Absolutely love this place. The food and everything else is great here.
Food amazing, service amazing
Our experience at BluWater Bistro was outstanding in every way! We have already recommended it to several of our friends and will definitely be returning ourselves.
We were seated with a view of the kitchen, wait staff expediting tickets, in a corner. Probably the worst table possible. We had made reservations. For some reason our server changed mid meal with no explanation. Probably the end of a shift? It was very noisy. The prime rib dip sandwich was good and fairly priced and balanced the disappointing ambiance and service. I felt that they weren’t very interested in my business.
Terrible service! Waitress over charged on 2 occasions. Delays in bringing us the check. Poor food quality! Sad !!!
Very good Easter brunch! However, our waiter just had a little condescending attitude and lack of attention. This waiter has only been working there for less than 2-3 months. We’ve been coming here for the last 3 years and love the food and restaurant.
We have a reservation, but still waited for at least 45 minutes. I think we are not going to do any holidays there like Easter, but still go just for a regular day.
We went for Easter brunch and you could tell it was busier than they expected. They handled everything very well. The service was fantastic as well as the food. It was our first time there and I will definitely go back as well as recommend it it friends.
Had a great overall experience, everything was lovely.
Easter brunch! Amazing food and view! Definitely make it back again.
The table I was seated was not leveled. I ordered the French toast & was worried the syrup would spill off the plate onto the table & my clothes. I ended up using a napkin putting the plate on top to catch any syrup that might spill off the plate. Other than that, everything was ok.
Restaurant is on the water. Beautiful views of the water and mountains, however, they’ve expanded their outdoor seating to their parking lot. We saw cars. That was the view. It was freezing cold. We asked to have a heater turned on and it was, for about an hour. The kitchen was incredibly backed up. The clams we ordered were terrible. Barely open, stuck to the inside, little erasers. There was also about a dollar’s worth of clams in the bowl. We all ordered different things. One ordered a burger and asked for it to be cooked to medium/medium rare. It came well done. The ceviche was flavorless. The “house made” chips were cold and nearly stale. The tortillas on the tacos were cold by the time our food was served. The fries and fish and chips were fine. Nothing that couldn’t be purchased at a fast food restaurant or diner. The wait staff was over booked and not at all attentive. We asked to move inside because it was so cold and were told we would have to talk to the host. The host gave us blankets. One of our orders was wrong and when we told the wait staff they said, “I guess I’ll take it back then?” When one of our drinks didn’t come and we asked about it, the wait staff said, “sorry, I didn’t understand you”. The prices were ABSURD. The bill was twice what I thought it was going to be. Awful. We don’t plan to return.
Overserving was a problem. Intoxicated guests ruined the night.
Great food. Great view. The shrimp appetizer was plate licking good. And the bread pudding was oh so tasty and excellent!
NY steak was ok. It was a little overcooked.
Party next to us has verbal fight affecting overall mood.
Price for food was good. They did best to keep us COVID safe and warm during outdoor dinning.
outdoor patio set up was nice and quite warm. service was great but food was bland.
Always consistently a fantastic time at Blu Water. Wonderful selection of food offerings accompanied by a knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Basically a waterside bar with decently-done classic comfort food dishes. Pleasant and attentive servers. Nice experience overall.
Food was good and service was okay. I think our server was too busy with other guests and only came by our table to bring our drinks, take out orders and bring our foods
Great food and service, be sure to get a table with a water view.
They didn’t honor our reservation, which was outside. Instead they tried to seat us inside which we are still pretty uncomfortable doing. I gave them my number to call when a table outside opened up, but they never called.
I really enjoyed dinning at the BWB. With outdoor and indoor seating they can accommodate a number of parties without feeling too close to another party.
The view was great and so was all the food we had!
They served me raw chicken and their lighting was so poor I didn't notice til it was in my mouth. I showed it to the server. They left it on my bill. Still grossed out thinking about it. Can't imagine myself eating there again.
We had a wonderful evening. Our server was beyond attentive. The food was quite tasty. We ate on the deck and it was comfortable, though I get what people say about the chairs. The heaters are loud, but that is a small price to pay for enjoying a pleasant evening with friends.
Made reservations but they weren’t expecting us I guess…. And waited 10 minutes for a seat…. Timing on food did take a while but great service overall and will be back soon
Service wasn’t great. We had to flag down our waitress almost every time. All else was fine.
Definitely don’t order the roasted chicken. It was listed on the menu as roasted chicken prepared with a Demi glacé. In fact, it tasted like it was covered in a cheap bbq sauce. I don’t mind bbq chicken if I am expecting it, but I certainly wasn’t expecting it based on the menu description and if this was presented as bbq it would be the worse bbq I’ve ever had.
On the flip side, the ambiance of the restaurant is very nice and I’ve had seafood previously which was very good. I recommend this restaurant if you avoid the chicken.
Wry casual but consistent neighborhood place.
We went to Celebrate our 50th anniversary. I mentioned it when making my reservation. When we were being seated we were asked if we were celebrating something special. We said yes. After that no one mentioned it. Why ask if you are going to ignore it.
I ordered the rock fish. The fish was mealy and crust was not crisp. All in all not the celebration we wanted.
Enjoyed every minute. Service was great and attentive. It was also warm for being outside with made the dining experience more pleasant than I anticipated.
22 year anniversary dinner.
Made reservations, although the guy at the door didn't seem to care. We were seated right away, but in the reservations I asked for quiet seating by the fireplace or a fire pit.
Two servers on duty.
Seated next to a very loud table of six men. Cheap flimsy plastic chairs, very uncomfortable. Wish we had asked for indoor seating.
After being seated, it took about 15 minutes before we were waited on or asked if we'd like a cocktail. Not even water. We were about to get up and leave. I thought Blu Water presented bread & olive oil upon seating, but we weren't offered any so I must be mistaken.
Ordered a bottle of wine, appetizers and meals all at once since we had plenty of time to look at the menu.
After pouring the wine I noticed the server brought the wrong bottle, even though I pointed to it on the menu. We didn't make a fuss, we don't mind trying new wines and I hated to waste it.
Food was alright, nothing exceptional. Server started to be a little more attentive, and the loud table next to us was quieting down.
Wife & I decided not to stay for desert, the vibe in the atmosphere was not very welcoming.
Conversed with the restaurant manager on the way out. Nice guy. Very friendly and talkative. Chatted about motorcycles. I didn't say anything about the service or seating, wife and I were trying very hard to have a pleasant time and I didn't want to regress.
Next time we want to pamper ourselves with a quality dinner we'll probably go elsewhere; Daniel's Broiler maybe? Haven't been there for ages.
"Would you recommend BluWater Bistro - Leschi to a friend?" No.
The reason I say no is if the friend is looking for an intimate or elegant dinner, go elsewhere. If they want to hang at a corner bar, sure, head to Blu Water.
Love this restaurant. Great location, good food and awesome service always.
Great for evening cocktails and small plates with a view.
Fabulous restaurant! Our food was wonderful- excellent value compared to other restaurants. Very friendly servers!
Awesome service . Food was good and would love to go here again soon .
Awesome restaurant. Reservations don’t work well here though! So expect for long time waits whenever you make a reservation!
While our food was absolutely great and our server and runner were very polite and attentive, the front of house was a complete mess unfortunately and it really put a damper on the night.
Not sure if it's just getting used to operating during COVID, but when we arrived for our 7pm reservation, we had to stand in line for 15 minutes outside before getting the chance to check-in, which is when we, and many behind us, found out that the reservations weren't being used, it was just wait until you were at the front of the line and at some point a random staff member would seat you.
Hopefully they start honoring the reservation system and make checking in a better experience, I mostly felt awful for the people that had a reservation for more people earlier than us and didnt get seated till after.
This was really a nice surprise. I didn't know what to expect. I asked for warmest spot so hostess seated us outside next to firepit and a heater. It was nice and toasty. They had a good and varied menu and my friend and I had a lovely dinner and said we would be back.
Great food in their covered, heated, outdoor dining area! Staff were friendly and helpful.
