Excellent wine selection and service ! Elegant ambiance !
Tasteful meals ! Wonderful experience in total !
Birthday celebration! Great food, ambience & waitstaff
Although we had a great server, the kitchen staff left something to be desired. The food came out raw or cold. I certainly didn't want to eat cold eggs benedict. One member of our party returned their meal and had to wait more than 20 minutes for another,
I have been coming to th BWG mfor many years,I will have to think about if I would ever return.
Service was outstanding
They weren't able to seat us within 30min of our reservation. This didn't seem to be a concern to them while they gave us vague / condescending updates. "If you don't hear from us in ten minutes, wait another ten." It wasn't till we started making a reservation at another restaurant that they found a table for us, which was too small to fit our five-person party.
First visit since their renovation. Lovely evening with good food and pleasant atmosphere.
Fabulous service. Our waiter anticipated all of our needs. We had four Chinese guests, and he even brought us chopsticks. They were thrilled.
Wonderful food and service, tho a bit pricey. We were able to sit a long time at lunch after we finished, which we really appreciated. It’s a big place so tgey don’t rush u out.
Had the oysters and squash sausage pasta.... It was amazing!!!
Good food, good service, excellent value, lovely ambience. An all round pleasant experience.
The was my second time at he restaurant within the last month. My request as for a quiet table on both occasions and got what was reasonably possible. The service with the same wait person was superb both times. The food was excellent. We shared three appetizers an each of us had a different entree and we each enjoyed our selections. We were not rushed through our meal, were able to enjoy our wine and then coffee . All three of us were vey pleased and will be back. These two times were my first since the renovation. I always enjoyed the restaurant but now it is even better. Bravo!
Wonderful festive atmosphere, easy to talk, great decor
Lunch was very good, seafood salad was high quality and perfect size for lunch. Our server was so nice, knowledgeable and really made the lunch.
Staff was not attentive
Excellent meal. Very loud group sitting next to us
Anytime I am in NYC I try to get to Blue Water Grill for a dinner, been coming for probably 15 years now. They didn't disappoint for sure, as usual. We had a show back up on W. 49th so we got in at 5:40 and told our waiter we needed to make sure we were out by 7 pm to get back up to the theatres in mid town and we got great service, were out before 7 pm. My wife loved the heirloom beet salad that had one variety of the beets very thinly sliced and then stuffed with goat cheese. The chocolate valhrona (sp?) mousse dessert was to die for. I had the scallops with pork belly. The scallops were fabulous. The pork belly was a bit overcooked though, pretty crunchy.
Waited 59 minutes for our meal and steak was over done when it finally arrived
Celebrated a new job at this old stand-by. Great food and service. Fish dishes are outstanding. And, was glad to see the Banana Tower was still on the menu after all these years. Can't beat it!
Durchaus zu empfehlen. Schade nur, dass es unter der Woche keine Brunch Karte gibt. Eiergerichte wären fein gewesen.
Love this place. We had a late lunch about 3:00 and it was quiet, making our experience better because we were able to chat without being disturbed. The food is world class: we had the seafood salad. It was really good. We will definitely order this again. The wine was delicious and nicely priced. A real treat after a movie.
Good good, attentive staff with good service, nice space. Will come back to try the jazz club.
What a waste. Expensive food, limited menu options for Brunch, and deplorable service. So many better options. Will not be back.
I had been here before and it was outstanding in every way. This time, just awful. We had a reservation and arrived a few minutes early. They saw that we were just regular people and immediately seated us downstairs because it was “quieter.” Ok. I can live with that. It just got worse from there. The service was slow despite not being busy. The food was terrible- not at all the outstanding food I remembered. I had Chilean sea bass with a super heavy soy-teriyaki sauce that was so thick and salty it completely overwhelmed the fish and I couldn’t even finish the dish. It had a crisp rice cake on the side that tasted like stale pimento rice. Truly bad. My son had a bowl with sashimi and sushi that was decent but not outstanding. We had molten chocolate cake for dessert and it was just ok. The server never asked if the food was ok. The only redeeming factor was the wine which was amazing. We each ordered a glass which were $13 each and the waitress suggested a bottle would be more economical. The bottle was $72. Not so economical. The whole meal was $250 including tip. Waited 15 minutes for my coat afterwards and after being handed the wrong coat three times I went down to the coat room and got my own. Absolutely would have done better to head to Hell’s Kitchen and eat just about anywhere else.
Ricky was the best! Mini lobster rolls were delicious!
Did not sing happy birthday
Came for Sunday Brunch. The Seafood Tower was amazing. Great selection of fresh seafoods. The service was great. Prompt, Courteous, and well versed on the menu.
The waiter left us for an extraordinary amount of time. The food was inedible slop. I had the seafood cobb salad, wet gloop. I left it. Everyone’s meal was so awful we celebrated my birthday elsewhere later
Our waiter was amazing. So personable and knowledgeable!
I took my dad here for lunch and we loved it. We were greeted with a smile at the host stand and shown to a fantastic booth upstairs. Fernando, our server, was pleasant and friendly. We ordered the Tuna and Rainbow roll and the apple pie. The roll presentations was fantastic and needs to be recognized. All the food was exceptional. Sam the manager stopped by and introduced himself. He also was friendly and easy to talk to. Another great experience at Blue Water Grill! I highly recommend this place to people who like seafood.
Hostess was very rude.
The second floor booths are a great spot for a date.
It was fine but nothing extraordinary. Enjoyed the Oysters but Lobster Spring Rolls were greasy, pasta average, and shrimp dumplings just okay.
Everything was great! Our server Julian was one of the most professional waiters I have ever experienced in New York City.
FABULOUS food, wonderful service, beautiful setting. PRICEY but worth it for special occasions. The luncheon prix fixe at $22.22 is the bargain way to go!
Poor service. Food was bland. Served the soup and the main course at the same time. Would not go back.
Small portion for the cost of the entree, but presented beautifully and it was delicious.
We had a delicious lunch and fabulous service!!
What has happened to this restaurant. Virtually no one was in the place at 1pm on a Sunday.
