’m not from the south and was nervous about trying grits. So glad I did. If we lived closer it would be a regular on our list of places to eat.
The food and service was excellent. We would recommend this restaurant.
One word; awesome! Shrimp and grits are a must try.
Really enjoyed our Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer and Shrimp and Grits entree. Daughter enjoyed her grilled swordfish. Loved being near a window and watching large ships go by. Our waiter was very gracious and attentive.
Amazing food! Great service! Staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend the shrimp and grits!
Food and service were very good!
Great atmosphere. Waitress was very outgoing and knowledgeable. Food was outstanding. We both had the swordfish special and it was among the best we've ever had.
Food was good. Service was good. Enjoyed
Second time there in 7 years, just as good as before in all ways!
One of our favorite places to visit.
Food, service and ambiance always top notch.
We ordered the Bacon wrapped barbecued shrimp, ribeye, and Mediterranean chicken salad.
Delicious... Bread pudding is a must try!
The service and speed of receiving food and drinks was outstanding. The quality of the lunch was great. I will go back and encourage others too as well.
Food was good. Server seemed rushed and flustered. Not the dining experience we expected.
Great experience with a little history from the owner!
Everything was fine and nothing really stands out. Great location.
The food if was delicious and our server Anthony was awesome! I would highly recommend this establishment!
The small iPad they gave us with menu items was very dirty. Clearly had not been cleaned in a while which is unacceptable in the age of Covid. I needed to clean my hands after handling it. I ordered the beef brisket which was very good. My husband ordered a pork chop that was so tough the steak knife could not cut it. They removed it from the bill. The buttermilk biscuits were a disappointment. The ones you get from the freezer department in the grocery store are better.
Nice location and view of the Savannah River and quaint decor. Food was good and menu offered a variety of choices.
Service was good- food was just OK. Very dark in room where they put us- almost felt like a basement.
Everything on the menu menu was delicious! Good value and large portions. Waitress was spot on. I got she-card soup and rib steak.
I am from the gulf coast so quality seafood is what i know . The food was exceptionally good . The shrimp and grits is the best i have ever had . The wait staff was also excellent as they were knowledgeable in the menu and drink selection.
Great food and cool vibe.
We went here because of the history of the building. It was very difficult to navigate with my mom and her walker.
The people were very nice. Except for our waitress not very attentive. Dump and run service.
The food was not good She crab soup was bland. Fried green tomatoes hard and thick. Hubby ordered lamb and it was too rare and flavor off.
I really don't like giving bad reviews but this was not good.
I expected to be better based on reviews. Crab cake sandwich dry and very small portion. Grilled chicken over spinach. Chicken was tasty, but salad underwhelming.
