BlueFin Japanese Restaurant
This place was packed! Finding parking was a little tricky since the lot behind the restaurant was full. The food was amazing. I got the pomegranate martini and sashimi choice, and the fish was extremely fresh. Very tasty. A bit on the pricier end, but a good choice for a special night out.
Jenny was an exceptional server. Every portion of the meal was excellent!
Valentines Day - overall, it was great. Slow kitchen, but mostly makes sense. No room for special requests.
We had a great dinner on Valentine's day, the food was fresh and delicious. Service was a bit slow to begin with because the hostess did not assign our table to any waitress. We flagged one waitress down and from then on service was extremely good. Thank you Ginger!
We were staying at hotel across the street and ate here 3 nights in a row - the food was great! I had the addicting Miso Cod and my sister had the sake cama which can only be found in a few Japanese restaurants. The service was excellent!
It was great.
Jennifer is the best server ever!
Best Sushi in California!!!!
I’ve ate there twice. Excellent service, excellent quality food. Nothing bad to say about this place. Enjoy a quiet mellow dinner when eating on a weekday.
Expensive place, but great, fresh sushi & other food and good service. I was there before a Sharks game so it was a bit hectic and busy. But, I'll be back again.
The food was wonderful and the service was great. Very helpful server. Will definitely go again. The salmon rolls were the best I've ever had and the fried tofu was really tasty.
Excellent meal. Fish was very fresh. Sushi rolls were so delicious!!!!
Excellent food and service. Would highly recommend.
Great food. Reasonable prices.
MY FAMILY LOVED dinner! It was for my birthday! =}
A reliable home for comfort food.
The food here used to be exceptional, but it has become just OK, and for the price, that’s not OK.
Nice sushi choices and much improved service from
Last visit. Seated quickly and server was attentive and prompt. Will be back again
The sushi rolls were fresh and delicious!
Service was good. It was a little slow, but I think it was due to small amount of workers because our server was very attentive and always checking on us. But it did take a long time to get our food. It was great quality fresh fish. The rolls were not over powered by rice. They were out of coke 🙄 so someone needs to work on their inventory a little better. But overall a great restaurant def will eat there again when in town.
I've always enjoyed this restaurant. Parking can be difficult but the food makes it all worth-while. Excellent staff, amazing and fresh sushi.
While the food was delicious, the service was absolutely horrible! Took them 25 minutes to even come say hello to our table.
Excellent service . Wonderful fool.
The food and vibe was amazing, but what made our night really special was our waitress Ginger. Thank you.
We ordered sushi, sashimi & beef teriyaki, very disappointed, the fishes were not fresh. And the beef was over cooked, very tough. Didn’t worth for the money! Don’t understand why the reviews rating was so high, that’s meant don’t completely trust it!
Best Sushi in San Jose. Best setting. Best service. Best bar. Not much more to say...
Great food and experience here at Blue Fin. I highly recommend it!
We love the sushi and the fried tempura ice cream dessert. Always fun to come here.
Excellent experience, I’ve tried many sushi places but this location was amazing. It was definitely different. Felt very authentic.
Really good Japanese food; fast service. Plus, convenient location 5 minutes from SAP Center. Perfect spot for a good meal before heading over to SAP Center for a concert, etc.
I had the mackerel and my husband had the udon. Both were really tasty and the quality was a step up from less expensive and good but casual Japanese restaurants such as Yuki Sushi. Nice atmosphere and decor as well as good service. We went here before a show at the SAP Center and the location was really convenient. It's probably more than you need to pay for good Japanese in this area, but the ambiance and food quality and date night feel made it worth it for us.
Bluefin was a pleasant surprise! Loved sitting by the front windows. Despite the crowd before the concert service was good, drinks and good served quickly. Highly recommend the mixed tempura, just wish the meal included a small salad.
Great local sushi spot. Always excellent food and service. The hamachi with jalapeños is one of my favorites.
Great food, average service. Would definitely return!
We totally were amazed at the quality and variety of ways in which sashimi was prepared and presented at blue fin. Our favorite dish that night was the Hokkaido scallop sashimi which was tender and very subtle in taste and perfectly paired with lime juice.
Fish is one of the freshest around San Jose. Great quality sushi. It's worth the price!
I recommend sitting at the sushi bar and ordering sashimi and nigiri. Spicy tuna roll and scallop nigiri are my favorites.
We went there before a concert we asked for our food to be rushed but instead they gave our order to someone else and our food was an hour late our server was clueless and inexperienced. They ended up giving us a discount. They were not professional. Food was good though
Our favorite sushi restaurant in San Jose - amazing food and friendly service. We had their albacore tuna special with jalapeños in a lime vinaigrette. Melt in your mouth amazing! The flavor combination was delicious. Their sashimi and rolls never disappoint. Sharks big bite is always a must.
Love their location for all SAP events (sports and/or concerts). They are always attentive to the timing to get you out in time for the events.
My food was great, and our server, Sun, was even greater!
Some of the best sushi I've had. Excellent service.
