BO-beau kitchen + roof tap
Awesome food, great service!
The food is always good, the menu lax variety, it is a little bit tougher for a vegetarian at this restaurant. The atmosphere is great.
Service was outstanding and very friendly. We were there on Father's day and the restaurant was slammed. Fortunately we had reservations and got a wonderful booth table. Despite straining to accommodate a full house, all of the staff, including our server - Andre who had moved to the area from Kansas City only a few short weeks prior - were real pros. The food was spectacular too. The flash fried Brussels sprouts with pancetta and asiago are a must-have appetizer. The salmon was perfectly medium-rare as requested; the roast duck breast with faro was to-die for; and the flat bread was fresh-baked, super cheesy and potatoey, with house-made sausage that was downright floral in the best, most sausegy way possible. The wine list too is perfectly curated to pair with the menu. Our glasses of a Bordeaux blend was perfect with the duck and affordable too. We ordered way too much and took leftovers home. Leftovers-lunch the next day was crazy good. We will be dining here for sure next time we are in Long Beach.
Went there for Father's Day as it is been one of my favorite restaurants in the past. As usual, the service was great. Only disappointment was the menu. Nothing exceptional was offered and the choices seemed bland and boring. Would have been nicer to have a more options than the standard Sunday fare.
Excellent customer service! Accommodated my requests for a drink that wasn’t on the menu. Ambiance was great and food is delicious. Would recommend.
The roof top is nice for a view and appetizers but it is more of a young crowd/party atmosphere. The dining room is well appointed - it is rather dark so you will need you phone to see the menu. The brusselsprouts are very good as it is their house specialty. The charcuterie board was also flavorful. Unfortunately, the "customer favorite" beef bourguignon was not. 90% of the meat was mostly fat, the carrots overcooked and the mashed potatoes bland. One in our company had the duck and seemed to fair better. The wine list is not very exciting and pricey. If there was a "maybe" as to recommending this, I would have selected that button rather than yes.
We came here to celebrate my mother's 56th birthday with the family and everything was amazing. The food was delicious, we shared the brussel sprouts (highly recommend) and the crab cakes for appetizers. The cocktails we all had were great. The food was even better! Andrew was a phenomenal waiter! I would give him 10 stars if possible!
One of my favorite place. Wish they have escargot on the menu like before.
Our waiter was great for being new!!!
Our server (I believe his name was Aaron) was attentive to us. Great options on the menu. We LOVED the Brussel sprouts AND Popcorn. I would absolutely go back!
We had a lovely meal with or server Lindsey. She took great care of us, making sure we felt like we were getting personal attention even with the large party she was also managing that evening. She even surprised is with a complimentary dessert. We were visiting for a family wedding, and will definitely be back to BO-Beau next time we're in Long Beach.
This was our 2nd time here. We really like the surrounding area and the Brussels sprouts but this was the 2nd time the order was not correct. We specially asked for no cheese on our Brussels sprouts and each time we ordered it, it did not come out correctly. I do not blame our waitress, she was super sweet and attentive. I totally blame the kitchen. This was the 2nd time ordering this and the order came out wrong. We have a dietary restriction where we can not have cheese and explain this to our waitress and she was very understanding. Once our order came out again with out cheese, it looked like half the Brussels sprouts were wiped out and we barley had any appetizers to enjoy. Also, due to dietary restrictions, just picking off the cheese is not the way to ensure we got our order as requested. A brand new order should have been made correctly by the kitchen. Not happy about our food experience.
Seating area was so-so. Am curious about the bo-prefixed menu items. Will have to try those if I go back. The rooftop bar is a fun area, perhaps more appropriate unless you are aiming for a romantic or more “serious” occasion.
Cool location/vibe. We were a table of three. The place was mostly empty, yet all our food came out at different times, so we didn't really eat together. It was tasty tho. Fairly expensive for the amount of food we finally got. The upstairs bar looked like it could be a cool hangout. Cant imagine good service when this place is busy.
Comfortable table, nice ambience, and professional waitstaff. HOWEVER, we were informed that they were out of five items on the menu so we ordered other items. Salads were ok, meat dishes were expensive but fine, and two of us ordered bouillabaisse which each consisted of three shrimp, one scallop, and lots of potatoes. Unacceptable. We informed the manager who took them off our bill, but, this restaurant is part of the Cohn Restaurant Group and we expected a better dining experience. We won’t be back.
Great place and food. It is a wonderful place for a date or a night out with friends.
I went here with my family and our waitress Lindsey was OUTSTANDING. She was attentive and a total joy to meet. The ambiance is nice in here and it's perfect for a fancy family dinner or a date night.
Overall we had a very nice dinner, however a couple things to note. The restaurant was not busy when we came in and we had reservations, yet they took 6 minutes to seat us. The portions were a bit on the small side, however we did split the main course so that should be factored in. The food was DELICIOUS!!! We would probably go back and try the roof Tap Menu and do the rooftop for a different vibe. BEST thing about the restaurant was that is had great atmosphere!
Food and service was very good.
Due to construction of the restaurant it can be a bit loud but would not stop me from going there again.
I love this French restaurant! The ambience and food are exceptional. Especially the ratatouille! We enjoyed celebrating our birthday here. We will be back!
Would come back again. The food was great, not the very best French food I’ve ever had but definitely good quality. The service was good but not great- it felt like they were rushing us through. Our server (and all the staff) was very nice and attentive, but our entree’s came out immediately as we finished our appetizer, and they brought the desert menu before we had finished our entree. Probably nothing a little training can’t resolve.
Beautiful industrial decor inside (we did not make it to the roof top bar which seemed pretty popular), but if you want a booth you need to request it ahead of time. We thought the service overall was excellent. Our waiter recommended the Brussel sprouts appetizer which was outstanding, but mind you it was huge, came out piping hot with loads of fat cut panchetta. We also had the calamari which was good, not amazing. I shared a burger with my husband which was quite yummy, I really like the bun they used and the meat was lean and flavorful. My friend had the carrot and beet salad she loved, the fries were thin and excellent. My only complaint was the wedge salad dressing was really salty, it also had panchetta but it wasn’t what was causing the extreme saltiness. Get the dressing on the side would be my recommendation. That was the only negative, so if we are up in Long Beach again, would definitely come back.
Meh! An individuals preference.
Crab Mac and Cheese was very disappointing
Salmon was too salty. Wagyu burger didn’t taste as juicy as expected. Brussel sprouts were delicious. Not recommended for taking parents who have really high dining standards.
We will come again! the food was amazing, and the service too. A little too much noisy for us...but still worth it.
LOVE this restaurant, mainly because they serve dishes that you don't see on every restaurant menu. Their food is cooked well, and is very flavorful. We ate here a year ago (also during the Long Beach Grand Prix weekend), and it was again a busy night. The portions seem to be bigger this year than last year, and everything was tasty, plated beautifully, and well-priced. The service is always spot-on, so nothing to complain about (oh, maybe the 4% mandatory service charge on top of the standard gratuity). We will be back. Our group recommends the filet with crab, chicken fricasse, beef bourginone, duck breast, short ribs, bone marrow, wedge salad, and OF COURSE the amazing brussel sprouts...yum!! This year they had a guy with a guitar singing and he sounded great. He was a little loud which made it difficult to have a convo with the person a couple seats away, but we enjoyed the live entertainment.
Shannon is the best! Stellar service for our private party of 20. Definitely went above and beyond to make my fiance's birthday dinner fun and enjoyable. Needed to fix something on the cake we brought and she made it happen. Was happy with all of her recommendations. Loved the character of the interior / main dining hall. Was seated in the back by the fireplace so we were comfortable and cozy all night. The live music was really good too. Overall a great experience and would love to come back.
Neither out waiter or the bar tender could answer our questions about THEIR drinks on the menu. The waiter legit rolled his eyes at us and then was horrible service thru out. Ordered the marg flat bread and I have had toaster struddles that tasted better. The only redeeming thing was the brussel sprouts. We left and finished dinner at a different spot
Came here with a group of six for dinner the other night. It was a Friday at 7pm it was neither empty nor packed.
Sat upstairs for it seemed like a more interesting vibe and I had been there before.
Service upstairs was scattered. Delays on order drinks, no settings when food was served and one entree (a salmon salad) came out 45 minutes after the other mains.
Food menu is limited to upped bar food, you can’t order from the full menu downstairs on Friday or Saturdays.
Overall it was very meh. For drinks it is a good place to play games and chill, for a dinner you are probably better off downstairs.
Not only was the food phenomenal and the ambiance outstanding, but our server Lindsey was probably the best server we've had in years (if not ever). She was so attentive and personal - we can't wait to go back.
Nice outing for a date night with the hubby. Had pre-dinner drinks upstairs overlooking DTLB which was cool. Ambiance and food in the main dining room was a nice end to the evening.
Great experience, attended happy hour from 4:30 to 6:30. Great food and drinks- I would recommend this restaurants to my friends and family.
Yummy banana bread pudding
Fantastic experience, hosting a small party at this venue. Flexible and accommodating staff, beautiful decor, delicious food!
Everything was great at Bo Beau! From the service to the food to the ambiance...we had a great time and will definitely be back. Chase was our server and he was fabulous!
Birthday dinner. The waiter was wonderful!
Overall a great evening with a large group of people. Staff and service were very good. Will definitely consider hosting important clients at this restaurant.
The service was awful. We waited 20 minutes to get our drinks and there was 4 of us and 1 drink was a soda water which they forgot to bring limes to us twice. For the price and the level of service we won't be back.
