About this restaurant

  • Great for scenic views
  • Neighborhood gem
  • Good for special occasions
We opened The 3rd BluWater Bistro location in the Leschi neighborhood on March 13, 2004. Mick McHugh handed the reigns over to us after 22 successful years of running the Leschi Lake Café. With a slight remodel we cozy'd up the place, added some fantastic rollback windows, high back booths, some flat screen TV's, and leather furniture by the fireplace. The menu reflects all the goodness that a cozy bistro should offer, including the ever famous & popular "Lake Side Café" Fish and Chips... gotta keep the neighborhood happy. Stop in for some brunch on the weekends or some late night food.

It was Mother’s Day & very busy which made the great service even more impressive. Food was flavorful and well presented. Will definitely come back.

My mom wanted her salmon well done and it was medium rare. We weren’t given bread w/ oil, just bread and butter and that was after asking.

It was Mother’s Day so it was very busy! We had a reservation, and were seated at a make-shift table (which was metal outdoor furniture brought inside, with metal outdoor chairs), that was set up where they normally have a pool table. We were right next to the doors to the kitchen, in between the bar and the walk-way. No windows :( The food was pretty good, and the service was decent. Pretty disappointed with where we were seated and the table set up though :(

Had a reservation but the didn’t appear to need my info, ok fair enough. Host started walking off with menus without looking back and the three groups up front weren’t sure who was she was intended to take to their table. I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t have noticed if no one followed her and simply dropped menus on a table, clearly didn’t want to be there, also fair enough jobs suck sometimes for people new to working. The tone was set however once we sat down, there was garbage all over the floor, much of it you could tell had probably been there awhile. My 5yo got a coloring page but no crayons, they were able to hunt down a single dirty lady crayon after a trip up front, there maybe five kids in the place so not sure how they could be out on mother’s day. Wife’s Quiche was soupy raw to the point of safety concern. The server was really nice and really sweaty. While eating we watched nice family after nice couple get sat at tables not yet bussed, the table they sat this older couple at looked so clearly untouched from the previous diners it felt disrespectful. I don’t typically leave reviews, esp not negative ones because I hate being negative. In this case however, when there’s enough issues I’m apologizing apologies for taking someone out to brunch, it feels worth mentioning something.

The BluWater's Mother's Day Brunch was excellent! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner items were available all day, which made the meal most delicious and enjoyable.

The view is nice. The restaurant was a bit chilly with all the doors and windows open. Food was ok, but a bit overpriced for the quality. Service was good.

What a great view, but the food isn't edible. Good spot for a drink but we would not recommend this restaurant for food.

Great location, multiple seating areas. Staff was terrific. Food is always good, solid, fresh, with a few interesting items that show up on the specials. I should eat here more often! One of my favorite places in Seattle, even after 40 years of eating out on an expense account.
