Blue Water Cafe Ratings and Reviews
This place was outstanding! By far one of the best meals I have ever had. The service was amazing, the food was incredible. Had the Sashimi platter and Seafood tower. The presentation was fantastic and the food was like butter!
As for the service, every one from the bartender, the server and the hostess were perfect. And to top it off the ‘maitre d’ ran out in the slushy rain at 11pm to hail us a cab! This restaurant is simply perfect!!!
Sea food, service, kichten/employees organization were perfect and even washrooms were of great quality (worth the mention)! Not too overpriced for the excellent quality of food. I would totally recommend this place, for a relaxed ambiance or a well dressed occasion, and would surely come back! Loved it!
Blue Water was fantastic last night!!
The ‘unsung hero’s menu’ was excellent!!
We will be going back in February to try some more dishes.
The hostess staff were super helpful.
Adam and Luke, at the bar ..... the best.
I love the way management and staff take special care of everyone!
This was the first time my wife and I have attended this restaurant. We were impressed by the friendly service, from the hostesses to the servers. Being a seafood restaurant, we were expecting a chowder type soup, but happily accepted the delicious carrot soup. There was good selection of beers. Having the birthday greeting on my dessert dish was greatly appreciated. We will happily return in the future.
Blue Water was one of our bucket list restaurants and we jumped at the chance to go there for dinner for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. We really appreciated all the thoughtful touches the restaurant made to help make our celebration even more special. We cant wait to go back.
This was probably one of the best experiences I have had. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was above and beyond. The atmosphere was great. There is nothing bad I can say. If I lived I. Vancouver I would go here as often as I could. It is worth the price. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!! I can’t recommend this restaurant enough!!!
My boyfriend and I chose Blue Water for a date night as we were both wanting seafood and to try somewhere new. Blue Water is a very beautiful restaurant, and the ambience definitely makes you feel fancy. We shared a bottle of wine, 12 oysters, sashimi platter, side of pomme frites, sturgeon entree and lingcod entree. We let the chef choose the oyster, and they were absolutely delicious. Each one had their own unique taste and characteristics. The sashimi platter was very good, but not the best sashimi I have had. The pomme frites were DELICIOUS, best fries we've ever had. The sturgeon and lingcod were both cooked perfectly and moist. The entire night was amazing, and we ended up spotting Neil Patrick Harris by the sushi bar! This place is expensive but worth the experience. Can't wait to go again.
Most of the food was outstanding, but ridiculously pricey. The spinach dish was no more than 25 leaves of spinach lightly steamed for over $10....very disappointing. I certainly expected more. However, the sablefish was beyond superb. Excellent service. Décor was very noisy...some soft music would lower the level of conversation. This restaurant needs to get the respect it deserves and blaring music just makes it necessary to speak louder.
Blue water cafe is the best. The food the drinks the restaurant service are all the best.
My only complaint is the valet service. The charge is $13 to park; I had to find the valet in the restaurant after waiting outside in the rain, my car was actually parked just across the street, I gave him a 20 dollar bill, he took it and awkwardly stood there.....I didn't walk away, then finally he said "oh do you want change?"
What a joke, I may have tipped 7 dollars for great service, but come on! I was there the evening of the 24th of January.
Went there for our special occasion, first time dining at Blue Water Cafe. The hostess was very welcoming and guided us to our table promptly. The waitress that helped us was incredibly helpful (even though she probably had injury on her wrist seeing her with supporters, but she still provided top notch service! ) and introduced us to the special of the day and various great options on the menu. We had the seafood tower, nigiri platter, and uni nigiri; all of the seafood tasted so fresh, my girlfriend said she hasn't tasted seafood so fresh!
Will recommend coming here, also recommend making reservations beforehand since it was very busy even on a Tuesday night. Will definitely be coming back again!
