Blvd Tavern - Kansas City
Our menu changes frequently and focuses on seasonal ingredients. We prepare everything on our menu from scratch, from the buttermilk biscuits at brunch to the hand cut fries on our daily grind burger. We offer weekday lunch, dinner six nights a week, and Sat-Sun Brunch.
Our dining room is a mix of brick and reclaimed wood (we even have wood from a barn the owner's great-grandfather built on the family farm in 1902). Our quaint patio is one of Kansas City's best kept secrets.
We went before a concert and they were very helpful getting us our meals so we wouldn’t be late. There were 6 of us. Everyone loved their meal
The food was great and so was our server!!! We loved the mimosas and thought that the restaurant was super cute!
It was my sons bday dinner. We had a wonderful dinner and our server was excellent. He provided great recommendations and was a lot of fun! Hand crafted drinks were awesome. Loved the ambiance.
Food was delicious and server was attentive. The biscuits and gravy full order was huge, so I would definitely only do half next time or share. No salt, pepper or sweetener on the table so we had to request all of those things individually. Overall good experience and we’ll be back for another brunch.
Great food and nice menu selections. Alexus was fun and did a great job of making our visit fun and memorable.
Was seated in the overflow area which seems to double as a storage area. It was quiet, but just did not feel like it was part of the restaurant with a tablecloth covered folding table. Service was good and accommodating as we were going from dinner to a show at the Kaufman
My friends and I came here for restaurant week and before coming we were so excited . Unfortunately it was a let down first the customer service from our waitress was non existent. She treated us with a very uncaring attitude which the whole table noticed . Once she realized we were spending more money then just a few happy hour drinks she changed her attitude . Not cool. Second my friends liked their meals but the shrimp and grits were not fully cooked and it just wasn’t that good. I hate leaving bad reviews but we were so disappointed in how we were treated that we definitely won’t be returning unfortunately.
My best girlfriends and I went to BLVD TAVERN to begin our KCRW annual tradition! Food was incredible! The flavor of gravy on the poutine was out of this world, the limb crab paired with the avocado toast was to die for no complaints on any of the food, or the company 😉😍
The food was bland and th server was rude although her attitude improved as her area got busier.
Great assortment of food for restaurant week! Delicious!
Really great food for restaurant week! All 6 of us enjoyed what we ordered.
There were lots of good options available. Definitely going to this place again!
Bloody Mary was small for the price.
We attended an event at the Kauffman Center and drove down Broadway to the restaurant. It was restaurant week and we chose Blvd. Tavern because of its location and the variety of food choices. The food was delicious. I got the chicken and although it looked a little overcooked, it wasn't. It was moist and well seasoned. Loved the decor! A little modern but left the ambience of the original building.
Great service, nice atmosphere, large meal portions.
Great food! Can’t wait to try more entrees. Also, they have a ‘himosa” with miller high life and orange juice which is a hidden gem!!!
This place never disappoints!!
We were seated in the back room, much quieter than the main restaurant. Food was as phenomenal as expected. Service was laid back and matched our unhurried desires.
Excellent early evening dining for appetizers and dessert.
Gathered for birthday brunch. And did bottomless drinks— they ran out of punch, luckily our waitress prorated the drink cost, but that was very annoying! Food was BOMB!
Food was decent but service was excellent. Bottomless mimosas were refilled very promptly.
We ate here a week night on our way to a theatre night. We don't usually make a reservation but since it was close to the holidays, we did, giving me the opportunity to review. We like to come here. It's casual but they pay attention to food and drink. I've seen families eating here and seen after work parties here. This week we had the cheese curds because my companion gets fussy if he doesn't get them. Then i had the pecan -crusted trout and he had the shrimp and grits, which he also loves. I've never had a bad meal here. Never. They make a good traditional Manhattan and have interesting wines by the glass. Service is professional and prompt. Parking can be a challenge, depending on the time you go. But the food and drink is worth it.
Great food, great drinks, and loved the service! Have already recommended to a friend.
Cream of mushroom soup is back!!!!
Our service was great. I got the hamburger which was dry and lacked some flavor. Everyone else’s food was good they said. I’ll go back and try something different.
Best Rueben in town!!
Amazing food. Loved the drinks and atmosphere. As others have stated, service was good but just a few interactions with various staff were less than stellar.
Loved the environment and the food is amazing!!
I’ve been here a handful of times now and have never been disappointed.
Because it is an American menu, I feel that the food is accessible to everyone. The ingredients are fresh and high quality. It is obvious the food is prepared by people who take pride in their craft.
The drinks are also top-notch. Some really delicious and refreshing cocktails as well as a long list of beers.
I’ve recommended this place to a number of friends as well and they have all enjoyed the food as well as the service.
Simply good food, good service and a nice range of Whiskeys. You can not go wrong here.
Brunch is a happening event on Sundays. Good food, great atmosphere, but be prepared to endure a good deal of noise. Bottomless mimosas were great value!
Great food and service! A bit pricey on food and drinks but then again - so is everywhere else. Would definitely go back!
The brunch menu is good, though it could use an update. Making a reservation seems pointless. I could only get a table for 4 at 10:30 but the whole of the restaurant was seemingly empty at 11 till when we left.
We had a great server. We were in the back room which was quiet
Great food and drinks at happy hour prices. Free parking across the street
It was Sunday evening so quiet but we had to wait a while for our food. The food was very good. We will eat here again.
We had reservations for 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Upon arrival they had our table set and ready for us with menus. Our waitress was Taylor, with a wonderfully Pleasant attitude and a beautiful smile.
The biscuits and gravy with eggs was outstanding. As was the French toast.
The bottomless mimosa was icing on the cake.
We arrived in time to order Happy Hour items. The food was good and the Happy Hour items reasonably priced. We had a great server. She paced our soup, salad and entree items well so that we didn't get all of our food at once. She was attentive, but not pushing us to hurry or too talkative.
Servers seemed very nice but serious delays in meal service. Waited >45 minutes for brunch to be served. French toast was good but scrambled eggs were undercooked. Fresh fruit was very disappointing- a large bunch of red grapes, some sliced oranges and grapefruit, etc. that looked like fruit garnishes for cocktails.
Busy Saturday. Our waitress was a little distracted, somewhat un-attentive, but efficient in splitting up the bill for a group. Candle in dessert was nice touch but would have been nicer if there was a free dessert for birthday girl.
Food was very good. Wine choices were decent. Will come back.
Excellent brunch with bottomless mimosas. Really enjoyed the chilaquiles and biscuits & gravy.
