BlueFin Japanese Restaurant
Great Sushi and Sashimi. Very fresh and services was friendly and efficient.
Our go to Sushi fix before San Jise Sharks games!
Best sushi in town! Love going before Sharks games & SAP events.
We took a 4 year old and luckily had a booth. Our drinks came relatively quick then when we asked for our rolls a second time they made them quickly. Was a Friday night and the fish was fresh and overall had great drinks. We had the fresh ahi sashimi appetizer Leslie roll was our favorite and had the real crab ca roll for our daughter. Enjoyed the sake sampler and edamame - both regular and spicy.
Taken care of timely. Food delicious and fresh. Staff attentive and friendly and order delivered promptly and correctly. Have eaten here twice and would visit again. Worth the money
Had a reunion here. Food was good. We had a great time!!!!
Very nice place to have a meal. Our party consisted of 6 ppl. We were able to carry on conversation where everybody could participate and didn’t yell over each other.
Food was tasty and quality of produce was high.
The staff was very sweet and friendly. Catering to our every need. The front desk Receptionist was extremely helpful, even when we were early for our reservation, she asked if we wanted to be seated at the counter, which was very nice. Our waitress was phenomenal, catering to our every need. Food was as always......AMAZING. Fresh sushi rolls, house salad, chicken teriyaki and the Jalapeno Edammame was fantastic. We are regular customers, so the food, service and ambiance never disappoints. Thank you!
Food is no longer good. Service is ok. Location and parking are convenient.
Best quality fish in San Jose and maybe in the Bay Area. Cool atmosphere. Friendly and wonderful service. One of my favorite places for a casual and fast dinner or a lingering extravaganza.
Excellent menu choices...and very quiet on a weeknight when no events at SAP center
Wonderful food and service. A bit pricey but overall a fabulous place.
The sushi was delicious!!!!! The tempura was great! The chicken teriyaki was horrible. It wasn't grilled and the sauce tasted like bottled sauce.
Enjoy taking friends to Japanese foods and let them experience the food, different dishes and the portions are good for sharing.
Sushi was vg. Service excellent. Prices a little high
The food was delicious but pretty expensive. The service was okay.
The food was terrific and partly because it was a slow Monday on the day of the National College Football Championship the noise level was quiet and the service especially attentive. The Han Maguro was the best I've had here and the Triple Crab appetizer was definitely worth it. Try the special rolls, they are all fantastic. Come here 4-5 times a year before Sharks Hockey games and always enjoy it. Our go to place.
Got to sit near the sushi chefs, it was great food, I ordered too much, but ooh so delicious
Restaurant is nice looking but fish wasn’t that good tasting. It was Christmas Eve so maybe that is why?
Birthday great evening
The food was not up to it's normal quality. We have been coming to this restaurant for years and the quality keeps getting worse and worse. The food portions are smaller and the menu prices are higher. The taste of 2 of the 3 sushi rolls we ordered were the worst I have ever had. I could have gotten the same quality at the grocery store at half the price. The waitress brought all the food out at once even though we tried to stagger the ordering. She seemed very persistent in getting our order in.
Had a wonderful dinner just before our event at SAP Center. Great food and drinks with a staff that is on top of service. The easy walk to SAP Center is a plus too.
We all enjoyed our food but we were nearly late to the show we were seeing at the SAP as it took a very long time to receive our check. From start to finish our dinner took over 90 minutes. You'd think being near a large event center, they'd be more expedient.
Great place if you are going to an event at SAP. This place is perfect for a special dinner before SAP. Price point is high. Portions small. Miso black cod was excellent but $32 for three slices. But then at SAP I could have had a $14 hot dog. I’d go with this place again.
We were a party of 5 and we ordered drinks and food. The drink were o.k. but the food was not good. I ordered beef teriyaki and the rest of our party ordered sushi- the sushi was so- so but my steak was brought out luke warm and I did send it back. It was brought out again, 5 minutes later, and the temperature was still luke warm. We were going to a show so I couldn't return the meat. I won't go back again-
Great service & food. Only problem was, I called ahead to see what their corkage fee was. The guy on the phone told me it was told $15 . When I showed up I was told $20. They asked who I talked to. How do I know?! The (young) server told me I'd have to pay $20. I asked for the manager and then all of a sudden, the charge was $15. Moral of the story: always get a name I guess.
Headed to concert at SAP center. Super convenient location. The sushi was excellent quality. We were seated right away in a booth which mitigated some of the noise. Would definitely return.
Decent food, beautiful restaurant. Not great overall but not bad, and a reasonable price. Wouldn’t go again except before a show at SAP Center
Great food, and really good spot pre SAP concert for sure , just a little small
High quality Sushi! If you’re tired of the sushi dive restaurants and want some high quality food, this is the place. This wine list could be better.
We go before a lot of Sharks games. Great food, great service. the only issue is if you order additional sushi after your original order it takes quite a bit longer. So place your order all at once.
The fresh ahi was delicious!
I didn’t meaning to go to this place for a long time and finally got around to it! We were not disappointed in the food or the ambience. Excellent sushi and a very nice dining experience!
2nd time here, friendly staff and nice mix of Japanese and Korean dishes.
Love the shark's big bite roll!
Our favorite dinner place - often surprisingly uncrowded (except before a show at SAP or a Sharks game). Excellent service !
Fantastic food and service. The quality of the food was outstanding. Loved the udon noodle bowl. Completely satisfying. The sushi was far better quality than anything I’ve had in Ottawa. On the more expensive end.
It's our first time. We had a reservation. The interior was quite nice. We got seated immediately as it wasn't crowded. As soon as we got settled, we put in an order for Gyoza and Shrimp Tempura as appetizers. For main courses, we ordered a couple of rolls, sashimi combo and Unaju box. Somehow the appetizer order didn't get put in properly. As a result, appetizers came out with the main dishes. They were all delicious. Except for the appetizer mixup, the service was great and the servers were attentive. We were given complimentary dessert at the end. The manager also came out to apologize. All was forgiven. 5 stars all around.
Was ok , food Ok and good environment I recommend this plce
The 3 of us were seated right away at 9pm on a Thu night for a late dinner. But the waitress who served us, although friendly, took too long to bring our food out and mind you the restaurant was not busy at all --in fact place was almost empty besides the 3 of us and 3 other tables. Sushi rolls were ok and I've had much better Shasito peppers for much less at other places. Overall, food was just ok (underwhelmed by items on the menu)--not worth $ -a bit over priced for average sushi rolls & a waitress nearly forgot to bring us our check.).
