The restaurant is lovely but our experience was lousy. 9:00 on Saturday night with restaurant half full, we were seated at a table close to kitchen. The noise from bus help cleaning up dishes was so distracting and loud, we had to request a different table. We were then moved to table by waiters station. When asked about being seated upstairs, we were told that it was closed, yet there were obviously guests dining there. Beet & cauliflower appetizers, as well as Chilean sea bass were average. Salmon with vegetables was tasteless.
The restaurant is great. The service was excellent. The food was delicious . The environment was good. Me and my date really enjoyed the place.
Great food and an even better server, hunter was awesome and engaging with my family. I would highly recommend this restaurant for the quality of food and level of service
Brunch with friends. Gorgeous ambiance. Okay food. Okay service. Expensive for what it is.
We had a great Valentine’s Day dinner here. Service was great and the food was delicious. We chose a couple appetizers off their special Valentine’s Day menu and it was perfectly themed. We would absolutely come here again.
For the price, the food left much to be desired. The Chilean sea bass was basically fish in teriyaki sauce. The star of the evening was the lamb lollipops. For a tab of roughly $200, much better food can be had elsewhere.
This was my first time, on Valentine's day none the less which in NYC tends to be a disaster for diners. The food was spectacular, simple and clean. The ambiance is perfect and this is truly a must try when it comes to NYC dining. It is easy to see why they have been open for so long. 5 stars for sure.
The absolute best Sea Bass ever...ever. Fine service, good martinis and great wine. What’s not to like with your Valentine of 30 years?
What a night. Perfect for Valentine’s Day. They had a special menu. A wonderful start with Mumm’s champagne. We had crispy cauliflower with a tahini sauce on the side, crab with pasta in a truffle cream sauce, seared scallops. For dessert a chocolate mouse with coffee gelato and a lemon, blue berry, tart in a graham cracker crust. Everyone was very gracious. Our server, Alina, was excellent.
The food was rich in texture and taste I've ordered the Black sea Bass meal which was good especially the sweet potato ravioli and mushrooms but the only issue was the wait
Well this was a personal and business lunch. I had the Union Square Roll and my friend, not a seafood buffet had a sausage bowl. Service was very good, but the roll was served without chopsticks, soy sauce and green sauce. This was remedied on request, after asking. Sound level was conducive to conversation. Generally a very good experience, and highly recommended.
Overall great experience, if i had to call out something was service was a bit slow, the place wasn’t at capacity so either staffing was limited or kitchen wasn’t turning over food quick enough. Again nit picking but also compared to my previous visits it was very slow. I definitely recommend.
Excellent food and service. Very pleasant atmosphere - not too loud, tables not too close together. I will go back. Even with all those virtues, it's overpriced. But a good place.
Always had great food and service at Bluewater where I dine approx 4-5 times a year . My last meal there was a major disappoint ( and embarrassment as I had sung it’s praises to my visiting friends). I hope this was a one off and not a taste of things to come
Great food, excellent service and beautiful room. A winning combination.
Restaurant already known and tried in the past of which I had a great memory, unfortunately, the recent experience really disappointed me, I did not expect to be treated like a fast food rather than a fine restaurant.
Despite having booked, our table was not ready and there was some confusion in the room, so we asked if we could have dinner downstairs where live jazz was scheduled for the evening.
The service was really insufficient, rude and not up to a renowned restaurant in New York: we waited a long time before they came to take the order, the girl was rude and not at all professional, we solicited the wine ordered that he was brought to the table even after the starters had arrived.
Even after finishing dinner but still having the bottle of wine to finish and glasses full, the waiter started to take away everything, including full glasses! To which we asked if we were unwanted customers, since they were throwing us out.
In all this we didn't could enjoy food, the appetizers would have deserved a mention, even if the amount of the fish board were too little for two people, while the salmon and the saint jacques were badly prepared dishes, too soggy the consistency of both with a non-fresh flavor.
Very very disappointed, I will never go back, even because the bill was really high
service was awful! I do not plan on ever going again. Also as a "diner" feel. The restaurant is too big and they can't handle the capacity of people.
Always a hit for great food and service especially with out-of-town friends that you want to impress. Inventive daily specials - fish for two - that wowed the crowd.
Disappointing except for the wine. The simple seafood- fresh oysters were also good. But the hamachi in the roll was not fresh and the chef seems to believe that everything is better with figs. Service was fine as soon as it was evident we were going to run up a bill.
