BluWater Bistro - Leschi
The king crab dinner on Wednesday’s is absolutely amazing! Highly recommend!
They advertised 8 oz lobster tail, the shell most like came from an 8oz, the meat was more like 3, very disappointed. The server, Ashley was et, as was the view.
We were there for Mother's Day and it was busy, so VERY noisy. Food was stellar especially my salmon. Cooked to perfection. The service was mediocre at best and that seems to be the norm other than at the bar.
Place was packed but still food and service excellent.
One draw back we reserved to be outside but was taken straight to a booth
This time my food was not good I only ate one of my pancakes and wanted to go but it was Mother’s Day
Always a great experience here, thank you for accommodating us for Mother's Day!
We had a reservation for brunch on mother’s day and really enjoyed the morning. It was busy, of course, but our server was fantastic. I loved not being rushed. It’s a very noisy venue which is great with three little ones (who are actually very well behaved, we received several random compliments on their behavior!). Not great for conversation in a larger group, be forewarned! The food is good, reliable, not excellent. I had crab eggs Benedict, one egg was overdone, the other perfect....but it was delicious. The best thing I ordered was a blackberry martini, scrumptious! The pancakes were lackluster, but huge and the French toast was delish but a small order, comparatively.
Mother’s Day. Service exceptionally slow. Server forgetful. Table number mix-up. Sat outside and weather was cold. Heater’s outside ineffective. Food was incredibly bland. Looked reheated. Tables and chairs poor quality. Not an enjoyable dining experience. Will not return. Will not recommend. Over-priced.
Love this place. It’s just very loud inside so sat outside. Great service. Halibut was unfortunately a bit over cooked but all in all a great dinner. So great to go when the weather is nice!
EXTREMELY disappointed in the fact that the menu was changed ONE DAY before our visit to eliminate prime rib, which I had been denied on our prior visit because it had “run out” (@ 6:30PM? That sounds like poor planning). This menu item is my favorite, and the main reason for the long drive from our home to Leschi. And please explain how you’re able to serve a prime rib sandwich, but not prime rib? It’s doubtful we’ll visit again, and we’ve been customers for many years. ☹️
BlueWater has been a long time favorite, and due to the location and in general friendly staff, it will continue to be. Breakfast/brunch continues to be really good, but dinner has not maintained the same level of quality they used to have. We sat outside on a beautiful sunny evening and had very little service. It was super busy inside so, not horrible, but not what I am used to experiencing here. The food was all rough. Curry muscles were a SUPER small portion and there was a huge "lump" of cooked cilantro in the middle of the bowl. Perhaps meant to to take up space it was not a positive addition, and we both like cilantro. Entree plates were both very dirty (greasy and fingermarks), fries were cold and old, and chicken for salad was "charred" past the point of flavor and was just burnt. I will come back, but will think twice about anything other than breakfast/brunch based on this experience.
Ive been here 3 times for brunch. The food is akways fresh and delicious and you cant beat the view of Lake Washington. Im an Eggs Benedict snob and their hollandaise sauce is top notch.
We have been coming to the BluWater Birstro for over 30 years. Back when it was the Leschi Cafe. We had our first date here in 1987. And come every year that we can for our "first date" anniversary. We loved it then and we love it now. The food is great and the staff is wonderful and fun. It's usually very quiet but can be loud when families are there. We will keep coming as long as it is physically possible.
Please don't change!!
The food was good. Our service was so-so...forgot things, not very attentive.
We have been to this restaurant before and had good experiences. This time was not a good experience. We were seated right away and provided water from a busboy then Waited over 2O minutes and no one came to take our order or provide coffee. We kept trying to get the attention of the waitress that seemed to be working the area. When she finally came to our table she said she wasn’t our waitress but she would help us. We felt like we were a burden to her. Won’t be going back again.
Have enjoyed meals here many times, but this occasion was a disappointment.
Was not given notice of the VERY limited menu and was extremely unhappy that we could not order Eggs Benedict. Our server was not very solicitous and did nothing to try and compensate for two very disappointed customers.
This is the second time in a few months that we have dined at BluWater. We love it. Great service and food excellent. Highly recommend.
Great place for brunch with friends. Beautiful waterfront location.
Excellent! I really enjoyed my first time experience at BluWater Bistro and so did my friends! We are looking forward to going back :)
Blue water is my go to spot for pretty much everything. Birthdays family time be time girls night out. It has the perfect on beyond view and no matter what your occasion or mood it will guarantee to fit it. The food and drinks are spectacular the service is wonderful!
Food and service were great. View of the lake was wonderful.
They need to refresh the interior -- chair was ripped, blinds were broken.
We did a staff happy hour here and had a great time. Good food and service!
Julie and the wait staff were fbulous for our group of 32. Made a special night even better!
Service was poor. Waited a long time for each course. They forgot our drink order. I said to the manager it was very hot and his reply was, "I'm not hot." Won't go there again.
Great service and the food was very good. Thanks.
Outstanding view. Food was quite good. Staff were attentive and helplful. Great dining experience
Fabulous food yummy; gracious service, we loved it. Will definitely come more often.....easy parking.
Arrived early for our reservation so we had time to look around. Awesome views if the water. My food was excellent however my wife's steak was undercooked. Dessert was superb. Our server was excellent. Attentive and great attitude.
The food and service was excellent. The restaurant's ambiance was fantastic. We are definitely going back!
Good food, service and a view!
Good neighborhood spot. Food is generally always good and the setting in Leschi is very pleasant. Some potential improvements: Wine list lacks full-bodied reds. Sometimes servers lack precise menu knowledge.
Best date night in a long time. We loved the attentive servers and hostess. Hard to find places without that Seattle attitude but this place was perfect. Totally what you would want good drink selection, great food and smiling people
We go to Blu Water - Leschi because it's close. The food is decent, the service reliable. I keep wanting to be 'wow'ed...but remember that's not why we come here. Perfectly servicable.
Would recommend with a caveat. The crab-stuffed Mahi Mahi was delicious as was the salmon entrée. Those were fantastic! Generous Caesar salad and enough to share for the whole table. The rib-eye steak was a big disappointment. We were not sure it was even a rib-eye. The cut was thin, the texture was too chewy and the meat was overcooked. It's a great neighborhood location with good parking and fantastic views of Lake WA.
We had a wonderful dinner here with friends and family to celebrate the end of our holiday. The service was fantastic and the food and drinks were great. I would highly recommend this venue.
Family from out of town were visiting and I wanted to take them to a nice place with a great view. We had a great time and the food was excellent. Highly recommend!
I have missed BluWater's fantastic salmon dish since their branch at Greenlake closed. My husband and I had an opportunity for a night out on New Year's Eve and I was happy to see that BluWater Leschi would be open that evening. I imagine it was louder than a usual night, as there was live music and lots of big tables but it was a fun and festive atmosphere. It was dark outside but it looked like the view would be amazing with some daylight. The food was very good. The spinach with the salmon could have been cooked a little more and it was a little short on the lemony sauce but the salmon was cooked perfectly. The highlight of the meal was the blackberry drop drink. I'm a fan of lemon drops but saw the blackberry drop on the menu and decided to give it a try - it was delicious! I had to recommend it to the next table after I heard the woman order a lemon drop. The BluWater is definitely a good option for special dinners out!
This is a cozy good food establishment. For New Years Eve, it was one of the few places that had open tables to reserve the day before. I feel this is a wonderful little known gem on Lake Washington. The service was very good and the food is simple and has always been consistently good. There is also a nice bar and lounge area that is very inviting and a great place to wait for your table.
