Try the new Fall menu especially the swordfish and scallop entrees. Both are delicious!
Fabulous cider sangria! Great shrimp tacos!
Excellent food and service!
excellent food and service. ambiance excellent. It was a Monday night and it was crowded. that is the sign of a great place
1st time dining there & was pleasantly surprised. We gathered with a group of friends we hadn’t seen in awhile & weren’t rushed at all. A wonderful evening.
Always a pleasure to dine at Bluestone. Excellent food and service. A restaurant run b y people who know what they are doing.
Our lunch was very nice. Good service and nice food.
Must have the Bluestone Salad- it has been my favorite for years. This place is always busy. Great service.
The server, Gabrielle, was wonderful. The presentation of the dishes were meritorious exceeded only by the taste..
The food was outstanding! Loved the firecracker salmon and happy that they were able to serve it with carrots and asparagus--no rice, since I am on a low carb diet. My husband and daughter loved the three course special they have on Sunday. I would recommend Bluestone for a special occasion.
A bit noisy, but otherwise wonderful. Food and service were great. Enough variety to choose from. A good date night.
There are no vegetarian options on the menu. Please add some! They are so easy and would make Bluestone more appealing to groups with varied preferences. The chef made some in our group a delicious vegetable stir-fry but it lacked protein and was not on the menu. The stir-fry would have been perfect with some diced tofu. Put it on the menu! Watch how many of your guests are delighted to see it. Thanks!
Noise level: energetic, as is a choice above, is a euphemism. Honestly, it was extremely loud. Overall, though, enjoyable (but we had to shout to be heard and that added to the noise level which made others need to shout to be heard which added more to the noise level and we had to shout louder and then others needed to shout louder . . .)
Reliable for very good food and service and ambiance. Strongly recommend.
The new Fall menu has swordfish and scallop entrees. Both were extremely delicious.
We like Bluestone: it is a go-to place for special occasions and to take friends. That is why this time was so disappointing. This was our second wedding anniversary and we had told the restaurant, but our server just seemed to want to hurry us along and get us out of there. Plonked down the menus, asked for our order before we had a chance to read them, then quickly came back again. No smiles, no welcoming, no sense of timing.
He brought our entrees when we were half way through the starters so we had to hurry or let them get cold (like his attitude). We had discussed having dessert but at this point we just wanted to get out of Bluestone, and went to the Charmery for ice cream.
The place is very nice. It’s definitely more so generated for an older crowd. I came tonight for dinner with a friend in hopes of getting the oysters but the waitress informed us the bought less than intended and a happy hour rush wiped them out for the night. So no oysters for me. I was very sad about this because my dinner wasn’t the greatest. If I’m in the area I’ll probably skip out on dinner again.
Our table was available in time. The wait staff was professional. The food was delicious. The Sunday menu offer a nice selection. I was all around very pleased.
Bluestone is a Favorite “Go to!” Our last visit was Saturday, 9/29/18, 8p.m. We knew by the Parking Lot and Lobby - it was packed! So glad we had a Reservation aa we were seated immediately. We were able to converse between the din, but we didn’t mind...we were together!
Our Waiter was most accommodating to any of our requests. His Recommendation from the Menu was Delicious, and a reasonable serving size!!
Great people watching (including a man with long sleeved plaid shirt, shorts and flip-flops!!). Go figure-it was pretty chilly that night.
Yes, we WILL return to Bluestone again! Never disappoints!?
Frequently have lunch at Bluestone with friends. The menu has a good variety of options and the food is always good. The staff is always friendly and accommodating.
We were celebrating our 5th year wedding anniversary and our friends recommended this restaurant. The atmosphere and service was great. The crabcakes were not huge but had little filler and were very good. The mashed potatoes were the best I've ever had. We will definitely go back.
Excellent food and service as always I would definitely recommend it
We have always enjoyed Bluestone. Their soups and creative salads are excellent. The Crisfield stew is a favorite. Whether for a business lunch or a family dinner, you have a broad selection of choices very well prepared
I love coming here for lunch. The food is great, as always, but at lunch you get a better value with the lunch menu
Nice atmosphere service and clean restaurant.
Birthday, but waiter forgot the surprise birthday cake.
I sure would like you to bring back the Italian Salad.
The food was great. The Service was splendid. The restaurant is too Damned Loud to hear a normal conversation.
I plead with them to put some sound deading materials in some rooms and between the party rooms and everything else.
The members of the Class of 1967 got tickled being seated at table 67! We enjoyed ourselves and will probably be back every 6 months or so!
My husband and I dined on a recent Saturday evening. The food was outstanding -- perhaps the most delicious scallops I've ever had. I've been before for cocktails/appetizers with clients, a baby sprinkle and lunch with friends. It has never disappointed. My husband hadn't been before we went to dinner -- we will definitely dine at Bluestone again! It was a busy evening, so it was a bit louder than I've experienced before. But it was a memorable evening of delicious food and attentive service!
This was outlr first time dinning here. No question we will be back. We were seated right away (always a plus). The waiter was more than helpful with everything from drinks to knowledge and suggestions of the menu. Which seemed genuine and not based on up sale. The food was GREAT only 4 stars just because calamari wasn't that good. But it seemed as it usually would be just not that night. Mini crab balls were great. I had the ocean and gulf (sub rice for mash) one of the best meals ive had in a long time. My fiance had the firecracker salmon also loved every bite. Prices were date night worthy. Highly recommended.
We always enjoy dining at Bluestone. Great food, good drinks, great desserts. Heather was a terrific waitress. My only complaint was the noise level. It was so loud we had trouble hearing each other,
Neither my friend nor I eat beef or pork. There were limited chicken, vegetarian, or healthier options. I ordered a small salad with grilled chicken, and I could have gotten that anywhere, even McDonald's. Very disappointing.
We considered ordering a few appetizers, but several of them were fried (crab balls) or generally fat-laden (guacamole with chips). The rolls were heavy, white flour, and they were greasy on the outside!
My friend ordered the salmon. She said it was good, but the green beans were raw and rice was... rice, for $25. It did not come with a salad.
We were seated in a small area holding 4-6 tables, and it was very noisy. We had a great server, were gone within an hour with the remnants of our bottle of wine in a bag.
I enjoy usually enjoy the Bluestone, but not after my recent visit. Have no plans to go back any time soon.
Bluestone is always a busy place for a reason. Their food is consistently good. Management is committed to great customer service. On this particular night, however, our server seemed to have more tables than he could adequately handle. Overall, we've never been disappointed.
Second time visiting BlueStone, and the food was delicious. Would recommend.
First time there.
Pros: food was outstanding. Loved the house Sangria and the crab cakes/filet were no joke. The place is huge and definitely nice.
Cons: we were seated upstairs next to a room for a private group next to a sliding barn door that most of the private party group couldn’t figure out how to open so we spent most of our date showing people how to slide the door. If there wasn’t a group in that room, the table would have been quiet and cozy, but with people in there it was a high traffic area. I actually got up and moved our table so people would stop brushing up against my hubby on the way to that room. Definitely not ideal for conversation and kind of a bummer.
There were three servers assigned to us. They took our order quickly and brought the sangria straight away. We were also given water. When the food arrived our water wasn’t topped up, and we weren’t asked if we wanted another drink (we would have ordered another round). We didn’t actually have waters refilled until after the check was brought. They could have done better there. Not sure if it was because our table was out of the way, or if it was because the staff was stretched thin for the group.
When we return, we’ll insist on being on the main floor and hope the service is better before deciding to add this to our go-to places. I’ve only ever heard good things so it was kinda a bummer that it wasn’t awesome the first try. The food makes us willing to return.
The herb salmon salad is excellent. Service seemed rushed as we were still eating when the server wanted to know if we wanted dessert.
I always enjoy Bluestone! We have been there several times! We received several gift cards for our Anniversary, so everyone knows we like it! We were there Thursday for our Grandsons birthday. Extremely wonderful waitress!!! We will go there again for sure!
I always love going there. My friends and I live an hour away from each other. Bluestone is a great in between miles to meet. It never disappoints.
The food was pretty good. Crab cake and steak were on point. Only complaint was the crab balls. They had a special for $1 per but they aren't worth it.
However, the atmosphere deteriorated the value. One room is lit like you are outside. The rest of the dining area is like a sports bar, not what you would expect at this price. The room layout was too open instead of a cozy dining room.
Wait staff was fair - nothing great.
Not a plus or minus, but we were there at 7pm and were the only ones under 55.
Always a favorite dining spot with friends. Consistent quality food and great service. The staff was very accommodating with arranging a quiet table.
