Staff was understanding of different arrivals times for guests in our large group; superior service from walking in to walking out. Food was delicious & menu + wine list variety accommodated the various age groups of our party.
Birthday dinner. Food so so. My prime rib ( special that night) came out barely Luke warm. I sent it back and it came back a bit more than Luke warm. Disappointing.
Cute mini birthday cupcakes served. That was nice touch.
The venue was very classy and timeless, and the food/drinks were delicious. The noise level is higher on the weekends, but perfect place for any dinner.
Cool steampunk-type decor. It's dark, so not ideal for those with vision issues. I arrived at 6 on a Thursday and nearly had the place to myself. Lobster bisque was ok but didn't taste enough like lobster to please me.
Great food, beautiful interior design, hardworking staff!
The food was good, but the service was better. We had an issue with one food item and they promptly replaced it. The server and manager went above and beyond to check on us. It was great, i'll be back again.
Great food, our reservation for four was accommodated immediately. Great drinks, great beer. Perfect for a date.
Researched restaurant on yelp. Made reservations for my friend birthday. Place was great. Had a great time and had a great server Tyler. Will definitely go again.
Great food, and ambiance. Everyone on staff was great except Taylur (our server).
Our first time there. Everything was great! Food was delicious, great selection and incredible service from Jacob. Definitely will return.
Was in town for a trade show and came into bo-beau for dinner. Great service, friendly staff and delicious food.
Triple date with friends. Drinks and food were great. Crowded upon arrival but was able to capture a table about 10 min after arriving. It's lively and fun.
We planned an early dinner before a concert at a local venue.
My party of four all agreed this restaurant had flare! My eyes were drawn to the dramatic bar area with stunning gold barstools... beautiful design! We were happy to get seated in a booth and enjoyed drinks & amazing appetizers (the brussel sprouts were fab!)
Our entrees were artfully presented but most importantly were soooo good!!
We will definitely plan to return to delightful Bo Beau!
Went here for date night and got here a little early so we went to the rooftop for a beer. Rooftop was cool had more of a chill vibe. Nice big bar and lots of seating. They texted us that our table was ready and sat us right behind the podium at a table. We had hoped for a better seat then that. We sat down and browsed the menu and waited a while to be greeted. The server came over and said he would be right with us. We waited a little bit longer and decided to leave being that we didn’t like our seat and server took too long. We went across the street and ate At George’s Greek Restaurant which had no waiting and amazing food.
I love Bo-Beau, but tonight didn't meet their normal quality. I'll keep coming back for more though. The service was great. It seemed like the Valentine's Day Prix fixe was just too ... average.
The crudo garnish was starchy and bland and took away from the salmon. The filet was well cooked and flavorful. However the egg wasn't cooked properly or seasoned to be cohesive with the steak. The lobster was seasoned well, but was so tiny and dry that it was off putting. It didn't need to be there. The shortbread was a tad dry and mealy. The panna Cotta was pretty good.
The food was good, but I've come to expect great from them. Next time.
We had a great Valentine’s Day dinner. When we arrived we were seated right away. They had a set menu that was great for us. The drinks were great and the staffs service was absolutely wonderful. Next time we want to go to upstairs as the server told us it’s a must try for sure.
THis was my 2nd time here and I was disappointed, I wasn’t too happy the 1st time but thought I’d try it again. The menu changed within 2 weeks and the prices are pretty outrageous. Also there is an additional service charge of 3%. The ambiance was awkward the entire restaurant was empty and the hostess sat us all the way in the back where the chefs were talking so loud I could hear their entire convo. The drinks were good but so full of ice that it felt like i took 2 sips. This place is def a happy hour or rooftop spot only. I would not recommend this place for dinner. It’s very nice, well kept, food was good but I still feel like it’s missing the mark. I don’t really get the theme and the menu. Seems over complicated.
It was great!
We had a great night on the roof top. Great service and drinks with live music!
The food is amazing! The service was good. It is a little pricey though. Dinner for 2 with drinks and a shared dessert was $105 plus $20 tip.
It was our first time and we made reservations online. When we got there we saw they had a second floor and decided to try it out first. Definitely love the upstairs! Great and friendly people and had a lot of awesome beers to choose from. Coming back soon!!!!
Bo-beau consists of two stories with completely different atmosphere and experience -- the first floor, "kitchen" part had a formal dining feel, and the "roof tap" portion was more low key bar with live music and TVs. Next time, we would completely skip the kitchen, and head straight to the roof tap. The service at the kitchen was not good as our server continuously rushed us, removing plates and glasses that we were still working on. We had better experience at the roof tap where the service was much better, the food was as good if not better and the atmosphere more relaxed.
A lively and fun option among the many in Long Beach. The food and service is good.
Love Bo-beau. Food is delicious and service is immpecable.
The food was good, I can see why their Brussels sprouts are a must try. However the overall experience was not so great. Rude waitress and bouncers for the rooftop bar.
We asked to be seated at the Rooftap/bar lounge area and the atmosphere was casual and friendly.
The handcrafted cocktails were well designed and innovative.
The menu was quite diverse and the food items were tasty and served hot.
The service was a bit disjointed --- from our server to the food-runners. When there is this type of gap astride more than one division of the staff, then it points to a managerial issue. Perhaps some additional in-service training from top to bottom would be beneficial.
All in all, a good venue and deserve another visit to the restaurant area for another comparison.
Coolest architecture. Great food.
When reserving on Open Table, I clicked on the box stating Special Occasion (birthday). The restaurant did not acknowledge so I’m not sure if it was an oversight on their end or it didn’t come through on the reservation. However, it still was an excellent restaurant choice.
Good food and service...the flat bread and brussels sprouts were excellent...was not a fan of the 3% restaurant service charge on top of bill. I asked and was informed the charge does not go to the service staff
We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant both the ambience and the quality of the food. Highly recommend
Amazing a must try as a matter of fact I’m going back tonight.
Overall Bo Beaus is a fun place and the food is good. Unfortunately, we had Taylor as our server and he was not happy to be there. We were his first customers of the evening not sure why he was not friendly at all. Maybe he is just a dry person. I had asked about an item on the menu and he suggested I not order it because it had no taste. I was afraid to order despite his recommendations because he would be upset at me.
The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance and decor. However, we were disappointed with the food. We paid $40/person for a steak and the fish wasn’t prepared very well at all
For a cozy experience ask for a booth. Easily can handle group dinners too. I've eaten here several times and am never disappointed.
Took our relatives to Bo-Beau's for dinner Christmas Eve dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Food was wonderful, drinks (lemon drop and cosmo) were delicious along with red wine (Meiomi). Our server, Shannon, was excellent. The atmosphere and décor are very interesting. Our relatives want to return on their next trip to Long Beach.
We used to love coming here. The menu was recently changed. Not much ch variety and all of the food we ordered was bland. Best thing we ate was the burger but even that was not bery good considering the price. Brussel sprouts are still good but the pork was terrible. We couldnt even finish it.
I don’t know if it was just an off night but the food was just ok... the Brussels sprouts were great and such a large portion. My dad and I had the burger and the bun was really dry. I didn’t even finish it. The restaurant is beautiful though. And maybe there are better things on the menu. I wouldn’t go again.
